Chapter 6: Madara's final battle

I moved back a distance. Though I could break his genjutsu, it still stunned me for a short time. Madara detached himself from the tree. I noticed his body was almost as withered as my father's.

His eye flickered and I became engulfed in black flames. I held out my arm and the flames dissipated. He came at me with incredible speed, despite his withered form. I entered sage mode and dodged his attack just in time. I held my hand out and threw him against the wall with shinra tensei.

"Sage art: Wrath of the flaming dragon's mane!" I screamed as my hair flew out and pressed Madara against the wall. I fired a ball of hot white flame out of my mouth that traveled up my hair and incinerated Madara. I cut off my singed hair and jumped as he returned a fireball of his own. I was without words when I saw him stand, unharmed from my attack.

"Do you believe those miserable attacks will be sufficient in harming me?" he said as a purple aura surrounded him, taking the form of a two headed, four armed skeleton. I had never seen anything like it. I knew that whatever it was, it was powerful. I grabbed the staff off my back, spinning it around my wrist and pointing the ring at the strange jutsu. Before Madara could attack, I ran at full speed, slashing the hulking figure with the bladed ring. My attack easily cut through it's form. "What?! How can that miserable staff cut through my Susanoo?"

"I know little of your Susanoo. But this staff is a sacred weapon, wielded by the Sage himself," I replied.

"I see. You are a unique one indeed. I will enjoy tearing that weapon from your hands and using it to cut you in two," He said as he moved to strike me with Susanoo's arms. I sliced off the arm with the staff, and countered by sheering off both heads with one powerful motion. The Susanoo disipated, leaving Madara visibly exhausted.

"I have you figured out Madara. The reason you are attached to that tree. You need it to survive. My Rinnegan can see that you are using it to leach chakra. Now that you have detached. You have a short shelf life," I jeered.

"Hm, I need nothing. I will kill you. Just because you have those eyes means nothing," He said as he closed his eyes. He opened them again and revealed his own Rinnegan.

I used my speed to get behind him and I put my hand on his head, "in that case. I must end this now." I pulled my hand away, ripping out his soul. His body fell limp on the ground. "Damn bastard."

I worked my way out of that den. I was surprised that Tobi teleported me so far from Amegakure. I looked around and noticed I was in the land of Iron, very far from home. I slowly made my way back, and after restoring my chakra I moved with greater angst. It took me some time to return do to my unfimiliarity with the land of iron. As I traveled, I heard that there was a kage summit and that the shinobi nations were preparing for war.

When I finally returned home. I finally realized why Tobi brought me so far from Amegakure. I couldn't believe it at first. But then I saw her. My mother...lying in a puddle of her own blood.
