[Gen] Genjutsu with Detective L

[Cyber]

Chriss forces his chakra into the clones mind just as it enters close range, making the opponent stop a few feet away from him. After the clone looks at the fireball decending from the sky, he focuses his lightning chakra in his right palm then slams it on the ground. After the lightning shocks the clone, it poofs away.

Advantages
• Can be used to attack the opponent from below as you said
• Can be combined with a real fire ball to confuse the opponent
• Can be used well to distract the opponent while I escape
• Requires no hand seals

Disadvantages
• Low rank genjutsu that can be broken easily
• If the opponent knows it's a genjutsu, he can simply keep looking at me
• Small time frame for me to attack

Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

"Now, for the last C rank technique, you will induce a Genjutsu on the opponent without the need for hand seals. The opponent will see a clone dash towards them. The clone will then jump up, and explode into cherry blossoms, which blocks the opponent's vision. A nice technique, best used within a mist or smoke, so the opponent thinks its a normal clone. It gives a nice opening, and allows you to attack. Anyway, use it against my clone."

Chriss notices the clone running toward him and quickly throws a smoke bomb down to block it's vision. Then he forces his chakra into the clones mind, making see a clone of Chriss run toward it and jump in the air, then explode into a multitude of cherry blossoms. While the clone is focused on that, Chriss throws 3 shuriken at the clone, one aimed for it's head, one for it's chest and one for it's neck.

Advantages
• Good cover move
• No head seals
• Is used pretty quicky, giving very little time to react

Disadvantages
• I could be using the genjutsu on a clone as I can't see past my smoke/mist
• It is a C rank genjutsu so it's broken easily
• This leaves me open if it was used on a clone, as I can't see where my opponent would really be

"Remember that the cherry blossoms are merely in the illusion, so your vision of the opponent is clear. Anyway, here you go."

Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

"Okay, now the next technique is a layered Genjutsu, like we spoke of before, and is just advanced version of the first Genjutsu I taught you. I want you to analyze the technique, so I can see if you still understand the concept of layering Genjutsu. In this analysis, I want you to tell me the strengths and weaknesses of the technique, how you would preferably use it in battle etc. Anything else can be added that you feel is relevant."

Description:
The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals, putting his opponents under a double layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.

"Well seems simple enough. Strengths are that you'd have to use Kai twice to break it and that means it would take 2 turns for the opponent to break the genjutsu. Another strength is that I could make the second genjutsu appear just as the current battle field which would make the opponent think he was out of it.

A weakness would be that a strong enough pain can break both genjutsu, same goes for a strong external chakra source that disturbs the genjutsu. "

"I would use this jutsu as I just stated. By making the second illusion the same as my current battle field to confuse the opponent."

Advantages
• Can take 2 turns to break if the opponent is even able to break the genjutsu
• It is 2 genjutsu in one
• Gives ample time to beat my opponent

Disadvantages
• Requires 3 hand seals
• Can be easily broken by an external chakra or by extensive pain

"Good, though it can also be broken by Kai, if you're the right rank. Remember what I said about Layered Genjutsu, if you break the higher ranking one, both are broken simultaneously.

Now, the next Genjutsu, requires a basic sword. It can in short range too. Anyway, using your sword, you will wave back and forth, inducing the Genjutsu on the opponent. The opponent will see multiple waving arms, confusing the opponent, allowing you to strike. Since its initiated with a sword, its best to use if you actually want to strike the opponent with said sword. Use it against my clone."

Chriss nearly jumps for joy over being able to finally use his sword

"Chriss draws his sword and slices it around in the air, trapping the opponent in a genjutsu. Once the genjutsu is put on the opponent, he sees multiple arms flailing around at great speed, comfusing him greatly. Meanwhile Chriss jumps forwards and stabs the clone through the heart, making it poof away."

Advantages
• Requires no hand seals
• Allows me to use my sword
• Can be used in combination with a custom weapon that I will make at S-Class rank.

Disadvantages
• With the Sharingan, opponents can see through the genjutsu, as it's an ability of the sharingan
• Might make yourself dizzy watching the sword flail around *chuckles*

Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

"Alright, now the next technique requires you to form the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals, in order to induce the illusion. The opponent will then see you disappear, as several bean vines grow out of the ground and constrict the opponent, lifting them into the air. A bean pod then rises from the ground in front of the opponent, and opens, revealing you. However, this all happens in the illusion, so the opponent would be constricted allowing you to attack in reality. A pretty cool Genjutsu overall. Use it against my clone."

Chriss forms 4 hand seals in this order Dog -> Hare -> Snake -> Ram then forces the genjutsu on the clone. Vines contrict and lift the opponent into the air in the illusion with me coming out of a bean pod that comes out of the ground in front of them. In reality I also imbue a kunai with my chakra, then throw it at the clones heart. Making it disappear on contact.

Advantages
• Paralyzes the opponent long enough for me to attack
• Decent level genjutsu
• Gives me a good advantage in battle

Disadvantage
• Requires 4 hand seals in order (Dog -> Hare -> Snake -> Ram)
• Slow to use
• Not practical unless you have a decent range from your opponent as you have to make 4 hand seals

Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an illusion where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground around and beneath him. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

"Now, a Genjutsu initiated without the need for hand seals. You will then make the opponent see themselves trapped in a large flower bud. This flower bud would then explode, and actually, due to the realism of the Genjutsu (if it goes through completely) cause mental stress on the opponent. They would sustain B rank level damage, if the Genjutsu is successful. Use it against my clone."

Chriss moulds his chakra and forces it into the opponents mind. After the genjutsu is initiated, the clone sees that it is trapped in a flower bud, struggling for freedom. The more the clone struggles, the more tired it becomes and then suddenly the flower bud explodes causing a huge explosion that completely obliterated the clone.

• No hand seals
• Quickly usable
• Can cause B rank damage if done successfully

Disadvantages
• Won't cause damage if done improperly
• Can be broken by higher level opponents

Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

"Next, we got another plant related Genjutsu, where you will form five hand seals, and induce the illusion. The opponent will see you dissolve into a mist in the Genjutsu, whilst you move closer to them in reality. A tree would then bind the opponent, and hold them in place as you suddenly emerge from the tree and strike (in the Genjutsu). In reality though, the opponent is completely immobilized and allows you to strike. A nice technique, but 5 hand seals are a bit much. Use it against my clone."

Being a little surprised of the amount of hand seals, Chriss is slightly shocked but then quickly goes on the offensive

Chriss forms 5 hand seals and puts the clone under genjutsu. In the genjutsu the clone sees Chriss disappear in a mist and then finds himself immobilzed by a tree with Chriss' body slowly coming out of the tree grinning menacingly. In reality Chriss simply walks up to the clone and cuts it in half with his sword, making it poof away.

Advantages
• Medium ranked genjutsu that can be hard to break
• Gives ample time to attack

Disadvantages
• Requires 5 hand seals which is quite a lot
• During the 5 hand seals, an opponent could reach me and kill me before the seals are completed

Description: The user makes five handseals, and appears to dissolve into a mist. Once they stealthily approach the target and get within short-range, the opponent feels completely immobilized, and believes they have been bound by a fast-growing tree and are unable to move. The user then appears as if they emerge from the tree to attack the target. In reality, the target is immobilized, allowing the user to strike or interrogate them.

"Next, we got another illusion where you will induce a Genjutsu on the opponent without hand seals. This will cause the opponent to see snakes appear beneath them and then wrap around them. Through your command, these snakes will crush the opponent and cause mental damage like that Flower Bud Technique did. Its very useful if you have Snake summonings, so you can combine it with real snakes, to make it more realistic. Use it against my clone."

Chriss forces his chakra into the clones mind and makes them see multiple snaked come out of the ground, then wrap around their arms and legs, crushing them and causing B rank damage, which makes the clone dissipate.

• Requires no hand seals
• Can be used quickly
• Can cause damage

Disadvantages
• They might hurt my snaky friends
• Won't cause damage if done incorrectly or if broken before it can cause damage

Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

"Now the last B rank Genjutsu, and a simple one at that. Without hand seals, you will induce a Genjutsu on the opponent. This will cause them to see illusionary purple flowers that are summoned before them. These flowers have a chance of paralyzing the opponent, and if it does, the paralysis lasts a single turn. Very simple technique, use it against my clone."

Chriss nods and stops slacking

Chriss forces his chakra in the opponents mind and makes them see purple flowers that paralyze him. While his is paralyzed, Chriss walks up to him and punches him directly in the stomach which makes the clone poof away.

Advantages
• No hand seals
• Can paralyze the opponent
• Paralysis can give me an openning for attack

Disadvantages
• Even with the paralysis the opponent can use a jutsu that doesn't require hand seals or movement to do, such as earth pillar
• Still only a B rank sadly
• The paralysis only lasts one turn

Description: The user summons up illusionary purple flowers from the ground in front of them, damaging enemies with a chance to paralyze them.
Note: Paralysis lasts one turn.

"Now, for the first A rank Genjutsu, you will form a single hand seal and place your opponent in a Genjutsu. In reality, you will toss a large amount of explosive tags towards the opponent, who will see these explosive tags as butterflies, in the Genjutsu. The opponent would also believe that they are sinking into the ground in the illusion, thus constricting them in reality. This gives you a chance to place a final exploding tag on the opponent's forehead while they are constricted and then make your way from the opponent, as it causes a chain reaction explosion with all those other explosive notes on the opponent. A nice technique, but puts one in a very vulnerable position. Use it against my clone."

Chriss does a single hand seal and puts the clone in a genjutsu. In the genjutsu the opponent would see several butterflies coming toward him and landing on him (seems weird for Dean), while in reality it's several explosive tags being thrown at him and sticking to him. While the butterflies land on him, he feels himself sinking into the ground. During the confusion, Chriss takes the chance to run up to the clone and place a final explosive tag on it's forehead then running back to mid range. Finally by making one last handseal, the clone is covered in multiple explosions that destroy the clone and some of the surroundings.

Advantages
• Only requires one hand seal
• Hard to break as it is an A rank jutsu

Disadvantages
• I have to get close to the opponent to place the final explosive tag, which can be dangerous
• Even though it's only 1 hand seal, it still can give away that i'm using a genjutsu

Description: The user makes one handseal, placing the opponent in a genjutsu. The user then tosses a large number of explosive tags at the opponent. To the opponent, it looks as if they are countless butterflies. The opponent then believes they are sinking into the ground, in reality making them immobilized; this allows the user to place one final exploding tag on their forehead before detonating all the tags simultaneously.

"Now, the next technique starts off by forming a single hand seal and induce an illusion on the opponent. In the illusion, the opponent would see pearly white feathers fall from the sky. The opponent would then start to feel a bit drowsy, and after a single turn, he would be asleep. If the opponent is asleep, he is at your mercy and its basically game over. Use it against my clone."
