when I did some research about this genjutsu I found that it's an anime-only (a pre-shippuden filler) technique which explains why I don't remember anything about seeing it. a genjutsu that very good abilities because it doesn't require handseals and can reach mid range. a good thing this genjutsu may make in battle, the opponent thinks its a real fire jutsu and attacks it wasting chakra and making an opening to attack from another direction. it's a good genjutsu in general and I'd like to use it in my future battles.

the first time this genjutsu was used on me I said that I felt the heat and the pain of getting burnt but there wasn't any bruises, not sure if this would work these days,. this is what I will say if I was cornered and caught in this genjutsu, but if I had time and tried to counter it using a suiton jutsu, I'd say the water jutsu passed through the fireball without any vapor released from it which means that the fireball isn't real and it's a genjutsu.

I'm not really sure that I understand what are you asking for but it got translated into my mind as "how can you deduce that it's a genjutsu?"

No handseals, the fireball appeared out of no where. But yeah just use a water technique, it will phase right though it, cancelling out the technique and the water will keep going towards your target.

We can move on.

(Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

With this one, look at your target; thus inserting your chakra into there brain, the target will see a clone run towards them, the clone explodes in a cloud of cherry blossoms, which in the end confuse the target, I can see this being a very obvious genjutsu, personally. There is no technique besides this and a few other genjutsu techniques, that use this method. But, I guess the good thing about this technique is that it does leave them open to an attack, and the range is good.

as you already said, this technique has good range and it's good for making an opening for attacks. it's also good for not requiring the performance of handseals at all. I actually don't know what I should say now.. *starts thinking* mmm.. *thinks more* mmmmm.. yeah, I got it. a bad thing that this illusionary clone explodes once it gets hear the target, it would be better if it tried to give the opponent a punch or two that would be easily dodged just for buying the user more time and for distraction before it explodes. it's also too bad that each usage makes only one clone. making more clones will buy more time for the user. I find this genjutsu useful but I won't use it on the same opponent twice.

Well done. Welcome to B-ranks, now!

(Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu) Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique
Type: Supplmentary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals, putting his opponents under a double layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.

Okay like it's parent technique; but a little different and better if used the right way. Perform the seals, with the last handseal placing my clone in the genjutsu, what's so good about this technique it's double layer genjutsu, so just think of the parent technique where it makes the target think the environment has changed; if the target breaks out of the first layer, the second one is still there, the target will think they have broken out of the gen completely but no! They still haven't, good technique over all, if you actually manage to pull it off!

I'm not really good telling who used what genjutsu and when since I'm not fan of genjutsu but I can tell you that this jutsu is pretty much cool one, first it's a two jutsus in one combo, but with double strength, since the original version is D-Rank and a single layer of this genjutsu is C-ranked makes this version much stronger. also using Kai will break the target out of the first genjutsu only leaving him trapped in the second one which is pretty much the main purpose of this technique. it's range is good but it requires the performance of three handsdeals. it's very useful technique and I really should try using it in my future battles.

Alrightly!

(Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

Okay so with this one, you wave your sword back and forth, by doing this, this initiates the genjutsu, the target will believe they are seeing multiple waving arms, using this technique places the target off guard so you can cut him down, downsides about this technique, requires a sword, and the range is meh. But could be handy here and there, I've never used it so I have yet to correctly get the full potential out of this technique.

yeah I remember seeing the eternal gennin old guy using on someone, or was it Hayate Gekkou? I can't remember. I actually see this technique to be useless and silly one, since if I'm fighting with someone using in a kenjutsu battle then seeing him waving his arm in a weird manner then some weird arms moving in the same manner appear out of nowhere, I would normally take few steps backwards till those weird things disappear. I won't ever try to use this technique at all.

With that next:

(Magen: Hanarasui) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death
Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40 due to stress on the mind
Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

So; this one, I think you just look at the target and thus places them in this gen, this technique will make the target think they are trapped in a large flower bud, which blows up. The target will think the explosion actually happening; leaving the target with metal damage on them. I personally find this technique really, really obvious.

I wonder which fodder believed this genjutsu to be real and got trapped in it >_> as you said it's pretty obvious to be a genjutsu unless the user got lucky enough to learn Passion's plant CE and has the ability to perform some plant related CEJ which then will make the opponent able to believe that genjutsu more. it's pretty much useless genjutsu unless I'm fighting an idiot and I won't use it at all.

(Magen: Jubaku Satsu) - Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, and appears to dissolve into a mist. Once they stealthily approach the target and get within short-range, the opponent feels completely immobilized, and believes they have been bound by a fast-growing tree and are unable to move. The user then appears as if they emerge from the tree to attack the target. In reality, the target is immobilized, allowing the user to strike or interrogate them.

This technique is best used with that water technique mist; you will perform a set of five seals from there, the target will see you dissolve into a mist, and once you get into short range, the target will think they are bound to a tree that just rapid grows out of the ground, then your target will see you coming out from the tree to attack them, which ever way you see fit, but outside the illusion; the target is unable to move, so allowing you to attack them or whatever. As I said before best used with a mist like technique so it's harder for them to get out of it.

Small little quiz question: What Naruto character used this? And, who did they use this against?

the technique is quite good, disappearing from the opponent's sight as if dissolving in mist, binding him/her then getting stabbed from behind. it requires handseals and short-ranged which is a disadvantage for a mid/long fighter as me. the technique is good for letting the user choose what to do with the bound target either attacking or using genjutsu or other means for interrogation. a bad thing about this genjutsu is being somehow obvious, dissolving suddenly in mist, a tree suddenly grows rapidly though the user may not be a mokuton user or has no mokuton-user allies around.

I'm sure it was Kurenai-sensei using it since I remember having a render for her on my computer emerging from a tree. I'm not sure about this but I think she used it on itachi when he came to Konoha in Part I to capture Naruto.

Correct! 10/10!

(Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

Similar to the last technique you learnt, but with small changes, as you just disappear I'd think like the latter. That starts the genjutsu, the target will see bean vines grow from the ground, and grabbing the target lifting them up into the air, then a bean pod emerges from the ground showing the caster, about to start the target. Seems what rather again obvious imo. I wouldn't use it, but if you were in a area with plants that big you could maybe pull it off.

sorry for being late, not enough free time nowadays.
This jutsu is basically a rip off from the previous jutsu as you said. this one is more obvious since there's no canon KG that allows the user to make bean vines grow except for Plant CE made by Passion and the tree version can be believed more if a moku user cast the genjutsu. also, the caster emerging from a bean pod is a bit.. ya know, fairy tale-ish :|
there's more possibilities in me using the tree version than this jutsu. oh yeah, and both version aren't useful at all if there's no soil under the target (I said soil because if I said solid ground it will include Ame's steel ground which isn't suitable for trees and bean vines' growth)

Good.

(Genjutsu: Oshitsubusu Hebi Kubire) - Illusion Technique: Crushing Snake Constriction
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user puts the opponent into a genjutsu which has snakes appear beneath the opponent to constrict them and with the users command, they crush the opponent. In reality, the opponent is immobilized and takes damage due to the stress on his mind.

With this one all you need to do is look at your target or clap your hands, either one. Once you do one of those two, your target will be placed in the gen, he will see snakes appear from the ground, and with your command the snakes start to crush and hold back the target from attacking you, and crushing them also. The target will take metal damage. This is one of the more used techniques, since it is handy and less obvious.

good binding jutsu, will be my first one to learn.. pretty obvious if the opponent has seen my two summoning contracts (snakes isn't one of them).. its range is pretty good.. it would totally fit a hebi saske bio.. I actually don't have much things to say about this jutsu beside saying it's cool and I would use it in the future, so I'll leave my reply like this and post it. ^^

Last B-rank till A-ranks!

(Genjutsu: Hanaoka) - Illusion Technique: Flower Hill
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user summons up illusionary purple flowers from the ground in front of them, damaging enemies with a chance to paralyze them.
Note: Paralysis lasts one turn.

This technique leaves people a bit unsure, I think you perform a single hand seal which then places the person in the genjutsu, they will see some purple flowers grow from the ground in front of them, somehow damaging them, with a chance of paralysing them. If they do get paralysed it last for one turn.
Range is meh, seems obvious unless you're in a forest or whatnot.
