Just hush.

Now we can move onto conditions of casting. Genjutsu casting requires precise chakra control since you need to directly insert your chakra into your opponent(s). That being said, other than hand seals or the specific conditions of the jutsu what is necessary for you to be able to cast genjutsu onto your opponents?

What about a mode of direct sensory link to your opponent? can you direct chakra that must be precise to a target you have no idea of where they are?

Anything short of exact location knowledge is not enough for you to be able to cast genjutsu on your opponent. I'll speed ball through here since we're a little behind schedule. sensory abilities that allow you to sense chakra even when your other senses are blocked always give you an edge. Dojutsu like Byakugan which has near omnidirectional vision and can see through almost anything is another good means when other senses are blocked. If you have heightened senses of smell like the Inuzuka or if you possess Sound Release and have your inner sonar ear active these are all enhancements and special abilities that give people and edge with genjutsu even if their opponent makes it to a point of blocking one or several of your senses in order to prevent genjutsu.

However if you intend to cast genjutsu you need to know exactly where your opponent is in order to get your chakra from point A to point B.

Now then my next question for you is this. In what other ways can a ninja cast genjutsu on their opponent. We already have the usage of hand seals and through eye contact for dojutsu users like Uchiha. But in terms of ordinary shinobi or anything else, what ways or rather what other mediums can a shinobi use with their chakra to induce their opponents within genjutsu. I'll go out here and give the hint of saying it's linked to what I just told you in sensing your opponent.

Don't be pathetic, I hate when people are pathetic, especially in genjutsu.

Casting genjutsu i.e using chakra to induce an illusion over your opponent. In what other ways aside from using hand seals can you use chakra to insert your chakra into your opponent to create an illusion. Knowing where they are is merely the condition necessary to transmit your chakra like I just said in my previous post. You said absolutely nothing about what I asked you you just repeated what I said. I don't want the opportunity I want the HOW

sound/auditory methods are an acceptable way for shinobi though the restrictions are you need to have the Sound Release skill.

To use easier terms, genjutsu is induced through user chakra affecting opponent chakra. Therefore my question was how do you get your chakra to affect your opponent aside from ordinary hand seals or the use of dojutsu kekkei genkai? As an Uchiha and now going for Mangekyou Sharingan permission you'll need to more adept in your knowledge of genjutsu else you'll disgrace the mere attempt. Nevertheless I'll answer this and we'll proceed since I'm sure you'd like to proceed a bit further and have a stronger knowledge of genjutsu for future endeavors.

anyway you can think of getting your chakra into your opponent is a way in which you can induce genjutsu. chakra for genjutsu is taken from point A to B through aided by hand seals and/or precise chakra control. Any other way of inciting an A to B transfering of the chakra to your opponent is a way to activate it. The five senses; visual, auditory, olfactory, tactile, taste. These are all ways in which you can induce genjutsu. Affecting visual stimuli with your chakra, using sound waves to carry your chakra, using strong smells and scents to carry your chakra, physically touching your opponent, and however the hell taste is used. Nevertheless, none of these ways are implemented in our RP canon, this is more so for whenever you decide to submit your own genjutsu. Figuring out how you want to cast genjutsu and trap your opponent is part of the process. As well, being weary of people who have genjutsu with these factors in mind and knowing how to avoid/defend against them since they are not the most traditional kinds of genjutsu.

yeah yeah whatever. Anyway where did we leave off at? too lazy to scroll up. This is my impromtu evaluation to see how much you gained. I know we're on casting so what can you summarize of what I've taught you so far. Note, because I said summarize doesn't mean be skimpy on the detail, at least give me some indication that you understood what I've already told you.

We also went through the concept of genjutsu its self . Being Yin based , Known as Illusionary arts yadda yadda yadda

oh and I forgot to add that we was just Finishing Up S Rank genjutsus :coffee:

I'd say nice try but considering this is only the third page, there's no way we'd even be remotely close to learning half the jutsu. Also there aren't any S-rank gens you can learn.

Now then we're going to go onto genjutsu layering. Layering genjutsu is essentially casting more than one genjutsu on a target at any given time. The goal of multi-cast or layering genjutsu is to stack the effects of genjutsu to create a sensory overload and cause greater mental damage to your opponent. Some techniques are especially good to layer together while others not so much. That is genjutsu layering in a nutshell.

Now tell me why casting a genjutsu that makes you feel like somebody feel like they're in bliss over top of another genjutsu that makes them feel like they're being brutally tortured won't work.

Also, tell me if casting an A-ranked genjutsu after a B-ranked genjutsu will work or not and tell me why.

The layered genjutsu has to be similar , example you cant layer them inside a genjutsu saying they feel like theyre in heaven then the next layer theyre eyes are being ripped out the sockets while being upside down . It has to flow together

the a rank genjutsu while over power the b rank genjutsu so itll go B then A and stay at A

The genjutsu don't have to necessarily be similar, they just need to be compatible. What that means is, they cannot have opposing effects, like the example I gave and the one you did. I could place you in a genjutsu that makes you body turn to mush and then put you in a forest. They aren't similar but since neither effect the other it will be alright (assuming all things rank wise are compatible as well). However the goal of layered genjutsu is to sync together and create a strong combination, just like if you were to do so with ninjutsu.

And you are correct. In order to layer genjutsu you must abide by the rule of higher rank first. In the event some techniques are equal rank, it won't matter which comes first.

When breaking genjutsu and their layers is it possible for you to break more than one genjutsu at a time?

Incorrect, you can break several genjutsu at once so long as you use the appropriate amount of chakra and energy. You only need to break the strongest genjutsu of the layer and all others underneath it will be released as well. For example, if you're trapped in Three illusions, an S-rank, and two A-ranks, if you use S-rank Kai or use any equivalent breaking method for S-rank all three jutsu will be released. If you have two illusions of the same rank, like two S-ranks or two B-ranks, you need to treat it as though you're breaking one genjutsu of that rank and it'll break both illusions.

That's what they all say until it comes up in a fight or something then you'll go and ask me or somebody else if you can or not. Anyway have we gone through all the pre-steps at this point; breaking, casting, and layering?
