Ninjas are people who live and protect their villages, they are often sent out on missions in order to make money and live. Ninjas have ranks within their villages and those ranks go From acdemy student, Genin, Chunin, S-jounin, Jounin and Kage I believe.

Chakra is the molding of physical and spiritual energy which enables the user to use ninjutsu through the use of handseals it also enables the user to release it through certain points in their body in order to enable them to do things like walk on water.

Ninjutsu is/are technique(s) a ninja uses by molding his chakra.

Elements are Earth, Wind, Fire, Lightning and Water.

Elemental Ninjutsu are normal ninjutsu techniques but with the persons elements added to them, for example it would be like Rasengan but to make an elemental ninjutsu naruto added his wind affinity making it RasenShuriken.

Taijutsu is a form of fighting without the use of chakra and ninjutsu techniques but through hand to hand combat.

Genjutsu is the release of the users chakra in order to confuse the opponents five senses making them vulnerable to attacks.

Here's everything...

Ninja:
Also known as shinobi, are mercanary warriors that used to work under Daimyo (Nobles) in the time of Feudal Japan. They resided in the shadows and did the works that the Samurai, who were the military force of the Daimyo at the time, didn't due to their code (Bushido). Shinobi used ninjutsu, which was the arts of the shinobi and they specialized in doing the secret covert tasks for Daimyou such as assassinations of varrious persons, sabotage, espionage, etc. In the Narutoverse, shinobi make up the military system for the countries that have them. Though shinobi still maintain their more steriotypical jobs like assassinations, and espionage, in the Narutoverse shinobi act as me soldiers and work other jobs in the village like transporting doccuments inside and outside the village, babysitting, construction jobs, bodyguarding important persons, etc. In the villages and countries that shinobi do serve in, they are given ranks based on their skills, abilities, and capabilities in order to accurately assign them tasks and promote and organization that would account for the highest success rate of missions. These ranks include genin (lower level ninja), chuunin (mid-level shinobi), Tokubetsu Jounin (special eliete level shinobi) jounin (elite level shinobi) and in the cases of the Five Great nations, Kage (Shadow) which represents the leader of the village. The Kage are highest ranking authority in the shinobi village and obtain their rank through election by the previous Kage and the jounin of the village, based on skills, and the capability of leading the village successfully. Shinobi follow rules and regulations that are the building block of their society as warriors, however the most important rule would be one's nindo or ninja way, which is a path that the shinobi answers to above all else. A nindo is a shinobi's will personal code of conduct which exemplifies who they are as a shinobi and a person.

Chakra:
Chakra is the life essence of a being and more importantly, for shinobi, it is the key to using ninjutsu. Chakra controls life within a person, and if learned how to be manipulated, chakra allows one to use ninjutsu, genjutsu, and some forms of taijutsu. Shinobi are taught to manipulate chakra in order to complete tasks and occurances that would otherwise be impossible or extremely difficult. Chakra has two basic foundations, Physical chakra (Yang) which is one's stamina and chakra used to create physical happenings; and spiritual chakra (Yin) which is the mental discipline and strength of a being. Phyisical chakra is enhanced through training the body and eduring physical labor that would allow one to last longer in fights and other tasks (increases their stamina), while spiritual chakra is enhanced through studying and meditation in order to increase intelligence and mental composure (increases mental discipline and opens the mind). Nature energy is the third aspect of chakra, although it is not chakra found within the body, but from the nature around. Nature energy is the chakra of the world and those who learn how to use it draw it's power into their own body and balances it with their physical and spiritual chakra.

Ninjutsu:
Ninjutsu in the narutovers refers to both, the style of fighting used by shinobi, and the manipulation of chakra in order to create physical occurances. In ninjutsu (the style) shinobi are taught the basics (and later more advanced concepts) of stealth, espionage, fighting, trap setting, chakra manipulation, problem solving skills, and tactics. As for Ninjutsu, the actual shinobi arts like manipulating chakra to use jutsu/techniques, shinobi learn the basics of chakra manipulation and applying them to certian techniques and later go on to learn more advanced techniques.

Elements:
Elements in terms are the natural attributes in the world, that are also found within humans and allows them to manipulate them. The basic elements are fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning, while there are more advanced elements accessable to shinobi (if one possesses a kekkei genkai) such as Boil/steam (Fire+water), Lava (fire+earth), etc. Everybody has a natural affinity to the elements or natures, which are naturally stronger or easier to learn and use for specific persons. Though people/shinobi can learn to manipulate more then one nature, studying of one's self or simply practicing harder is required before one can learn how to use all of them, outside their natural affinity.

Elemental Ninjutsu:
Elemental ninjutsu is ninjutsu which utilizes nature manipulation, which is the manipulation of the nature attributes within the body. Like regular ninjutsu it creates physical occurances, however, with standard ninjutsu one doesn't use nature abilities like fire or water, etc. Elemental ninjutsu requires one to first learn how to manipulate elemental chakra, and then learn how to manifest that chakra into the desired technique, often enough combining it with shape manipulation, which is the molding of chakra into specific shapes and forms. For example, the fireball jutsu is an example of nature and shape manipulation, and it is an elemental ninjutsu.

Taijutsu:
is a form of combat taught to shinobi that generally doesn't utilize chakra in the same sense as ninjutsu or genjutsu. Taijutsu is pure martial arts, or hand to hand combat. The only toll one takes, concerning chakra, is their stamina. Taijutsu is a heavily physically emphasised art, where strikes, kicks, speed, power, and endurance are stressed more then chakra molding. Although in most forms of taijutsu chakra is not utilized, there are techniques and fighting styles within this set that utilizes chakra. The Hyuuga clan's gentle fist is an example of one, as well as medical ninjas' chakra enhanced strength. In the Hyuuga style, the clansmen utilize precise chakra control (which is innate to their clan) to channle their own chakra into the bodies of their opponents to attack the chakra network (allowing them to manipulate chakra flow or halt it all together), or damage the internal organs. This style doesn't emphasis power so much as precision in chakra control, speed, agility, and flexability (being a naturally defensive art). While Chakra enhanced strength is also used for defesive purposes (medical shinobi use this to maintain a distance from their opponents) this style focuses on channeling chakra outside one's own body to enhance their own strength and provide a more external damaging force. These are two examples where taijutsu utilizes chakra.

Genjutsu:
is like ninjutsu in utilizing chakra and handseals to utilize techniques, however, what sets this style apart from taijutsu and ninjutsu is that, genjutsu doesn't cause physical harm to one's opponent, but rather places them under illusions that confuses their senses. Genjutsu (Illusionary arts) are used as psycological warfare to to speak. Genjutsu stress a stronger reliance on mental discipline and ability, which makes it potentially the hardest type of jutsu to master. In genjutsu, shinobi channle their chakra into the cerebral nervous system of their opponent and cause them to see illusions that confuse the sense and can be used to psycologically damage/kill, remain hidden, etc. Offensivly genjutsu can be used to misconstrude one's preception of pain, causing them to experience torturing pain, unable to distinguish reality from fiction. The mental strain and shock from such jutsu could potentially kill, if strong enough, by tearing the mind apart at the seams. Defending against genjutsu takes a high level of mental discipline and control. In defending against genjutsu there are three ways for, standard genjutsu. Option one would be to expell the aggressors chakra from your body via genjutsu Kai (release) which is basically sending a surge of your own chakra through your body and pushing out the outside chakra. Re-establishing the mind's concept of reality and fiction by causing physical pain to one's self is another option. Through injuring yourself or experiencing an injury the mind would understand reality and fiction and re-establish your mental composure, thus releasing the genjutsu. The final option for standard genjutsu defense would be the same concept as the first, however, this time the disruption of chakra would come from a third party (a comrade or summoning possibly) channling their chakra into your body and releasing the genjutsu for you. The last method could be for shinobi who are perticurally weaker in genjutsu or who are under the control of a stronger user. However certian genjutsu may require alternative means, outside of the three mentiond. Tsukuyomi for example has been said to be unbreakable except for shinobi of the Uchiha bloodline (although that rule has been broken), and Nidaime Mizukage's genjutsu with his summoning could only be released if the clam was defeated.

Thank you again Scrops, for training me

Very good both of you. Just one notice. Chakra seems to only exist in sentient beings; beings that can talk and are intelligent. Its not present in trees for example.

Also, elements. Don't mix Elemental Ninjutsu with Elements. Element is the concept that exists in Nature. Earth exists by itself and by itself its an element. Elemental Ninjutsu or releases are the ability to use your chakra to manipulate elements that exist in nature.

Now, Genjutsu or illusionary arts, are techniques in which you can (or not) use your chakra through hand seals (or not) to influence your opponents chakra flow in order to make him experience illusions. These can vary in effect but all illusions are based around the basic 5 senses: taste, vision, hearing, touch and smell. The most powerful genjtusu generally affect more than one sense at a time. The damage a Genjutsu does comes from the strain the illusion does on the opponents body and not from any actual physical damage. For example., you can make your opponent feel pain as if his leg was cut of but his leg will still be there unaffected.

Sort of off topic question.
So would nature energy count as a different type of power then? If that's the case would it be like saying Chakra is energy within sentient beings, and nature energy is energy within everything that isn't? I know this isn't exactly on topic of genjutsu but I'm just curious, for future refrance.

@ your explination of Elements and Elemental ninjutsu. Elements are the attributes of nature, while elemental ninjutsu are the abilities that are generated by people utilizing what their chakra to manipulate the elements, correct?

Genjutsu is used to manipulate the flow and misconstrude the senses of another to make them see, feel, smell, hear, and/or taste things that aren't actually real. Genjutsu can be used with or without hand seals, so long as chakra is transmitted to one's opponent in order to succesfully execute the illusion. Is that what you're getting at?

Exactly. Also, about natural energy techniques or Senjutsu, Natural energy exists all around us. Its the passive energy that binds everything in naruto world. You have 3 energies so far: Physical, Spiritual and Natural. Chakra comes from the combination of the first two. Sage Chakra comes from the combination of all 3. Natural Energy exists in everything all around us. Its the energy of nature itself.

Was i clear? sometimes i fear i might not be able to explain myself very well.

Yes sensei *claps hands together*

(in thought) Focus, precision is everything.

*As I begin to focus my mind on my target (you) I attempt to align my chakra with the chakra in your brain, thinking of the image I wish to display in front of you*

(in thought) Focus, align the chakra with his own.

*I channle my chakra into your cerebral cortex, and attempt to control your mind's chakra with my own chakra, forcing the image of a wall to appear before your own eyes*

*I concentrate my chakra and align it with the chakra in your body and use that to control your thoughts and what you think you know/see and feel, I then use that to make you believe there is a wall in front of you when there isn't*

Sooo...when are you thinking of starting? Oh...you already tried? Please don't copy off one and other. It has nothing to do with aligning your chakra with mine. Its actually the opposite. Genjutsu works by making a disturbance in your opponents chakra flow. You need to use your chakra to make that disturbance happen. If you try to align your chakra with mine, nothing will happen.

Try again!^^

*bows* my apologies sensei

*I clap my hands again focusing on conveying the image of a wall while attempting to cause an interfearance and disturbance within your own flow of chakra*

(in thought) Concentrate...NOW!

*I focus my chakra on interfearing and disrupting your natural flow, causing a mental disturbance which forces the image of a wall to appear in front of you, causing you to believe it's real*

(in though) This...this has to work...

Sorry, I may have read reborns one first to get some ideas on what to write
but I won't do that this time. >_>

*I gather my chakra and release it at a constant speed and aim it towards you brain, I then disturb the chakra flow in your brain and target the area which controls what you see and by using my chakra to disturb your own flow of chakra I make you see a wall in front of you through constant control of my chakra in your brain*

There!!! Good!!! *kai!*

Very good!!!

Now you have both learned your first genjutsu:

(Genjutsu: Kokohin) - Illusion Technique: False surrounding
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10(+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user controls creates a false surrounding which can change the way an object or small area looks(if used double then its a layer of false surroundings not easy noticed by the enemy).

Tell me, how can this be useful? what are its limitations? Possible combos?

Now you have both learned your first genjutsu:

(Genjutsu: Kokohin) - Illusion Technique: False surrounding
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10(+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user controls creates a false surrounding which can change the way an object or small area looks(if used double then its a layer of false surroundings not easy noticed by the enemy).

Tell me, how can this be useful? what are its limitations? Possible combos?
*bows* Thank you sensei

This technique could be useful for diversion purposes or for escaping to gain hidden ground to spy on your opponent so you may have the element of surprise.

This jutsu is close ranged so it wouldn't work outside a distinct range, you wouldn't be able to use this for say: if you're hidden in a tree at long range, you can't use this jutsu on your opponent to cast an illusion so that they're unaware and you can use a long ranged ninjutsu or use projectiles to catch them off guard. You'd first have to be in range of the jutsu, get further ground and then preform your jutsu, and that would provide one's opponent with ample time to release the genjutsu and come back and counter.

As for possible combinations: say one's opponent was coming at you in order to get in close enough for taijutsu. You don't want that close of combat so when they're running to you, once they're in good enough range you can use this jutsu to surround them with a wall or a cage. While they deal with the kai, or whatever means they have of repelling it you could either (1) attack them yourself at close range with taijutsu or a weapon or (2) get out of range and use some other mid/long range jutsu.
