Give me reasons why Obito was an idiot and got friendzoned?

I don't need to say anything else. Obito's last regrets to his uncertainty was that "He never told Rin that he loved her" and "Just when Kakashi and me we're just becoming friends". That's it. In no way, shape or form was he ever friendzoned. Sure he had feelings for her deeply and he already know that she was into Kakashi even to the point of being depressed and repressing emotions. So no the death of Rin and the world that he lives in caused his resolved to force everyone into the dream world. Where he stated to live in this world with Rin and Kakashi.

What makes Nagato any different? Is it because its a girl cause that's pretty sexist. Nagato cared for Yahiko and upon his death went crazy the same way.

Nagato is no different than Obito.

They both became evil for the same reason, and it was not because of a girl.

In both cases, the death of that certain loved one (Yahiko and Rin), proved to them how evil the way of shinobi really is. They did not do all those things because of the deaths of those people, they did it because of the deaths of the millions who have died due to how flawed the ninja system really is. Even if they went the wrong way about it, their intentions were truly, peace. People who state that they are doing this due to simple reasons like the death of a single person are simply not looking at the whole picture.

Nope. Nagato was the protecter. Konan and Yahiko did have feelings for each other though. Of course I showed that pic. It shows a really meaning behind it than what other people say.
