Chapter 5: God's Clash

It had been many years since I was banished from Amegakure. Since I last time I saw my mother and father. I am now 18 years old. I have walked every inch of this land, serving as an assassin and a mercenary at times. It was what I had to do to feed myself. I looked at the Magatama jewels around my neck. To think they once belonged to a god is unfathamable. The Rikudo Sennin's staff was held securelly to my back. Whenever I was alone I trained with it. And using these items I can feel my mastery of my powers furthering with every moment. Just the residual chakra left from so many generations ago is so potent that it sends chills up my spine.

My mastery of senjutsu has taken me very far as well. I have taken it to a point where I subconsciously create senjutsu chakra. The roab my mother gave me ten years ago no longer fit me. I was forced to hem it. Rather then a cloak that covered my body, it was now like a hama, a battle scirt used to hide my foot movements. The only other clothing I wore now was a pair of shorts under my hama, a strap to hold the staff onto my back and the ancient neclace I wore around my neck. I used to wear dark glasses to conceal my special eyes, but a few years ago I mastered the ability to switch between my rinnegan and my amber collored normal eyes.

Some found my lack of coverage, lack of armor, and overall strange appearal as a reason to scorn me or mock me. But the way they close themselves off to the world only shows their cowardice. Leaving most of my body exposed not only shows my strong muscular body aquired by training, but it also makes taping into nature and senjutsu chakra easier. My hair, which some find an inconvenience, now is long enough to reach down my middle back. I tie it back slightly to keep it out of my face. My how I have changed from my feable father. If only the dieing old man could see me know.

In my recent travels, I have heard many strange things. A group of S-rank shinobi causing terror across the great nations. It had surprised me to hear the name of the group was called "Akatsuki" the same name as my parent's organization. I was in disbelief until I began to hear more. They were apearantly hunting tailed beasts, something my father mentioned before my banishment. Then it all came to me when I heard of the most recent attack. The invasion of the Akatsuki leader...Pain. My father. The description matched perfectly. Six orange haired bodies being controlled by the leader of Amegakure and his partner, a blue haired woman, taking away the corpses of one of the bodies and the man controlling it.

I ran to Konohagakure where the invasion occured. The ground was covered in rubble and the terrain that was once flat had become a crater.

"Only one jutsu could have done this!" I declared as I ran at incredible speeds. I was going home.

It began to rain, and I knew I was close. The puddles turned to lakes of collected rain water and then before me was the walls of Amegakure. I ran past the door as the guards screamed out at me. I ran into the center of the city. Citizens and shinobi backed away as the sheer weight of my chakra forced them to flee. I ran to my father's tower. At it's base stood a new building. I ran inside.

Kneeling on the ground was my mother. In front of her was a massive bed of paper flowers and laying upon it was my father and my god-father Yahiko, the deva path. My mother turned around and saw me. She began to weep and clung to me.

"I'm so sorry, my son...Zenkutsu," she said as she weeped. I tried to comfort her, but she continued to speak. "If I had said something more, perhaps you could have stayed."

"Mother, because of my banishment, I have become a man. A strong man. You can fret no longer," I said as I hugged the woman that birthed me. It had been so long since I felt her warmth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a few days later, that life for me found a sense of normalcy and peace. It was comforting that I did not have to starve for days to save up money for food. I had missed my mother for so long, the rain almost felt good.

I walked out of the walls of Amegakure. It was nice to take a walk out of the big city every now and then.

Suddenly, a flash of light enveloped me and I fell unconscious.

When I awoke, I was in a dark chamber, laying on the floor. I looked up to see the man who struck my mother all those years ago.

"Uchiha Madara!" I screamed.

"Not quite," an unfamiliar voice rang out. The masked man stepped aside and behind him was what looked like a giant deformed tree. At it's base was the scourse of the voice. A decrepit old man with pale white skin and black hair that covered his face.

"You can call me Tobi, son of Nagato. That man over there, is the real Madara Uchiha," the masked man declared as he picked me up by my hair and made me stand up. I pushed him away from me and I stepped forward to face Madara.

"You are a legendary man. But even legends die of old age. How can I be certain you are Madara Uchiha?" I asked. The man pulled his arm out of the tree and pulled his hair away from his eye and face. I could see a strange red eye with black markings. "I see, that is the eternal mangekyou sharingan I have heard so much about. Considering the other Uchiha are dead, who else could it be."

"You must be the son of the brat Nagato that Tobi has told me about. Seeing as how the brat is dead now," he responded.

"Do not speak Ill of my father! And how are you alive anyway?" I shot back.

"I am being kept alive by the power of Senju Hashirama. I shall live so long as my interest can be met," he calmly responded. I activated my rinnegan.

"And what is your interest?" I asked.

"A mere child like you would not understand. And do you think those eyes frighten me?" he asked as a wooden branch wrapped around my arm and slammed me hard into a wall before bringing me to face Madara. He grabbed onto my head and held my eyes open and facing towards him with his hand. He opened one of his eyes wide as I felt my body lock. My muscles would not respond. All I could see were red and black daggers appearing out of nowhere and stabbing me. "Tsukuyomi," He declared.

Madara was surprised when suddenly I broke my arm free of the wood and grabbed a hold of his neck. The wood that ensnared by body broke as I used preta path to absorb the chakra and make it brittle. Madara began to gasp for air as I held his weak throat shut. He is formiddable, but old age has made him fragile.

Tobi began to lunge for me, but I sent him flying. I jumped as wood bursted from the ground under me.

"Tobi, leave us. I want to gauge his streangth!" Madara declared as his fully body emerged from the tree.

Tobi disipeared as I felt my Senjutsu chakra flowing.
