(Suiton: Mizu-Yaki-Ire) - Water Release: Water Hardening
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra Cost: 25 (+10 per turn)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does 2 hand seals and is able to cause any small amount of water (C-rank and below) to harden temporarily. This only works on the user's water created water or manipulated water. This jutsu follows the same principle as the Water Sword of Draining in which it will harden the water so much so that it can match steel's hardness. However, it will only last a few moments, as chakra needs to be fueled into it to keep it harden.
Note: User can keep it harden for a maximum of 2 turns, as long as he keeps focusing chakra into it and doesn't perform other techniques.

Explain how it works and then do eet.

By coagulating a huge amount of my chakra in an already created water technique I can make it turn into a solid that matches steel's hardness. Since it requires precise chakra control, it doesn't last long and it requires the user to fuel the technique with chakra in order to keep it active. Of course, while doing so, he can't perform any other techniques.

It's applicable only for techniques up to C rank? Which rank is the new steel-like water then? C or B? It still follows the regular strengths and weaknesses of water release, even though it's hardness is improved?

It still follows the elemental strengths and weaknesses in terms of chakra but then again it's as hard as steel so that should also be noted. B-rank strength chakra but the size remains the same as the C-rank techniques. It works for D-rank and C-rank techniques. I guess if a water technique is weakened and say about half of it remains, that amount could be used for this technique.

I'd say it also works for rain techniques and custom elements that involve the usage of water as a medium such as solute elements since the technique applies to any water that is created or manipulated by the user. Since ice is water, I guess that too.

Interesting. No more questions. :)
