Here is the tech that I know will work then !

Raiton: Chidori Nagashi) - Lightning Release: One Thousand Birds Current
Rank: A
Type: Offense/Defence
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: 60
Description: This jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electrically charged chakra from their body. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead it only paralyzes. The lightning can be channelled through metal objects, as well as spread out into the air or ground.

It does everything you ask, Releases chakra through out the body and expels it as a burst !

Now reading what you wrote I think I know now ... But again I'm probably wrong haha.
You said I must have a keen eye sight and notice if the genjutsu breaks realities rule. Well when a someone is falling from the air, Usually the skin or clothes of the person begins to shake and go all over the place because of the air impact. If its real then it will happen but if its a genjutsu there facial structure and clothes will look as if there not even moving. I hope I explain it good enough  !
Ah that is a nice observation. Can't say will happen everytime, but with such a weak ranked technique, that might just be good. Especially if there's a stronger wind than normal, the genjutsu will not adapt to it, and the clone will feel "unrealistic".

That's the only one Tech I could think, Chidori Nagashi. And I have a summon which I can use for breaking Genjutsu of B-Rank or lower because the Summon will stand on my shoulder. After I notice a Genjutsu, the summon will use its Chakra and does a Surge into my Chakra breaking out of the Genjutsu.

Notice every detail around, even the Opponent. If the terrain or the sky suddenly changes, it means i am under a Genjutsu. If the opponent disappears, he must have used S/T Jutsu or Genjutsu. Well the difficult part is the Genjutsu which immobilizes us. The ways to see through is Sharingan or some other way which i don't know.
Well, those do not apply to the situation.

Okay, another simple methods. The clone will not bend grass, or foliage. So you can spot him from there. The clone will phase through anything you throw at him, etc etc. Those are all methods of recognizing the technique.

As for techniques that do work, if you're unsure, it's best if you ask first. You can vm me asking me if a specific technique would work or not (Preferably before your use it in a battle xD).

Let's move on then.

Okay then, second, the Kai technique. The following restrictions are set to this technique:

"Kai, otherwise known as the Genjutsu release can be used freely, once per turn as long as the user has the rank and the requirements to release the technique. Kai cannot be used on MS and EMS Genjutsu."
As taken from:

Now, please find the actual technique and paste it here. Then analyze it, please.

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

Well kai is known as the most easiest method, The user must perform one hand seal, Then stop the flow of his own chakra, immediately after that he will then spike it to purge the opponents foreign chakra. Thus releasing the genjutsu.
The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to release them from Genjutsu.

It can release genjutsu C-S Rank but depending on the users ninja class.
Jounin: up to C-Rank
S-Class: up to B-Rank
Sannin: up to A-Rank
Sage: up to S-Rank

Now the bad parts, It can't release MS and EMS sharingan genjutsu. Also it won't work with jutsus that paralyzes you mainly because you won't be able to perform the hand seal required. But if you can react fast enough and realize its a genjutsu in time you can probably have the strength to perform the hand seal. Also for some reason it doesn't work with Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant.

Kai can be one of the Easiest Methods other than the Pain Method. The User who is under a Genjutsu performs a Single Hand Seal and stops his Chakra temporarily. And uses even more stronger force on the Opponent's Chakra present in the person under the Genjutsu to push the Foreign Chakra out of his body thus Releasing from Genjutsu. However to use Kai, there are certain restrictions. A Jounin Ninja can only use Kai to remove C-Rank Genjutsu and so on. It depends on the User's Rank.

Jounin
C-Rank

S-Class
B-Rank

Sannin
A-Rank

Sage
S-Rank

As every Technique has a Weakness, Kai too has a Weakness. To use Kai, the Person under Genjutsu requires to use a Hand Seal but he cannot use it if he is Under Sharingan Genjutsu or Other Genjutsu if it paralyzes the User.

Very much correct. I'd like to add, though, that you need to always stated what rank and amount of chakra you output with this technique. This technique counters others in a direct ratio. If you're caught in an A rank genjutsu, you need to spend an A rank Kai.

The second method of releasing a Genjutsu is Pain. I'd ask you what you think about it, but I've been away for so long that I'm just gonna skip to my own explanation. xD

When you're inside a genjutsu, you're inside a realm of illusion, and, especially when the genjutsu alters the majority of your senses, it gets harder to distinguish what's real and what's not. Although some genjutsus give the illusion of pain, actual physical pain is almost like an infusion of reality that snaps you out of the realm of illusion. It translates in a spike and even a loss of concentration, but it is mainly that abrupt sense of reality that pushes the genjutsu away. Of course, this is also why different levels of pain will only break different levels of genjutsu. The lowest would be clicking your finger (which is a pain you're used to) That would be able to counter, say, D ranks. Stepping um the game, weak physical attacks, bitting your cheek, would break C, freestyle and low ranked taijutsu, would break say B rank, strong taijutsu stabbing yourself, breaking smaller bones, low level burning/voltage would break A rank. EIG/Sage level taijutsu, breaking bones, deep stabs, high voltage/burning would break any other genjutsu. These are not set in stone, just some sort of reference table for you to follow.

Usually, the most used method is stabbing your thigh with a kunai. Should break anything up to A rank, deepen the cut, should break S ranks. You can do it yourself, or use a jutsu for the same effect (Normally I'd suggest that, since it could be handseal-less, and you might even use it to attack your opponent).

Along with pain, you can have a few other elements that would bring you to reality. A bucket filled with cold water would break up to A rank, or even S ranks if it comes with great contusion force. And even if if something is considered low ranked taijutsu, enough repetition could achieve greater ranks. A slap is around B rank ( a woman slap is A rank) in genjutsu breaking force, but if you repeatedly slap someone, it can break any genjutsu.

I think that's pretty much all there is to know about Pain releases. One thing though, many of these methods, even if insufficient to break a genjutsu, will be translated as physical reactions under the illusion, which can be used as signs you're in a genjutsu (For example, if a fire jutsu is incoming, you might be able to sense the heat increasing but see no fireball, so you add two plus two and come to the conclusion you're in a genjutsu. Likewise, say someone slaps you. It is not enough to break you out, but, you feel the slap without explanation and it might be just enough for you to realize and use kai. (Because sometimes it's not about you being unable to use Kai, but just being unable to realize you're in a genjutsu).

In sum, take from the rules themselves:

D Rank Genjutsu: Chipping a Finger (like one does as he bites to draw blood for a Summoning Jutsu)
C Rank Genjutsu: Low level Physical Attacks, Bitting a chunk of your Cheek
B Rank Genjutsu: Low ranked Taijutsu/Freestyle
A Rank Genjutsu: High ranked Taijutsu, Stabbing Yourself in minor muscle, Cutting yourself, Breaking Smaller bones, Low level Burning/Voltage, Painful Cold
S Rank Genjutsu: EIG/Sage level Taijutsu, Breaking Bones, Deep Stabs or cuts, Medium Voltage/Burning, Extreme Painful Cold, Bitting your tongue off

But these are only guidelines. A well placed kick might break more than the normal taijutsu freestyle, augmenting the damaging, like cutting deep into the inside of your cheek, or even your tongue, can break more than C, et etc.

After reading most of this I understood quite a lot mainly because NK has helped us with release genjutsu XD
So for the most part I understood it all. I like that I don't necessarily need to use pain for example a bucket of cold water can help XD
But it gives me a question lets say for example a opponent puts me in a D-rank genjutsu would simple rain drops be powerful enough to snap me out of it. Yes a dumb question but I had a thought.

No, rain won't do. Though rain is an overload of sensory stimulation, especially if it starts after the genjutsu is cast, making it easier for you to distinguish between reality and illusion. Though if they say it's freezing rain or something very cold, and it appears after the genjutsu was cast, the initial thermal shock will release from the genjutsu no problem.

Sorry about the long wait, btw. Let's move on to a more intricate definition of genjutsu, and how to cast one

Okay, so, a genjutsu is, in essence, the procedure of getting your chakra into your opponent's brain, through a Medium, and use that chakra to alter the flow of you opponent's chakra system, and produce an illusion. So, what happens is, whenever you get you chakra into your opponent's brain, you will create an influx, constant or not, of foreign chakra, which will, in my opinion and understanding, create a pressure on the brain, targeting specific areas which will produce the illusion you want. Which is why you need a good understanding of the brain (The better understanding the better the illusion, especially when exploring or creating genjutsu).

The most basic understanding is: You are able to perceive reality due to a great number of sensory organs spread out across your body (Nose, Mouth, Eyes, Skin, etc etc). These will catch stimuli from the world and turn them into "electrical" messages, transported by the Peripheral Nervous System into the Central Nervous System (Which includes the brain), where the messages are received and translated into information, which is then re-sent towards the rest of the body as a message to incite an action (or reaction). Gaining control of the brain means you can alter this pathway of information in multiple ways. You can either distort messages sent by the sensory organs (For example, removing sight, smell, certain visual structures, etc), you can add new messages (Create visions, add imaginary smells or sounds, etc etc) or you can even, in a more advanced casting, change up the information in order to incite a certain response from the target's organism (Like, for example, make him see threating images, which will increase the adrenalin production, create soothing images to calm your opponent, etc etc). You can't tell your opponent how to react to the illusion you create, you can tell them that they fall down because you made them see a spider, or tell them they're in paralyzing fear because you created a monster. Likewise, even by changing the adrenalin levels, you can't really control how much they change, everyone reacts differently, and, ultimately, it's up to the target to reveal what his character would feel in such a situation.
But you can guide them into whatever you would like to make them feel, or give out logical explanation of why they'd feel what you say. In fact, description is a very important thing, you can either use it to confuse the opponent, or direct their interpretation of the genjutsu into whatever is more profitable to you. And this is purely the psychological part of the genjutsu, which you can even do as you roleplay around, without needing to cast techniques (Something I like to call Freestyle Genjutsu).

Okay, back on topic, all these illusions/effects are produced by the addition of your foreign chakra into your opponent's chakra system, which pressures the brain in specific areas. You are basically substituting the target's sensory organs, and overruling them. This, though, adds unbalance into the system, making your opponent's chakra irregular, which, especially after a strong genjutsu or a lengthy genjutsu, makes it quite noticeable. Most obviously would be with chakra sensors, but you can even have symptoms such headaches or even internal bleeding (But that would require a very powerful and invasive genjutsu). A common misconception is that a chakra sensor is able to see the chakra travel from your body to the opponent, something that is incorrect in most of the cases. Ultimately, it is up to the Medium you use to cast the genjutsu, as in, what you use to get your chakra into your opponent's brain.

You mention medium to cast the gen. My question is well what different types of mediums can one use to caste a genjutsu?

Also you mention that you will not really know how the opponent reacts if caught under a genjutsu, so what if me as a character does not get phased at all by scary genjutsus just how my bio character is what will happen exactly? Does the user still get immobilized?

Well, normally, the medium is the Handseal, allowing you to focus your chakra on your opponent's brain directly. Another common medium is Visual/Eye Contact, where you cast the genjutsu by simply having your chakra being interpreted by the eye sensory system, and thus reaching the brain. Sound genjutsu works the same, now the air is the medium, as it vibrates, your chakra carried in the soundwave and interpreted by the ear sensory system, reaching the brain.

From there, I developed a couple more. My first contract had an animal that was able to cast genjutsu through odor, and I developed it further to create the Perfume CE. My custom clan, still a submission, is based on using Taste as a medium to cast a genjutsu. Cannon wise, the 2nd Mizukage has a summon that is able to catch people on a genjutsu by having them enter contact with a mist, I have a similar technique for my second contract. Scorps created the Lazy Fist, which allows you to cast genjutsu by physically/directly disturbing the opponent's chakra system, through touch.

If your character does not feel fear, unless he finds himself bound and trapped, he won't be immobilized. Unless, of course, you're dealing with Sharingan-based jutsu (Rather, MS-ranked genjutsu), where they are able to infuse you with false memories and even false sensations, and could put the fear in your fearless character. There are also physiological support techniques that manipulate your body to feel fear, even if your psyche was trained not to.

But a good genjutsu user can always manipulate your character to make you fearful, one way or another. That is called Breaking your character.

Cool. I'll stop bothering you then, and move on to actual techniques, should be nice, eh?

Okay then, I decided to clump together all the cannon genjutsu (With the exception of Doujutsu Genjutsu (Sharingan-related)), into 4 categories. This is because I believe many techniques share a common purpose, and are nothing but variations to that purpose, diversifying in a whole bunch of different illusions.

Method 1: Conceal
Method 2: Decoy
Method 3: Maim
Method 4: Others (Temple of Nirvana/Character Specific)

Okay, so, first method. Conceal. This category joins the illusions that pertain to alter how the target perceives an object, the user of even the world around him/her, in order to hide traps, or allow the free-roaming of the target, or even confuse the target. This tactics are useful mainly because, if used right, they're the least noticeable genjutsu.

Okay now, let's analyze the first one:

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

First of all, forget the note on the chakra cost. Double usage as now been made into it's own technique.
Okay so, first of all, method of casting. It's handsealess, requires no visual contact with the user, but it does requires the user to have visual contact with the opponent. Rather than that, this jutsu makes it seem as if you can simply target an area, and any person who walks upon the are will feel the effects of the Genjutsu, which is an interesting casting method (And I think I'll expand on it, through customs).

Okay so, what the genjutsu does is conceal the terrain by changing how it looks. As long as the illusion pertains to change the environment, it is free-for-all. You can change a forest into a desert, or you can change a desert into an island. You can change a mountain into a lava-pit, and you can even change the terrain into a copy of itself, but static, or slightly dynamic, like a video in front of the user. I use it like that, and allows me to have a barrier between me and the target, say, 3 meters radius, where everything that happens behind the barrier, my side, is invisible to to the opponent.

Now, what you can't do is create animals to attack the target, like change the terrain to a pine forest with a bear that jumps to maul the opponent. A moving animal is too complex for the technique. You can create a lava pool, but you can't create heat. You can create wind blowing through the leaves, but you can't create sound. This is a purely visual technique. If your opponent touches the objects you created, he/she will phase through them. Likewise, if wind starts blowing in the terrain, the new position of the leaves might mess with the illusion (making leaves appear out of no where). Likewise, if your opponent moves, he might phase through grass you create, or might nor produce footsteps.

This because this is a very simple and low ranked visual genjutsu. As the techniques go up in rank, they start to become more complex, and are allowed to accommodate changes on the terrain, making more dynamic illusions, as well as incorporate other senses besides vision, making a richer illusion overall.

Finally, if it wasn't already clear, it can be released every way possible. My suggestion, find the user by sound/slip-ups, and attack him/her, before bitting your thumb or the inside of your cheek (No need to put too much strength)

-If I was to change the terrain, will I the caster of the genjutsu also see the terrain change or will it only be seen/effect the user I'm casting it upon?

-Also just how long can this jutsu go in distance? It says short-mid but if it is supposed to effect the whole terrain I would think it can go into long?

-Can I effect more then one person?

-Can this also effect summons?

1. You don't necessarily see the changes, but you created them, so you know them to the last detail, allowing you to react to them as if you were actually seeing them, or simply ignoring them, seeing the actual terrain.

2. The ilusion can change anything up to where your opponent or you can see, but only people mid-range from where you casted the genjutsu will experience it, that's what the range means (It's always about how far you need to be from a person in order to cast that genjutsu in them).

3. Yes, anyone within the area (up to mid range from you). It works when you cast it, so, if new people enter the area afterwards, they don't get caught.

4. Yes. Genjutsu can affect all sentient beings ( People, Summons, Clones ), but each illusion has different effects depending on your target. Some Summons may not mind drowning, while people do. Clones experience genjutsu, but not mental pain.
