I'll list some notable details about the clan first;
1. One of four noble clans of Konoha
2. Considered the strongest among the four (I mean the Uchiha are dead, Akimichi only focus on eating potato chips, and Aburame are weird insect folks. No wonder the Hyuga are leading)
3. The Hyuga are descends of the Otsutsuki clan, from Hamura's side to be specific, making them distant relatives to other clans like Uchiha (wow!), Uzumaki (does that mean Sasuke and Naruto are cousins? Holy Alabama)
4. They still have (or had during first part of Naruto) this weird obsession with hierarchy and thus the clan is split into head and branch houses, with branch shinobis always in risk of being Avada Kadabra'd by their blood cousins (essentially).
5. Hamura's direct descendants can also potentially acquire the Tenseigan without facing the adverse effects, unlike the branch house members, though that is clearly incredibly rare in the first place. This means a Hyuga has the ability to possess more than one KG.
6. The main focus here is the Byakugan, one of the three great dojutsu. It is a magic eye that gives pseudo omni-directional vision, ability to see through solid objects, track better than naked eye and most importantly, view the chakra system of other people.

Gentle fist is the fighting style developed using the advantages of the Byakugan, where Hyugas use their innate ability to expel chakra from every chakra hole in their body. This requires immense chakra control and training but results in an ability that can have pin-point accuracy when dealing with the weak points of techniques/or even people. All of its fighting forms includes either palm attacks, or finger attacks, or chakra blasts. Forcing your own chakra into someone else's chakra system essentially results in devastating damage - making them fierce opponents, moreso at close range. This fighting style is also known to be the strongest style of Taijutsu in Konoha, even though it trades in an individual's raw power for precision. These fast gentle strikes are ruthlessly strong yet versatile.

For the final question, I only have one answer: Nara rules U_U

Great answer!

Now let's begin with the main thing, lovely old Byakugan.

(Dōjutsu: Byakugan) Eye Technique: The All Seeing White Eye
Type:
Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 15 (+5 per turn to keep active)
Damage: N/A
Description: The kekkei genkai intrinsic to both the Hyūga and Ōtsutsuki clans—descendants of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki. Those who possess this dōjutsu have it manifested as eyes with featureless white irides and no visible pupils. And when activated, the pupils become more distinct and the veins near their temples bulge. To activate the dōjutsu, Hyuga but not Ōtsutsuki clan members are initially obliged to use a rather long and specific sequence of handseals: Horse → Tiger → Boar → Hare → Rat → Dog → Horse → Dog → Hare → Rat → Boar → Snake. But once activated, the dōjutsu user is endowed with a range of skills.

To start, an activated Byakugan gives the user a near 360º diameter field of vision bar one blind spot at the back of the neck, above the first thoracic vertebra. Its vision can penetrate through any solid objects or obstructions, and likewise remains unaffected by blinding interferences. But that being said, certain barriers and the like may distort its perception. In addition, it is able to follow high-speed movements, which enables those with this dōjutsu to analyze their foes' actions and better react to them. The Byakugan is also able to see chakra to a higher degree than the Sharingan and ergo, identify where a person's chakra signature originates from. Beyond that, it can discern certain types of clones from the real person. And its ability to see chakra is in fact so acute that those who possess this dōjutsu are even able to see the chakra pathway system and the 361 tenketsu that comprise it. The Hyūga clan has gone so far as to develop their unique Gentle Fist style in order to capitalize on this particular ability.

Note: Hyuga clan bios of at least Jonin rank become able to passively activate their dōjutsu upon one month having passed since Gentle Fist training concluded. Ōtsutsuki bios never need to expend a move in order to activate it.
Note: While traversing the NW, bios with activated Byakugan are able to see up to two 2 adjacent landmarks away while those of sage rank can see as far as three away, but this doesn't extend beyond an ocean landmark

As mentioned in my reply above, there's a few notable things about the Byakugan:
1. The ability to view chakra systems
2. ~360' vision apart from a blind-spot behind the neck
3. Tracking ability
4. Recognizing chakra signatures to differentiate techniques and even people
5. Serves as the foundation that allows them to use Gentle Fist

Apart from that, its' a little annoying with the long handseal for beginner biographies, until they get passively activated. I also am gonna switch up to an Otsutsuki when I get a chance for the same reason; (and also the Tenseigan and power level escalation). Something I am really curious is how it perceives energy apart from chakra like Stone of Gelal, Prana, Nekura foul chakra, Claymore chakra, etc. Like what do they "see", essentially, in place of the blue/red/whatever hue of chakra.

Personally I would go with Hyuga Tense, otherwise known as Tendogan I believe. As for the colours, idk man, just wing it. Though in regards to Stone of Gelel, it would pose an interesting question. I'll give you an answer in the next reply once I go through some notes.

Anyways, let us begin!

(Jūken: Tenketsushin) - Gentle Fist: Tenketsu Needle
Type:
Offensive
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: Targeting a single chakra point, the user delivers a two-fingered strike at the opponent, in an attempt to plug the chakra that's being used and halt its flow.

(Jūken: Hyūga Ryuu Taijutsu) - Gentle Fist: Hyūga Style Taijutsu
Type:
Offensive
Rank: D
Range: Short
Chakra: 10
Damage: 20
Description: A mini barrage of gentle fist strikes that equal 16 in total. Rather than targeting chakra points, the strikes can hit multiple inner organs to cause more widespread damage overall.

(Jūken: Hakkeshou Kaiten) - Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Palm Revolving Heaven
Type:
Defensive/Offensive
Rank: D-S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 10-40
Damage: 20-80
Description: A maneuver that obliges advanced chakra control—achieved via training in the Gentle Fist style—to release varied amounts of chakra from all of the user's 361 tenketsu, simultaneously. And in the midst of doing so, the user proceeds to rapidly spin and thereby, form a rotating shield of chakra with their own person at the epicenter. This functions as a defense to compensate for the Byakugan's blind spot as the released chakra blocks everything in a true 360° range and is able to send those struck by it careening back.

Note: D to C-rank is short-range while each rank thereafter will increase the diameter by 5 meters

I have a few questions.

For the first one:
1. Can you use it to dodge Taujutsu/or something similar by targeting the tenktsu point near opponent's legs so that your upper body ducks below (essentially); since there's no mention of what specific tenketsu point its gonna attack.
2. If this attack is successful, what would happen, say, to an opponent building chakra on his left arm have one tenketsu point on the forearm halted - halting the entire flow as a result. Could the technique continue to be built even if the flow was cut off in the middle?

For the second one:
1. Can these strikes be a mixture of fingers, palms and fists? Or is it something specific?

For the third one:
1. The ground is still venerable below, I assume, near the feet. So any technique like earthquake, sticky mud, etc that disrupts the caster's balance would cancel the technique, no?
2. Would a C-rank earthquake, for instance, be enough to stop an A-rank spin (say)?
3. How this dome (essentially) spread to longer ranges? Does it move across from a point of origin like a shinra tensei would or the range already is set from start?
4. If someone is in Short-range, and I use the Long range version, how would the technique hit them? Will they be "inside" the spinning thing or does it just push them away?

1.1: Yeah you can.
1.2 Depends on the jutsu and where/when. Generally this isn't used unless through higher ranked variations that target multiple points. So I don't believe there is an actual instance of it being used in the RP, but if I had to rule on it. Let's say you hit the correct spot at the right timing, I'd say it would stop attacks of D rank strength or equivalent based on S/Ws of the technique involved.

2.1 A mix to your combo mix is the answer.

3.1 Yes but no. If you're in the air, it can be similar to the annoying assist in ninja storm.
3.2 I would say yes, although in most likelihood the counter would lead to you eating the rotation full on in exchange before it is stopped.
3.3 It expands from the user to the range.
3.4 Pushes them to long range as it expands.

Next up!

(Jūken: Hakke Sanjūni Shō) - Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Sixteen Palms
Type:
Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: A maneuver that in effect is akin to a halved variant of the Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms and accordingly, halts the flow of chakra that circulates in sixteen tenketsu of the foe's chakra pathway system. If the selected tenketsu are localized to a single limb, then the recipient of this move is rendered unable to use the targeted limb for ninjutsu for one turn, which includes those with applied passives. If the strikes are not all localized to a single limb, then the foe will instead be unable to use chakra surges of S-rank and higher for one turn. Beyond those effects, the usage of this maneuver will reduce the victim's chakra supply and any accumulated senjutsu chakra by 5% per use.

(Jūken: Hakke Kakuu Raishuu) – Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Aerial Attack
Type:
Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user runs toward an enemy at full speed before jumping and hitting one of the foe’s vital organs. Alternatively, the user may jump from a high distance, then descend into the palm attack After being hit, the target will incur a decrease to their base speed.

Note: Base speed is reduced by 1 level per use and the effect lasts for up to five turns.

(Jūken: Byakugan Sandageki) - Gentle Fist: Byakugan Three Strikes
Type:
Offensive
Rank: C
Range: Short
Chakra: 15
Damage: 30
Description: The user grabs the opponent's extended arm, flips them around, then strikes them thrice on the back with enough force to send them flying.

Nothing difficult or confusing about any of these techs. The first technique is used to cut off chakra supply in a much better way than the D-rank variant we discussed previously. The second technique has a cool theory behind it, and it seems like it could make sense but I would rather build a custom Gentle Fist CJ with similar effects to turn it into a supplementary technique that lasts a while. Also what's the lowest base speed that can be experienced by the opponent.? The third one is simple, and that usually means strong, I would think. It would be difficult for regular Tai to counter it since you'll always be having great tracking and any speed advantage over your opponent is just a +

I believe there is a specialty for Hyuga you'd like to use. Could build on that for some nice customs. It can be 1 or whatever, but I believe the reduction afforded to a single custom is 40% at most.

Next three!

(Jūken: Hakke Sanjūni Shō) - Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Thirty-Two Palms
Type:
Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: A maneuver that in effect is akin to a halved variant of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms but is able to be performed at 1.5x the user's current speed and accordingly, halts the flow of chakra that circulates in thirty-two tenketsu of the foe's chakra pathway system. The recipient of this move will be rendered unable to use more than 50 chakra in individual attacks, which includes those with applied passives, for three turns. Beyond that effect, the usage of this maneuver will reduce the victim's chakra supply and any accumulated senjutsu chakra by 10% for two turns.

(Jūken: Shukūken) - Gentle Fist: Palm Bottom
Type:
Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: This attack consists of a quick, precise thrust of the user's palm to an opponent's body. Like other Gentle Fist techniques, it sends chakra into the target to cause internal damage that paralyzes them for one turn.

(Jūken: Chou) - Gentle Fist: Block
Type:
Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A (+10 if the opponent makes direct contact)
Description: The user exerts chakra from several tenketsu from a single part of their body, this chakra is gathered roughly ten centimeters away from the user's skin and forms a small shield of chakra, no bigger than twice the size of an average palm conveniently useable as a way to block tai/kenjutsu attacks(upto B-Rank) but is weak to elemental techniques as it's merely raw chakra which does not require advanced chakra manipulation. If the opponent makes physical contact with the shield they will suffer slight damage across the part of their skin which connected with it. The shield itself is no bigger than twice the size of an average palm and can block Tai/Kenjutsu attacks up to B-Rank as well as Elemental attacks up to C-Rank within reason.

Note: Useable five times per event

I've already picked up the specialty, but yeah it could work well with the slow thing - I see many possibilities now >_> If you've ever read Tower of God, is something that can be pulled into Gentle Fist CFS territory with similar concept.
(gonna overthrow Nara on the side too <_<)

  • Talking about the first technique, it's the basic version Hinata could do at most during Pre-Shippuden iirc. The description is simple enough so I understand it but I LOVE the speed multiplier. It makes sense logically, along with being a strong feature. Almost makes me wanna go for Hyuga Tenseigan but the Otsutsuki got the Mode which is STRONK as heck (as well as having a few Deva path techs).

  • Second technique is fairly strong as well, and tbh makes me wanna actually use it at close range as a counter. One turn paralysis is crazy. On the flip side, if you were to get hit by it, how would you proceed next in the situation? Wouldn't that be similar to getting a KO?

  • Block. o-o

Overthrow my ass! Like on the dancefloor !!

Nah you can still use chakra and release bursts/handseal-less techs.

(Jūho: Tamashii Baindingu Saakuru) - Gentle Step: Soul Binding Circle
Type:
Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: The user channels chakra into one of their feet. Once they do, they will quickly stomp the ground and in the same motion, release a wave of chakra that quickly travels above ground surface. More specifically, the chakra manifests as a white omnidirectional ring that, upon contact with an enemy's body, the chakra will briefly paralyze their feet. It is similar to Palm Heel Strike, insofar as it causes one's muscles to be slightly damaged. This can also be applied through a kick, should it connect with the target, and forces the user's chakra into a specific bodily area with even more potent effects. The attack, itself, lacks tangible properties and ergo, phases through physical techniques (e.g., Earth and Water) without being hindered.

Note: Each application is useable only twice per battle.
Note: Paralysis lasts one or two turns—first and second applications, respectively.
Note: Courtesy of Nakiri.

(Jūken: Hakkeshou Kuuten) - Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Palm Grating Heaven
Type:
Offensive/Defensive
Rank: B-S
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20-40
Damage: 40-80
Description: A variant of Eight Trigrams Palm Revolving Heaven whereby the user follows the same process but also shapes the outputted chakra into razor sharp blades. Ergo, those struck by it are not repelled by concussive force but are instead subjected to being reduced to small shreds by coming into contact with what is akin to a giant revolving grater.

Note: B-rank is short-range while each rank thereafter increase the range by one level.

Jūkenpō/Fūton: Tekken no Shippuu) – Gentle Fist Style/Wind Release: Gale Fist
Type:
Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Self
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A (+10 to Gentle Fist)
Description: One of the most basic weaknesses of Gentle Fist is it's raw nature, unable to withstand elemental chakra of the same level unless it possesses a greater density or an advanced shape-.. this technique has been developed to overcome said weakness. Just before executing a Gentle Fist technique and in the same timeframe a Hyuuga converts the raw chakra to wind chakra a split second before exerting it. Due to the nature given to the chakra it gains a slight cutting ability aswell as a slight gusting force behind it but due to the conversion of the nature of the chakra into wind chakra it loses it's ability to deal internal damage and solely damages the target externally, making this technique most suited towards ranged Gentle Fist techniques that do not rely on internal damage in the first place. This technique however can only be utilized in combination with gentle fist techniques that do not require advanced shape manipulation nor the ones that possess an increased density such as the rotation techniques.

Note: Requires mastery of Gentle Fist.
Note: No Gentle Fist above A-Rank in the next turn.
Note: Usable four times per battle with a one turn cooldown inbetween uses.
Note: Courtesy of Tybone

First of all, this technique is very stylish and fairly useful I would say. But what's the height on the wave of chakra? Is it only a couple of feet? Can jumping avoid this technique? Paralyze means you just can't move your feet I'm guessing. Though each application usable twice means 2x2=4 right? I don't know why a B-Rank has such a harsh restriction tho :/

Similar to the Inazuka technique I would say, but you're stationary at a point. Kinda worse when you think about it, tbh.

The third one is very cool in concept, a supp jutsu that augments non-rotation techniques in Gentle Fist and makes them viable. Though the lack of internal damage is a bit meh. But I like the fact that this technique means I can move forward with my Gentle Fist Sound CFS >_> since the concept isn't too far off. And once again, the restrictions are way too much for me, personally. It feels like limiting an S-Rank tech. Especially because I can't use it in rotations. Like it would have made fighting against elements that are weak to wind a breeze.

Size I'd ask Ian exactly for what he intended as it is his donation. Yes on the application and feet.

Yeah, so hmu when you can learn higher ranked stuff and we can continue.
