( Genjutsu: Oshitsubusu Hebi Kubire ) - Illusion Technique: Crushing Snake Constriction

Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

Type of Genjutsu: Visual, paralysis
How I'd deduce it's a Genjutsu: Snakes have a distinct odor and feel. Being cold blooded, you couldn't really feel their warmth, but you could feel them constricting you. They probably wouldn't feel too scaly or have that smell, being a genjutsu. If I were presented with this illusion, I could naturally react as anyone being constricted by snakes would be; get them off. One good way I did this in an NW fight was to create an Earth Armor; a fully body surge of chakra. Because it's a natural reaction, it really didn't matter if the snakes were illusions or not; but this armor would serve two purposes: to inadvertently dispel the genjutsu due to the full body chakra surge, and form a defense in case my opponent were to follow up with an attack while I was still under the illusion. If I couldn't do that, I could simply try and see if the snakes felt or smelt real.

Description: The user summons up illusionary purple flowers from the ground in front of them, damaging enemies with a chance to paralyze them.
Note: Paralysis lasts one turn.

Type of Genjutsu: Visual, paralysis
How I'd deduce it's a Genjutsu: Big purple flowers that erupt from the ground are kind of far-fetched. It's something only Wood Users could really do, and besides, if the flowers have no real smell or other form of sensory change besides visual, it would be quite simple to figure it out and dispel it accordingly. The paralysis that would be oncoming would also be a dead giveaway.

( Magen: Chō Shinka ) - Demonic Illusion: Butterfly Evolution

Description: The user makes one handseal, placing the opponent in a genjutsu. The user then tosses a large number of explosive tags at the opponent. To the opponent, it looks as if they are countless butterflies. The opponent then believes they are sinking into the ground, in reality making them immobilized; this allows the user to place one final exploding tag on their forehead before detonating all the tags simultaneously.

Using a single seal, you'll trick your opponent into seeing the thrown, explosive-tagged kunai as harmless butterfly swarming over them. At this point, the opponent will see that they are sinking into the ground, unable to move there legs out of the ground. You'd then throw one final tag, or place a tag then run like hell, before causing all the tags to blow up.

Obviously, visual and immobilising genjutsu, with the added bonus of real world damage, not mental damage.

How could you deduce this as a genjutsu and what do you think is the best way to release yourself from this one.

This used to be a short-range genjutsu, I'm glad they upped the range xD

Using a single seal, your target(s) (Yes, multiply targets within range will be affected) will see feathers falling from the sky, making them feel drowsy and slowing there reaction time... In one turn, they will simply fall asleep.

Why would you use this jutsu and why would you not use this jutsu? How would you try and push the opponent to the next turn, so that they actually do fall asleep?

Deducing how it's a Genjutsu: Using butterflies as an attack is highly unlikely. They wouldn't be considered summons (not necessarily large enough), Aburames don't use butterflies in their arsenal, and it's just plain weird. The sinking into the ground sensation would make me feel like the Earth is surrounding my lower body... the feeling, the sound, and the smell of the Earth, even. If even one of these elements is amiss, I can easily conclude it's a Genjutsu. So yeah.

Releasing myself from it: Any full-body surge technique, such as the Earth Armor or Nagashi. It would dispel the technique while countering the explosive kunais.

Why I'd use this Genjutsu: Pretty simple. If I can make my opponent sleep, I'll finish them off with no problem. I would have full control of the battle at that point.

Why I wouldn't use this Genjutsu: The sleeping effect only takes place after one turn. This is enough time for a smart opponent to deduce that they are indeed under a Genjutsu and dispel it, which would amount to me wasting a move and chakra.

Pushing my opponent to the next turn: I'd use techniques to trap my opponent within the area of effect. They'll be focused on relieving the pressure of my techniques, and consequently, they'll fall under the genjutsu without even knowing it :snick:

Description: The user makes one handseal, causing the opponent to believe they have been trapped in a world of infinite darkness, where their sense of sight is useless. It is capable of affecting multiple targets within range. However, it does not negate their other senses.

A simple jutsu using a single hand seal to trap you opponent. It will cause them to see nothing but their own selves in a world of darkness. Able to afflict multiple targets so long as they are in range, removing one of their key senses; sight. Note that sensing and the other four senses are not affected so it is possible to mitigate the immediate threat of a follow up jutsu, before trying to release this jutsu.

All Souji could hear was Shinta's laughter, the purpose of which eluded all but Shinta himself. For unbeknownst to Souji, Shinta had something that made him immune to Genjutsu of such calibre... the Seven Tailed Beast.
