After performing the handseals, a profusion of petals surround the opponent, they are revealed from the user as they rapidly begin circling around the opponent. From the opponent's eyes they see the user dissolve into the petals (making the technique itself quiet obvious). In reality the user is simply stood in the same position & is able to effectively move around the opponent without them noticing the direction in which they move.

The user however can only mislead the opponent's sight, not any other senses.

A decent illusion as the trigger (the handseal) would likely lead the opponent to believe it was to create the clone rather than an illusion. I am guessing the "clone" travels at the same speed as the paper bomb. A couple of questions:
Could I attach the paper bomb to any sort of medium? such as a kunai or an earth jutsu. If so does that affect the speed of the illusion?
What if I perform this while hidden from the opponent's view? I am guessing they would not see the illusion as a clone but the original me.

I am guessing this covers a wide area, meaning it would probably force the opponent to use a wide spread jutsu if they can't figure it to be a gen. This allows you to counter effectively. It would probably give it away after the attack once the opponent notices they are still on the field & continue to multiply. A couple of questions:
Do these clones emerge through their respective locations or to they phase through? which would kinda be a give away.
If they come in contact with the opponent or an attack, do they phase through it like "false illusion" or would can you control the illusion to make them dispel as if a normal clone?

The leaves may be a give away, narrows the usage depending on your terrain. Something similar to killing intent, to paralyze the opponent for even a short moment. In essence, it can be a great technique if meta-gaming was not such an issue. It does provide cover if the opponent would want to hide themselves & launch a surprise attack as this is active.

I don't do this kind of training anymore. Specially not for Genjutsu.

This will be a more of a discussion types of training then "post jutsu here and there and explain"

To start it off, as you have been gone a while, while this is not starting over. I wanna know if you have retained the information you had a long while ago.

Explain to me what you know of Genjutsu. We will start there and progress to a more discussion type training.

Genjutsu is an illusionary effect placed on the opponent that has no effect on their physical body but rather their mind. It is fueled by one's chakra, running through the opponent's chakra system; spreading across their brain to force a mental effect where the target perceives images that are not real. The illusion is successfully placed after having affected the target's senses, causing anything within the illusion to feel real to them, whether by touch or pain. Physically the target does not feel any pain, but dependent on the illusion, they can be left incapacitated due to the mental strain placed on them. Genjustu can also cast outside of the opponent's system, basically affecting their vision by altering the terrain around them, such as "False Surroundings". These types of illusions are more subtle, especially to the untrained eye, they can be used to create openings against a target, leaving little warning to them. Their are two ways to be released from an illusion, The first requires the user to disrupt their flow of chakra, relieving the opponent's & dispelling the effects placed on them. This can be done by a majority of full body techniques that require the user to commit their entire chakra system to a technique. The second is through pain, The maount of pain to duffer through depends on the rank of the illusion,

When using full body surge techniques to release from genjutsu they must be one rank higher (in case it is elemental and two ranks higher if it is raw chakra) than that of genjutsu, however when using Kai, you would use a version of it which is same rank as the genjutsu under which you were placed. However, the rank of Kai which you can use will also depend on your rank. In case of you, whereas you are Sannin at present time, you could use it to dispel genjutsu up to A rank. Except Kai, you could release genjutsu through means of self-suffering. This is plausible due to distrubance of physical energy when inducing pain and coming to state of altering the balance between physical and spiritual energy. Now, also depending on the rank of genjutsu will also depend the pain you must make upon yourself to release from it.

D Rank Genjutsu: Chipping a Finger (like one does as he bites to draw blood for a Summoning Jutsu)
C Rank Genjutsu: Low level Physical Attacks, Bitting a chunk of your Cheek
B Rank Genjutsu: Low ranked Taijutsu/Freestyle
A Rank Genjutsu: High ranked Taijutsu, Stabbing Yourself in minor muscle, Cutting yourself, Breaking Smaller bones, Low level Burning/Voltage, Painful Cold
S Rank Genjutsu: EIG/Sage level Taijutsu, Breaking Bones, Deep Stabs or cuts, Medium Voltage/Burning, Extreme Painful Cold, Bitting your tongue off

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

Ask if you have any questions here.

Next two:

14:10 - 16:06 (around that time)

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

( Genjutsu: Jinmon ) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: The user of this technique, upon casting on a stationary opponent with physical contact with them, is able to convince the enemy to give away information. However, this will only work on ninja two ranks lower and below than the caster.

Do the same thing you did when training under Vision.

Self explanatory, don't see myself reaching Sage rank anytime soon so A rank releases will do :). Other than that it is mainly a painless way of releasing the user through specific gen that still allow movement & followed with a logical explanation.

A practical genjutsu to use against those incoming toward you, of course. It does not state it but do Genjutsu not require a minimum of 1 handseal to perform? or can I use this without the need of handseals? If it does indeed require handseals then it can be of great use in cover; being caught in a smoke bomb by your opponent usually follows by them closing in toward your position, preferably the taijutsu specialists. This would be a great way to counter that.

Not a very useful technique for myself or within a battle, seems more suited for RP purposes. Regarding all Genjutsu requiring physical contact. How long would I need to maintain contact for the genjutsu to work? or does each one have it's own timing?

Not always. It solely depends on the technique at question. In this case it doesn't.

It is mere moments for it to start working. However, genjutsu will work as long as you are in physical contact with your target. Moment you let go of that physical contact it would stop working. (unless specificied differently) Hehe.

Next two:

I will quote wiki when it comes to this technique; ''The targets involved in the illusion literally feel the ball's hot temperature getting closer.'' so when using this technique, never forget to add this detail, making it slightly harder to distinguish. On the other hand, keep in mind that fire-ball is completely intangible. This being said, if you were to throw something in its direction, it would merely pass through it. I am certain you are aware of this technique as it is pretty used in battles, and you have quite a experience when it comes to them.

A good jutsu to distract the opponent to the very least. Would be best used in cover, this way the opponent will not see the lack of handseals, believing it to be an actual fire jutsu otherwise in plain view they may realise(though I am not sure if that would be a valid way of perceiving it as a Genjutsu.). Various tactics that can be used alongside this, the most notable may be an attack from beneath just as this is cast or vice versa. Another could be a second jutsu concealed within the fire ball. The opponent is more likely to use a water jutsu, which leaves little to cover earth jutsu, but maybe particular mud related techniques such as sticky earth drop as the fireball closes in, I see it being large enough to cover the latter.

I would prefer using this in conjunction with kunai & smoke bombs, simple but effective/quick offences in a variety of ways. Original hiding in a cloud of smoke as the Gen clone emerges from it. As it jumps up the user hurls the kunai followed by the Gclone exploding. Could I slightly step out of bounds with this gen & control the clone's movements? or is it a simple straight forward dash followed by a leap into the air?

I would say it is a simple straight forward dash which is following position of your target due to rank of technique in question. But then again it is not exactly specified within the description of the technique. Yey, we are now on B ranks!

This is an advanced version of technique you learned before; ( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique. Basically you would place your opponent in a two-layered genjutsu. Now similar to the D ranked version, both genjutsus will be connected with changes to the terrain. If he was to manage and release from the first one he will then find himself in the second illusion.

(Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu) Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique
Type: Supplmentary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals, putting his opponents under a double layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.

A useful technique to delay your opponent for a long period of time, maybe enough to support a surprise attack just as the original. The technique itself is best used in specific situations, most notable being obscuring the opponent's vision before performing this. This allows the user to freely perform handseals without the opponent noticing; which could perhaps lead to a giveaway of the illusion. Leaves almost limitless options of creativity. Gets slightly tricky when it comes to releasing from the technique, only due to the argument that one could simply metagame & perform a release equivalent to a B Rank rather than separate releases for each illusion.

An illusionary technique which can not be performed if one does not have a sword. It is initiated with one, by waving it back and forth. Such movement would be a trigger. For one placed under it, they would see multiple waving arms. Such movement would resemble one of a willow tree blowing in the wind.

You must be registered for see images
( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

A powerful genjutsu, yet requires from user to make quite a sequence of hand seals, four to be exact. After performing the seals you will trigger the illusion where your opponent sees you disappear whilst several bean vines grow from th ground around and beneath them. These vines will both bind the target as well lift them into the air. As that happened, a bean pod would arise from the ground from which user of the technique will show as to strike the target. Now the thing with this genjutsu is that you can use it as per your advantage. First thing first, don't forget that wood is weak to lighting, this being said, keeping in mind that your opponent might send lighting attack as to defend from the wood, you can use a suiton based jutsu and use his lighting against him.

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an illusion where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground around and beneath him. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

User of the technique would trap their target within an illusion where they would see a large flower encircling them before it explodes. Now the person on whom you used this genjutus would believe that an actual explosion took place and collapse because they would think that they were actually injured which would result in stress on their mind and damage being made to them. A good thing about this genjutsu is no need of hand seals.

( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death
Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40 due to stress on the mind
Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

An ok technique, not much use for it as it seems more cosmetic than technical. I guess I would most likely use this while the opponent is in anything less than a normal; such as being concussed, dizzy or even left with a blurred vision some how, this state makes it harder for the opponent to be able to focus on the illusion.

Great to use while hidden from the opponent's vision. As noted the opponent would most likely use a lightning jutsu in response but a simple water jutsu such as gushing water imprisonment would be a useful counter to it. Another use would be after performing an offensive jutsu that lacks in speed, this would help distract the opponent as the first draws closer.

Great for a surprise attack, depending on how fast the flower wraps around before the explosion. The technique itself would be a dead give away fo the jutsu if it is anything like the game version which I found a pic of - , would be better if the petals simply sprouted from the ground. Would be best used with the opponent constricted, having them believe not enough time would be available to escape & the shock from the explosion would leave them unconscious.

User of the technique would perform a sequence of exactly five hand seals before activating the illusion. Once the target has been placed under the genjutsu, they will see user of the technique disolving into the mist. Upon stealthily approaching the target within the short range, the person under the genjutsu will start feeling immobilized as fast growing three would arise behind them, brunching off as to restrain them. Once the tree emerges, user would derive from it as to attack the target. This technique is pretty cool to be used in combination wtih D ranked Mist technique as to make it harder to dissolve. Not really that stealthily in the video but should actually be almost unhearable.

( Magen: Jubaku Satsu ) - Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, and appears to dissolve into a mist. Once they stealthily approach the target and get within short-range, the opponent feels completely immobilized, and believes they have been bound by a fast-growing tree and are unable to move. The user then appears as if they emerge from the tree to attack the target. In reality, the target is immobilized, allowing the user to strike or interrogate them.

This is a technique that was utilised by Orochimaru in a game. Pretty much user of the technique would place their opponent under a genjutsu where they'd see snakes appear beneath them. The snakes would slither around their body, moving from their legs towards their head as to constrict their movement. Upon command of the user they'd start to narrow as to crush the person they are engulfing. This technique is especially useful if you have snake summoning. 9:14 - 9:29

( Genjutsu: Oshitsubusu Hebi Kubire ) - Illusion Technique: Crushing Snake Constriction
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

It is only capable of being used in short range and user would place their target under a genjutsu where they would see user of the technique summoning a purple flowers from the ground in front of them. The flowers would be capable of damaging as well as paralyzing target. Paralysis from this technique last up to a signle turn. It's a similar jutsu as we did before. Similar concept that is.

Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20

Great technique, seems to happen almost instantly from the point of vanishing which is preferred in silent killings. That alongside the noted D rank mist technique can leave the opponent left with a very small timeframe, as long as the user is able to track the opponent effectively. The Handseals would seem as a give away but in actuality do not really tell much of the genjutsu & even if they do the speed of which the technique is performed leaves the opponent restricted in a matter of moments after having vanished. So the user is left with a good chance to successfully perform this jutsu & follow up with a finisher.

Hard to distinguish from a genjutsu or reality as the opponent would have no knowledge of the user's summonings. From watchign the video the techinque overall surprisingly lacks in speed. It seems the opponent would have a brief opening as the snake rises & surrounds them & also before the snake binds & constricts them. Though if used while the opponent is distracted or previously constricted then the technique has a higher chance of success.

( Genjutsu: Hanaoka ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Hill
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user summons up illusionary purple flowers from the ground in front of them, damaging enemies with a chance to paralyze them.
Note: Paralysis lasts one turn.

A weird technique, does not really tell you much of how the flowers paralyze the opponent. Thus this technique could actually be quite exploitable if used as such, especially as it does not require handseals.

User of the technique would make a single hand seal placing their target within a genjutus. Upon doing so, user would toss a large amount of explosive tags at their target. To the target it would seem as if they are countless of butterflies which are hovering around them. Upon the release of explosive tags, for the person under the genjutsu it would seem as if they are sinking into the ground whilst at the same time being immobilized in the reality. The time whilst they are sinking within the illusion will allow user as to place final explosive tag on their forehead before detonating all the tags simultaneously. 7:00 - 7:14

User of the technique would perform a single hand seal placing their target under an illusion where feathers start falling from the sky. Now good thing about this genjutsu is that you will be capable of effecting multiple opponents. The genjutsu itself slowly puts the one under it to sleep after a single turn has passed. 00:25 - 1:20

This one was used by Tobirama Senju actually in a fight where Orochimaru Edo Tenseied him against Sarutobi. User would upon performance of a hand seal place their target in a genjutsu. With the illusion they'd find themself within a world of infinite darkness, where every sense, except one of sight is kept. Now like last technique, this one can be used as to affect more then a single target.

Quite an obvious tell which is the handseal followed by the random appearance of butterflies released by the user. Does not leave much options for the user but could give them a few seconds more against the opponent as they release from it, leaving them open for a brief amount of time. Though it would very effective, in fact even match ending, if the opponent is immobilized in time of the jutsu's effect, but I can imagine most Rpers would claim to release themselves before that phase activates.

Similar to the above jutsu the feathers would seem to be a big give away. A question, is seeing the feathers the trigger to activating the effects of the gen? if not then could this still be effective if I use it while the opponent's vision is obscured or completely blocked? if so I think this could be of great assistance in very selective situations.

A very popular techniques, used mostly to follow up with a fast paced lethal technique to try & end the fight. If used while the opponent is already placed in a dark place, it can allow the user to freely attack them with little to no resistance as they may not notice any difference. Can be used for various situations, buying time for the user to prepare an attack, even hide themselves somewhere, maybe creating a clone to take their place as they hide underground, making their way to attack the opponent from below.
