Genjutsu top 10

Doesn't really matter if he's uchiha or not, this is about the use of genjutsu. Don't get me wrong, in my opinion Shusui deserves to be above Danzo, but with the information at hand, which I'll put under this, Danzo is just more proficient with Kotoamatsukami.

yup I can agree with you about this one... If we get to know about shuisui more we'll know for sure and he will be at the top no doubt since it was his eye everyone was after....

About wielding the eye I can give you example of Kakashi and Obito since obito was an uchiha he can use Kamui efficiently where as Kakashi couldn't unless he saw Obito use it after the mask was shattered

But that didn't involve Senju DNA. Danzo could use it once a day because of Senju DNA (lol say that sentence again). It had nothing to do with being an uchiha or not. You just got me more interested in Shusui now... There might be a special something in it for him because he is an uchiha, but for now that's just speculation

By hype, he's probably the best Genjutsu user in the series...


Anyway, IMO the list would be something like:

1) Madara
2) Itachi
3) Shisui (hype)
4) Hashirama
5) Ma and Pa
6) Obito
7) Trollkage
8) Sasuke
9) SM Kabuto
10) Danzo

A couple of things-
The reason I've put Danzo at the very end is because I'm not really considering Kotoamatsukami. It is an absolute Genjutsu, which doesn't really require much skill on the user's part (since in this case, the user simply requires Shisui's eye)

The reason I've put Shisui so far up on the list is because of the ridiculous hype he has received, and because mastering Kotoamatsukami is one hell of a feat.

I dont see whats wrong with having kurenai on the list. Yeh she got owned by itachi but it was the worst possible opponent for her. And the databook does say her skills rival that of itachi's. Its just unfortunate we really haven't really seen anything to back up that statement. Kurenai, along with her genin team have the least screen time come to think of it, except mabe hinata.

Obito has a very impressive genjutsu feat he used on Yagura for several years. We don't know how though, as he seems to be not that much of a genjutsu user in his fights, which is odd for someone who was able to do what he did with Perfect Jinchuuriki

Madara was able to own Ei with a regular Genjutsu. Also, he probably has a Tsukuyomi of his own (since his grand scheme kinda revolves around it) which should be almost as strong as Itachi's, if not as strong or stronger.

Hashirama's Bringer of Darkness is hyped to be one of the most effective ones... However, I do admit that Hashirama's place on the list is mainly due to the incredible hype he's receiving.

Madara, on the other hand, deserves the number one spot.

I disagree. I dont see why madara deserves the number 1 spot. What are you basing his ranking on? Genjutsu skill or genjutsu power? The genjutsu he used against Ei was just regular sharingan genjutsu which sasuke and itachi have used one a few occassions. Sasuke did exactly that same thing as madara but on a skilled genjutsu user (C/raikage's bodyguard) so shouldn't he be number 1 then?

I agree with shisui's and itachi's ranking but I dont understand why someone like tayuya and sasuke are above kurenai? Itachi beat her because he used the mirror heaven and earth change, which allows him to flip visual genjutsu right back at the user. I'm not saying kurenai would beat him but she was simply up against the worst possible opponent, one of the few people who can match her genjutsu skills and has the sharingan, which just makes things a whole lot worse.

Sasuke should be 4.He got itachi's eyes and did you see when he used genjutus on zetsu's to get intel?Kurenai can only damage with her genjutsu. Ou and number 2 should be Madara because he can make anything happen in his genjutsu.
