getting over a girl?

does anyone have any tips for getting over a girlfriend that you just want to forget about. i just got out of a serious relationship and all i want to do is forget.

depends what kind of person you are bro, I would suggest to go travel for a bit.
if you have money go out of country, or camping.
if you're more of party person, then perhaps clubbing would help but don't overdo it.

Occupy yourself with other things. And don't listen to any of those "heart broken, post break up" kinda songs. Dont read any poetry about that stuff, dont watch any movies about it, find something else that you like to do and immerse yourself in it, learn an instrument, read a book, play a video game with your friends, stuff like that. a girl broke up with me about 6years ago, I still like her kinda, she never gave me a reason and we don't hardly speak anymore.
If you really liked her you wouldn't want to forget, Yes it's painful but aslong as she is happy that should be all you need to move on.
