He said "they are always getting away with something" and continued to harass Trayvon.
"They" refers to African Americans. Like I said, there goes your motive

"They" couldn't he have meant people that look like gang members or people with hoodies? They is very vague and now you are putting words in his mouth. You want him to be guilty just so you can hate him -_-
From an unbiased standpoint I think he used unnecessary force to defend himself. At least where I'm from you can only kill someone if they try to kill you first not for punching you. But I do see why Zimmerman was carrying the gun in case someone broke in the community with a weapon. He really should have let the cops look for and question treyvon. Then an innocent boy wouldn't have died.

Trayvon Martin was slamming Zimmerman's head into concrete over and over. Zimmerman even called for help many times. He finally resorted to using his gun because he was choking on his own blood and couldn't breathe. All available evidence and eyewitness reports support this.

To be honest looking at it from zimmerman's side, Travyon may not have appeared to be doing nothing.
As stated before the neighborhood had many recent break-ins mostly commited by "black" people.
If trayvon was cutting through houses and just looking around, yeah it could have looked kinda suspicious.
Also only reason that zimmerman got of was because the prosecution couldn't prove that zimmerman didnt shoot trayvon in self-defense and many of the prosecutions witnesses testified to the fact that Travyon and zimmerman were engaged in a fight and that one was on top of the other.
Yes this was a Legal homocide and is protected by law. It doesnt make it morally right though.
But you cant judge people based by morals because thats just plan unfair and is not justice.
