Kiritsugu makes his way to the training field, where he finds Konan, of the Paper Ninjutsu. He was going to train her in the arts of Illusions, something he was quite well versed in. He had a small black suitcase with him, which contained a bunch of scrolls that pertained to the training at hand.

"Hello there, I am Kiritsugu Ganmi, and I will be teaching you Genjutsu. Now, straight to the training, what do you know about Genjutsu? Anything about it, what it is, how you can break it? How it is detected, etc?"

Kiritsugu asked, now waiting for his student.

Aww. No Dean? Okay.
Genjutsu, or Ilusionary arts, is essentially mind****. It is casted on an opponent by disrupting their chakra flow, which can do many things. It can change what they see around them, paralyze them, and in some cases completely drain them of all energy. However, except in very specific conditions, all genjutsu takes place in the opponents mind, and distorts their view of reality. Genjutsu can be detected by sudden changes in scenery or chakra flow. Breaking out of genjutsu is very different though. Breaking out of a genjutsu can be done in three major ways; contact from the outside through touch, using Kai, or inflicting pain on yourself. The first isn't too useful in our RP and can only really be done in tag team battles. The second is popular, however is dependant on the users rank, higher rank meaning you have the ability to dispel higher rank genjutsu. The final way is the most effective. By inflicting physical pain on yourself, you can break yourself out of a genjutsu. However, the amount of pain is dependent on the rank of the genjutsu. Whereas to break out of a D rank genjutsu requires chipping a finger like in a summoning, an A rank genjutsu might require the breaking of a minor bone or stabbing yourself with a Kunai.
I've seen the chart you use XD

Kiritsugu listened to his student. He knew quite a bit, but he was missing the specifics.

"Pretty good, and no, Dean's busy with..others. Nonetheless, you missed quite a few things. Yes, Genjutsu is induced by disrupting the opponent's balanced chakra flow. This flow is usually in a perfect balance of spiritual and physical energy, right? So when a Genjutsu is induced, this balance is scrambled, disrupted, and causes the user of the Genjutsu to create an illusionary effect that affects the senses, taste, smell, touch, sight and hearing.

Two ways to detect Genjutsu, either via common sense, like figuring out something is going on that's weird, and using your critical reasoning and then breaking it (getting to this), or, to look at your chakra flow through the use of a Doujutsu or being a Sensor. Though you must have a reason why you are looking in the first place, so common sense is always needed.

Releasing a Genjutsu comes after detecting it. Three ways, one, pain. A sufficient amount of pain is needed to break a Genjutsu of a specific rank. This would reset the chakra flow, and bring it back to being normal again, thus, breaking the Genjutsu.

D Rank Genjutsu: Chipping a Finger (like one does as he bites to draw blood for a Summoning Jutsu)
C Rank Genjutsu: Low level Physical Attacks, Bitting a chunk of your Cheek
B Rank Genjutsu: Low ranked Taijutsu/Freestyle
A Rank Genjutsu: High ranked Taijutsu, Stabbing Yourself in minor muscle, Cutting yourself, Breaking Smaller bones, Low level Burning/Voltage, Painful Cold
S Rank Genjutsu: EIG/Sage level Taijutsu, Breaking Bones, Deep Stabs or cuts, Medium Voltage/Burning, Extreme Painful Cold, Bitting your tongue off
Very simple. Second method, through sheer will and a surge of chakra. This is always achieved through the technique, Kai, which breaks a Genjutsu based on rank by "spiking" ones chakra and releasing it all through many, or all, of your tenketsu. This can be done with elemental techniques as well, ones that release a large amount of chakra from your Tenketsu, all at once, like Chidori Nagashi and Earth Hardening Technique, for example. They can break Genjutsu one rank below theirs, and lower. So, Nagashi is A rank, and can break B rank and below Genjutsu, while Hardening is S rank, and can break A rank and below.

Last way to break it, is by introducing foreign chakra into your body after being affected by a Genjutsu. So your point wasn't wrong, by saying a partner, which means his chakra is different to yours, and thus, foreign. Except for a partner, entering Sage Mode, activating a Curse Mark, or having a Bijuu, are all ways of breaking Genjutsu. Simple indeed.

Last but not least, Layering Genjutsu is to cast more than one, non-conflicting Genjutsu on the opponent. This mixes, and deepens the illusion and makes it a bit harder to break, depending on what you used, and remember, only two Genjutsu can be layered. Layering still follows the same time frame rules, and in order for it to work, the higher ranking Genjutsu must be cast first, then the weaker one. If the weaker one is cast first, the higher ranking one would flush it out. To release it, the usual method is used, and its rank is determined by the higher ranking Genjutsu. That's the rank of the layered Genjutsu, the rank of the higher ranking one."

Kiritsugu then lights a cigarette, and looks at Konan.

"Any questions?"

"Good, now my method of teaching is simple. I will explain the technique to you, then I want you to perform the technique against my clone, give me at least 2 advantages and disadvantages of the technique, and also, how you would use it in battle. State these clearly, so it makes it easy. Anyway, let us begin with the first technique.

By using your chakra, you will induce an illusion on the opponent, and cause them to see the terrain change, based on your preference. The terrain only though. This means you can change the terrain from a desert, to a forest for example, or more simpler ones, like create a wall before the opponent, or a tree. Whatever is created is illusionary, and is only for fooling the opponent. The technique has a bunch of smart uses, if you are creative, but don't go beyond the limit of the technique, only the terrain can be changed, and nothing to drastic either. The more subtle the change, the more effective it would be in battle. Use it against my clone, and explain it in detail as you do so, plus add the other things I said I require from you per performance of a technique."

By using her chakra to induce genjutsu upon the opponent, Konan causes the clone to see a giant chasm directly in front of where it is, causing it to stop. Konan then throws a shuriken at the halted clone, causing it to be destroyed.
Pros:
-Fast cast
-Can halt the opponent through the idea of large drops or lava pits.
Cons:
-Only affects surroundings of the opponent, nothing else
-If used while the opponeng has a clear view of the area you are changing, it will be noticed instantly.

I would probably use this to trick a jumping opponent into thinking they will land on a flat ground, while I actually create a bunch of earth spikes that impale them as they land on the ground.

Next time post the part you missed, not edit it in an old post ^^

"Not bad, here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

"Now for the next one. First off, you will induce the Genjutsu by forming five hand seals. This causes the opponent to see you dissolve into a large amount of cherry blossoms. These swirl towards them, and surrounds the opponent, obscuring their vision, and allowing you to attack in reality. A nice Genjutsu, and gives a good opening for an attack. Use it against my clone."

Konan, being rushed by a clone, quickly makes 5 handseals. She then forces her chakra onto the clones, causing its chakra flow to become irregular. This causes the clone to see Konan vanish into a swirl of cherry blossoms. These cherry blossoms then surround the clone in a spiral, mesmerizing it. Konan then takes this opportunity to kick the clone in the groin, causing it to disperse.
Pros:
-Stops target from moving in the actual world as they are trapped by the cherry blossoms in their mind
-Is useful as a simple distraction
Cons:
-Needs 5 handseals to cast
-Easily detected as on an average day, one does not become high on cherry blossom tornadoes.

Uses in battle:
This technique may not be as effective in battle as the demonic surroundings technique due to its lack of conspicuousness, but it is useful as a simple distraction to get away from your opponent.

"It doesn't restrict the opponent unless stated, they can still move normally. Anyway, here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.

"Now, for this one, form a single hand seal and induce an illusion on the opponent. You will then throw a single paper bomb towards the opponent, which he will see as a clone, running towards him. Once the bomb reaches the opponent in reality, it explodes. Its a nice technique to use with another real clone, or through a smoke technique, or mist. Use it against my clone (remember to add everything this time)."

Konan throws a paper bomb towards the oncoming clone. She then makes a handseal, which casts a genjutsu over it causing it to see the paper bomb as a clone. The clone then runs towards the other clone and it explodes, along with the paper bomb hitting and exploding on contact with the clone.
Pros:
-Can cause opponent to attack the "clone" which would make it explode.
-Makes tagged Kunai less easy to dodge
Cons:
-Easy to notice
-Can be easily avoided and broken without even harming self; simply make the clone hit something else.

I suppose you could use it if you're opponent didn't see the Kunai coming, causing them to deal with the threat in innefectively.

"It can also be combined with other techniques, to make it more efficient. Anyway, here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user does one handseal and throws a paper bomb at the enemy. The enemy, trapped in a genjutsu will see a clone of the user advancing upon him. As the paper bomb reaches the enemy, it explodes

"Now, for the next Genjutsu. Without the need for hand seals, you will induce an illusion on the opponent. This causes them to see illusionary clones of you, emerge from the trees, ground, etc (depending on the terrain of course). This is a great technique to combine with real clones, and even make it difficult for the opponent to discern whether these are real clones or not. If the clone is hit, it multiplies and its incapable of causing physical damage. Use it against my clone."

Konan induces a genjutsu over her opponent. In the illusion the clone sees a clone rise from the ground, which then runs towards the clone. Konan then throws a Kunai from directly behind where he would see the clone, making it so that the Kunai passes through the clone in the clones mind, causing it to multiply. This also causes the enemy clone to be hit by the Kunai.
Pros:
-No handseals
-Can mix with real clones
Cons:
-Easy to discover; most clones do not rise from the ground.
-Cannot inflict pain

I could see this used if the opponent was temporarily blinded and mixed it with other clones.

"Good job, here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

"Now, for the last D rank. Form two hand seals, and induce an illusion on the opponent. This would cause them to see a swirl of leaves that surrounds the opponent, and obscures their vision. This swirl of leaves would then fall away, and an image of what the opponent fears most, would be seen. This is capable of causing the opponent to feint. A nice technique, though easily gives away that's a Genjutsu. Use it against my clone."

Konan makes 2 handseals, forcing her chakra over her opponents, disturbing its flow. She then casts an illusion over the target, making them see a swirl of leaves, and then a jumpscare of bobo the clown, causing the clone to faint.
Pros:
-Has useful physical effects
-Can disorient and confuse the opponent.
Cons:
-Easily noticed
-I honestly don't have anything for this one.

You could really just use this at any time, hoping it works fast enough to not be dispelled before the image of the fear appears.

"Good job, and it requires the use of two hand seals, can be a con. Its also just short range. Here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

"Now, remember we spoke about the Kai technique? Well, I want you to give it a read and analyze it for me. Tell when you could use it, when not. Why its useful, etc. Anything you feel to add about it, also touch upon what you rank of Genjutus you can dispel, and why, and what would hinder you from doing so."

Kiritsugu throws a scroll towards Konan.

Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

I believe the seal that you preform is the Seal of Confrontation but that might be inaccurate. I can dispel up to C-Rank genjutsu, not too useful because most people I fight are S-Class +, and they just love to use Bringer of Darkness on me. It can be used on other people, though tag team battles are rare in our rp. It can't be used on MS gen, or Paralysis Gen, which makes sense cause you wouldn't be able to make the handseal in the first place. In general the technique is useful, though because of rank restrictions for us lower ranks, we prefer to use pain to break gen. Basically, it is essentially useless until you hit S-Class or Sannin. (POSTCOUNTING TAKES AGES.............................................................)

"Great job, and yeah, you can't break Paralysis type Genjutsu because Kai requires a hand seal, which can't be formed if you are paralyzed. Anyway, let us move on.

The next technique is a more simple one, and actually more suited for the NW, than actual battles. Without the need for hand seals, you will cast an illusion on the opponent. This will cause them to believe that they are moving in a straight line, but they are actually, moving in circles. A nice way to get an opponent off track in the NW, and also to confuse them in battle. Pretty useful, but easy to figure out, if you are perceptive. Use it against my clone."
