Genjutsu with Adachi-Sensei

[Holy Cross]

An explosive tag is an essential ninja tool that will detonate upon being lit with fire or activated manually. Normally they are infused with chakra and bear the Kanji for "explode". When they are detonated remotely, one will perform the "Snake" hand seal.



1: they can be tied to the end of a kunai to work somewhat like a grenade.

2: They can be used for traps by hiding them all over the battle field

3: They can be slapped onto your enemy durung a Taijutsu battle (like how Hiruzen used them in manga)

4: They can be tied to a string and daisy chained together; Making a Cluster Bomb.

5: Dud paper bombs can also be used to scare/trick your enemy.

Daisy bombs. o_o You can also attach explosive tags to clones and sending them forward (just like exploding Kage Bunshin) and there is also a special Ninjutsu technique that makes them invisible. Then have them explode close on impact to your enemy.
Remember that you need to make the snake handseal for this to explode.
Now, I want you to take over the mind of my clone and make him think that a clone of you is walking towards him.
In reality, however, the clone conceals in an incoming explosive tag.
Time it well.

Richter focuses his chakra while looking at your clone and manipulates his sense of sight as he throws a Kunai with an explosive tag attached. Your clone percepts my kunai as a clone of Richter running at him.
Upon seeing this, your clone rushes the "Clone" and is instead, welcomed by my kunai which I activate with the "Snake" hand seal upon impact.

Perfect. So, when a clone advances, it directs their attention on the clone, allowing you to pull off more moves. And especially because this is a Genjutsu, and you can conceal sound, you can cook up a strong move while they are focused on the clone, such as Rasenshuriken. Sound is another important aspect of battling, and it usually alerts us to one jutsu or the other.

Description: The user does one handseal and throws a paper bomb at the enemy. The enemy, trapped in a genjutsu will see a clone of the user advancing upon him. As the paper bomb reaches the enemy, it explodes

Once again, use your chakra to manipulate my clone's five senses.
I want you to surround my clone with your clones, having them rise up from the ground. (As an illusion.)
My clone will then attempt to attack your clones, and what you must do is to physically block him each time, tricking him into thinking that they are real.
Furthermore, every time he hits one, they multiply. <- Explain the purpose of this.

*Richter focuses his chakra while looking at your clone and thinking about a hoard of clones rising from the ground like zombies. As he does this he is manipulating your clone's five senses so that it lives out Richter's thoughts in his head. *

*Your clone desperately attacks the clones as Richter causes him to believe that his attacks are being blocked and every time, the imaginary clone that was attacked, multiplys. Causing your clone to panic and feel as if he's being overwhelmed.*

The purpose of the clones multiplying is that if the enemy feels overwhelmed, then he might do something reckless like waste chakra or waste chakra on a jutsu that leaves him trapped.

Description: The user first throws out a lighter that has an open flame.The user the turns the flame into a wall of fire used for protection or to burn small objects thrown towards him. This jutsu can be used with Hurricane Fist to create a combo jutsu.

They might use this jutsu to try and take out the multiple imaginary clones that's circling them. By doing this they're trapping themselves and setting you up for the kill.

It was a great response, you spoke of strategic pressure, and you are indeed correct - it not only applies strategic pressure, but anxiety too.
The point of Genjutsu is to trick the enemy, so yes, he would have also have a hard time picking out which clone it is. But you must always remember to strike where he does, as this would have a bit of impact on your prediction skills.
You can trap him in such a state for awhile, and if you had made a Shadow clone beforehand, you can have that clone attack your opponent while he is fumbling to get out of this Genjutsu.

Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

They effected him so much because of a bad childhood experience with a group of snails.
This experience permanently traumatized him.​

Traumatized. Good word. I'll summarize it up: Genjutsus mainly cause two effects:
Fear and Stress.
Stress would cause their blood pressure to go up, thus, giving them labored breathing, which exhausts them, and also hinders their rationalizations.

Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

This next jutsu is rather basic.
Focus upon the flow of the chakra of your body in order to "spike" it so that it throws the balance off, thus releasing you from any current Genjutsu that may have a hold on you. Remember to form a handseal prior to doing this.
This is known as Kai, one of the ways to disrupt Genjutsus.
Do you know what rank Genjutsus this can go up to?

Say, can I combo multiple Genjutsu like you can with ninjutsu?
Or can I only use 1 Genjutsu at a time?​

I don't think you can layer Genjutsu.
Mmm, actually, a Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank, an S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank, and a Sannin rank ninja (and above) can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. Lastly, a Sage-rank can dispel up to S-Rank Genjutsu.

Remember that Kai requires a handseal and you cannot use it if your body is immobilized by the Genjutsu. So in the case where you can't move your hands or feet, how would you get out of a Genjutsu?

You can bite your tongue, gather Senjutsu chakra, (If you're a Sage) have a comrade channel his chakra into you or cause you pain in someway,(the pain method can also be performed by a clone) etc etc.
Also, if you're sitting still, that'd be the perfect time to gather Senjutsu chakra and break the technique.

Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja (and above) can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu.

This next jutsu was used in the Chunin exams. When my clone begins walking, send your chakra to him and have him believe he is walking in a straight line, thus proceeding.
In reality, he is walking in circles.
Describe the psychological impact of this.

*As your clone begins to move, Richter channels his chakra out and into it, effecting and controlling it's 5 senses. Causing it to believe that it is walking directly toward richter, while in actuality, it's walking in circles.*

This jutsu can be helpful because it isn't like other Genjutsu; it doesn't mentally "Scar" or "Scare". But instead allows you to control your opponents movement without him/her knowing it. As well as the opportunities that the afformentioned will supply.

As for the psychological impact: Since they're continuing to move in a circle, their body might face unexpected symptoms of fatigue that'll cause great discouragement if used in the latter stages of battle.

Perfect. Confusion, distraction...exhaustion. All of these are part of it.

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique

Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

This next jutsu is pretty straightforward.
Release your chakra from your body to take over my clone's five senses.
Then have him believe that a huge ball of fire is coming from the sky, ready to burn him into a crisp!
