The clone itself is still affected by genjutsu.... as it's incapacitated and can't perform anything due to it's chakra being controlled by the genjutsu user....

When kage bunshin die, do they give the physical wounds they suffered back to their caster? Of course not.

The clones will only give knowledge that they have acquired, they don't give anything back related to physical condition.

So yes a clone will protect against genjutus in the form of decoil... but the clone it self will be damaged and destroyed. Just like a clone eating a sword in the face will serv the role of decoil but the damage will not be given back to it's user.

Clones are decoils for genjutsu, they arent immune.

This guy says it all..

Keep in mind there bud, how many times Naruto's clones had their @$$es handed to them and naruto doesn't receive their "damage" ..lol many I tell ya

I can see where it would make sense Kakashi would have had some mental damage from itachi's Genjutsu, but then again when a shadow clone gets cut in half and "poofs" away the original shinobi doesn't get hurt as well, I guess they get the experience but not physical damage. Although the shinobi's chakra is drained from using the jutsu. I liked all the manga pages, thanks for the effort.

When I read the OP I was assuming that the experience while being under genjutsu would return to the original once it was dispersed, and experience can cause psychological damage, and the original would gain whatever disturbing experiences the clone had undergone.

I always wondered how a sharingan user wouldn't know it was a clone in the first place.

its a clone that tells you what happened it doesn't transfer any negative side effects back to the user. when a clone is stabbed does the user get stabbed? of course not.
