"COUGH" Gildarts wheezed in pained and irregular rasps. Through drowsy lids, he'd strained to see and witness several snapped tree-branches lingering above-head. Its within the dilapidated neighborhoods of Galleyard and the outskirts of the eerily mystical Sternwood that Shiki and was born and raised by "wolves".

With the Pirate King's disappearance, the emboldened Emperor had wasted no time with his violent coup to swindle his rival's domain. The wandering monk had sworn that his pursuit and claim of the Strongest Creature title would never be blemished with such cowardice. The merchant's opening statement is all it takes to sour Shiki's mood. However, the wandering monk smirks at the bearded man's blatant derisive tone and remains momentarily silent gauging this gormless gnome [ Analytical ]. His pomposity was from the same ilk that is the bane of Shiki's existence. Contrary to the squalor of the village's residents, the nauseating aura of greed exudes from the man whose physique and garments speak to decadence. As an orphaned youngling Shiki had witnessed the duplicitous nature of merchants. Their obsession with materialism and consumption was so perverse and insatiable it often manifested into the physical. If the rotund man appearance is any indication, it was safe to say he'd had enough for several lifetimes.

Yet, here he was haggling Shiki to spend on useless contraptions which no doubt had exorbitant fees. It doesn't take Shiki much to ascertain the man's level within his self-styled point system. As with every robber baron he's meet, be they aristocrat or merchant, Shiki was dealing with a glorified
Pig. Thus, he remains leaning on the counter and appeases the pig's desires, "The area I'm after is marketed as pitch black. I'm willing to part with a considerable amount for that Flash Dial. How does double ( 400K ) for total illumination sound" Shiki divulges and winks whilst tapping against his purse. He neither flashes nor provide his monies, opting to let the chime of coins teasingly linger in the air as he awaits the merchant's response. @Panda Man

Shiki sits leg crossed upon a black rock inscribed with mysterious runic spirals. Several of such rocks, their numbers in the low thousands, populate the expansive grassland and gives the entire terrain a mystical ambiance. Although, he'd loved to stare and admire the landscape's oddities, his attention is directed elsewhere. The source of his infatuation, is positioned 10 meters ahead. A towering mass draped in black wrought steel with an expression befitting his station as a Sternritter. This hunt would be glorious, Shiki surmises as he cracks his knuckles and rose.


At the opposing end Guts initiates an attack, clasping his sword and swinging it. If and when successful he'd rush at the opponents, "How brazen!! A man with that much armor's asking for challenge!! You're practically hidden in a fortress." Shiki would taunt the Tortoise and push [ Clash Card x2 | Tapped Potential ] forth a doubled dimensioned G Rank projectile [ 8 Damage | 700 lbs ].
