A GFX battle is between two people, your just a third leg helping the process, the battle should be moulded around the competitors, not you.

Thats my point, those rules aren't based around them, they're what you decided, who are you to tell him you'll disqualify him from his own battle, for not following YOUR rules, not his rules, not Dark Rood's rules, YOUR rules, it's not your battle, it's theirs, so it should be their rules.
