"Alright, now the last way of breaking a Genjutsu, is to introduce a foreign chakra, into your chakra flow. This would reset it, and cause your chakra flow to go back to its normal state.

What is foreign chakra, and how is it introduced?. Well, Foreign chakra comes in various forms, like for example, activating a Curse Mark, or entering into Sage Mode, having a Bijuu help you (if you're a Jinchuuriki) or if you have a partner on the field, who uses the chakra transfer technique on you to introduce his chakra into your system, would also suffice.

So, there we have it. Pain, powerful surges of chakra, and the introduction of foreign chakra into your system. Now, remember, before using any of these, you must first realize you are in a Genjutsu. We already covered that part though, so last but not least, Genjutsu Layering. What can you tell me about that?"

Dean asks, as he crosses his arms, and waits for his student's answer.

Genjutsu layering? Well I happen to have some knowledge on this. Genjutsu layering is just as the name implies. You can layer genjutsu so if your opponent breaks out of one, they have to deal with the others. This is a very useful skill to use, as you could stack/layer mulitple A rank ninjutsu on your opponent to make them harm themself to get out, which in turn would help the user in battle.

"Alright, that's good. It helps in battle, yes. Now tell me, how would you break a layered Genjutsu? If I cast two Genjutsu on you, how you would you break them? Do you know any of those particulars?"

Dean asks, trying to get some last knowledge from his student.

I'd assume it is the same way as breaking a normal genjutsu, you just have to break multiple by surging your chakra or causing pain to yourself.

Note: I don't include the foreign chakra because I doubt i'd ever have someone else on my side of a battle. It doesn't work with me, i'm a lone wolf

"Well, you're on the right track. In order to break a Layered Genjutsu, you have to break the higher ranking one of two layered. If you break the lower ranking one first, the higher ranking one will linger.

Now, layering Genjutsu only works if it's non-conflicting Genjutsu, and only two Genjutsu together. Another thing to remember, is that the higher ranking Genjutsu has to be cast first, then the lower ranking one. If you cast a lower ranking one first, and then a higher ranking one, the higher ranking one will flush out the lower ranking one, leaving only the higher ranked Genjutsu.

Now you might be wondering, what rank would the two combined Genjutsu's be? Well, it would be the rank of the higher ranked Genjutsu. Say the lower ranking one is B rank, and the higher ranking one is A rank, it'd be A rank."

Dean says as he clears his throat.

"Any questions before we go on?"

"Good, now, I will explain the technique to you, then I want you to perform the technique against my clone, give me at least two advantages and disadvantages of the technique, and also, how you would use it in battle. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Now, for the first technique, you will use your chakra to induce an illusion on the opponent. In the illusion, the opponent will see changes in the environment, that you chose to change. These changes can be subtle, like creating a hole in the battlefield to fool the opponent, or changing the entire terrain, like for example, from a desert to that of a forest. This technique works well for distraction, however, it can only change the terrain. Use it against my clone, plus the other stuff I listed."

Dean creates a clone that walks towards Chriss.

Chriss quickly gathers his chakra and focuses into forcing it in the clones mind. In the Illusion the battlefield would turn into a raging sea with a huge tidal wave coming at the clone.

Advantages
• Gives me time to mould my nature chakra into a more deadly attack
• Might make the opponent faint if they are a coward
Disadvantages
• easily broken
• will be obvious that it's a genjutsu if I use the above example
• smart opponents won't really be affected by it

Note: Genjutsu doesn't work on clones sensei. Thought you would have known that, being that you are a genjutsu specialist

Its just for training purposes, but clones are affected by Genjutsu. Why wouldn't they be? Here is a part from Scorps' explanation on it. Scorps is one of the best Genjutsu users on NB.

Another point that leads to many discussions is the fact that Clones may or may not be affected by Illusions. The truth is that they are in fact affected by illusions but since they don't have an organic, real body, they don't suffer pain or reflexive actions based on that illusion. They will experience it and see it and be affected by it in terms of their senses, but they don't take mental or otherwise physical damage nor do they experience suffering or torture, faint or otherwise fall asleep or become paralyzed as a result of the Illusion.
So yeah, I do know o_O. If you want to correct me on something, feel free to VM me, it shows signs of disrespect to do it in such a manner like you did. I don't mind though, its just to keep the training thread clean, yeah?

"Hm, your advantages aren't really sufficient. Why would the opponent faint? The performance wasn't that bad, though you could still put some more effort in it. Try and re-do the advantages. Disadvantages are okay, yes, its easily broken but even a smart opponent would have to break it, even if it is so simple."

Chriss again focuses his chakra and forces it into his opponents mind. He then creates an illusion of a raging sea with countless waves and lightning bolts crashing down on the opponent while an enormous shark swallows the clone whole.

Advantages
• May make the opponent faint if they have a weak heart (like Sakura when Sasuke gen'd her at VotE2)
• Decent distraction
• In some cases it may actually win the fight if it is perfectly timed
Disadvantages
• as I said before

"No, your performance was alright previously, remember, the technique can only change the terrain. You can't add sharks, or lightning bolts, only changes to the terrain. As for your advantages, if the technique doesn't say that it makes someone faint, it doesn't make a person faint, that's it. Here is the technique, read through it, and give me one last try, and we'll go on."

Dean throws a scroll towards Chriss.

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

Advantages
• Can be used to cover my movements so I can get behind the opponent for another jutsu
• the others I stated previously
Disadvantages
• already stated

"Okay, we can move on.

Now the next illusion requires you to form five hand seals and then induce the illusion on the opponent. The opponent will then see you dissolve into cherry blossom petals, and then surround them (all in the illusion). This blocks the opponent's vision, and allows you to attack in reality. Use it against my clone (plus add the advantages and stuff too)."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Chriss.

Chriss makes 5 quick handseals behind his back, he then forces his chakra into his opponents chakra network. As the opponent see's me dissolve into several cherry blossums, I run toward him and strike him with a kunai to the heart.

Advantages
• Decent Distraction
• Gives me enough time to use a more powerful jutsu to end the match
• The cherry blossums will look pretty (joke)

Disadvantages
• Easily Broken
• If the opponent breaks out and I am running toward them, they could pretend to still be in the genjutsu and attack me when I have no time to react
• The Cherry Blossums are gaaaayyyy

"This is better, but never ever say you form hand seals behind your back. It'll only count against you. Other than that, another disadvantage would be that one has to form five hand seals, which is a lot. Anyway, here is the technique you just learned."

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.

"Next, we got a technique where you will form a single hand seal, and then induce the illusion. After forming the hand seal, you will throw a paper bomb towards the opponent. The opponent will see a clone running towards him, in the illusion, and not the paper bomb. Once the paper bomb reaches its target, it explodes, causing quite some damage. A nice technique to combine with a mist or something, to fool the opponent. Use it against my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Chriss.

Chriss makes a single hand seal and forces his chakra into an opponents mind. He then throws a paper bomb at his opponent, which the opponent would see as a clone. Once the paper bomb got close to the opponent, it explodes, severally harming him and kicking up some dirty. Chriss then throws a smoke bomb for cover. Then throws a kunai at the opponents heart.

Advantages
• Only Requires one hand seal
• Can restrict the enemies sight with the dirt and dust it'll displace
• Can possibly be combined with a smoke bomb for devastating effect

Disadvantages
• While it is few, it still requires a single hand seal to be made, which could give away that it's a genjutsu
• Can be broken easily, like all other low level genjutsu
• Can't be layered as it is a lower level genjutsu, it can only be applied to something so it can layer

"Very good, that's more like it. And yes, due to it being D rank, it can really act as the "higher ranked" Genjutsu when layering. Anyway, here is the technique you just learned."

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user does one handseal and throws a paper bomb at the enemy. The enemy, trapped in a genjutsu will see a clone of the user advancing upon him. As the paper bomb reaches the enemy, it explodes

"Next we got an interesting illusion, where you will induce an illusion without the need for hand seals. This allows you to create illusionary clones, that pop from the ground, trees, rocks etc. These clones aren't capable of inflicting physical damage, but if they are hit, they multiply. Then combine this with real clones, and you got yourself a nice tactic. Use it against my one clone to confuse him, and then take him out."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Chriss.

Chriss forces his chakra into the clones mind and makes a clone come out of the ground infront of himself. Which would multiply should any opposing force touch it. Chriss then throws multiple shuriken through his clone and runs around his enemies right side. Stabbing him from his back and through his heart.

Advantages
• Great distraction
• Great for buying some time
• As you said, can be great with a real clone

Disadvantages
• The fake clones can't hurt someone
• Can be broken easily
• Doesn't cause much confusion on a smart opponent

"Nice job, here you go."

Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

"Next, we got the last D rank technique where you will perform two hand seals and induce the illusion on the opponent. The opponent will then see a large amount of leaves swirl around them, obstructing their vision. The leaves then fall away, and the opponent will then see an image of their greatest fear, greatly shocking them with a chance of causing them to faint. Yes, this technique can make someone faint if successful. Use it against my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Chriss.
