[GIMP] How to save a GIF image

i just made a animation on gimp and i can save it fine but when i click on it it just links me to the internet. any detailed help on how to save a GIF animation.

You could save the whole page and then go to the folder and copy the image.

in windows gif will open in internet explorer only, can also try in opera, mozilla also.

When on Gimp save it as a .GIF. Save as Animation. When you click on it to view it, it'll open on internet explorer 'coz windows photo viewer doesn't show animated GIF images. It's still an image though and can still be uploaded.

I had a similar problem before when my GIF's would be still images so I switched to vieweing on Internet Explorer. Although on Internet Explorer the animation looks a bit slower when uploaded it'll be regular speed
