Because in my point of view, if you are in a serious battle. You should tell where you chose to strike the opponent. To my knowledge he may think that stabbing my in the leg is a killing strike with a Tanto...

If i'm wrong please correct me .

It's pretty self explanatory.When someone say's he kills you from behind he surely doesn't mean that he stabs your leg.He clearly means he stabbed you in the neck or some other vital place.
