I was rereading the battle between itachi and kakashi in the beginning of shippuden and I remembered something...

remember when kakashi told naruto that shadow clones are different than the normal clones in that you're actually making duplicates of yourself instead of a fake clone
You must be registered for see images

then kakshi goes on to say that when the clones are destroyed or if the jutsu is undone, you'll instantly remember what the clones experienced.
You must be registered for see images

AND one more thing...
so shadow with clones your able to complete training faster
You must be registered for see images

shadow clone's can even be used to store chkara for use later
You must be registered for see images

so if im correct (which I am) you are able to mentally and physically remember things with shadow clones, but how come genjutsu doesn't affects the shadow clone method
You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

You must be registered for see images

kakashi should of became mentally fatigue after the clone was destroyed because logically he would of been experiencing the genjutsu because after the clone was destroyed, he should of been experiencing it/remebering it. plus itachi genjutsu's are feel very realistic, even minor ones. yet kakashi was fine afterwards, doesn't this mean that even though you remember the experiences of your shadow clone, you wont be affected by any genjutsu, could shadow clone's become a possible counter to genjutsu, or did kishi screw up on this one

Let me know what you think, feel free to agree and disagree with this:D

I love how one of the things you have posted to prove that clones aren't affected by Genjutsu is a page showing a clone under Genjutsu.

The clone itself is still affected by genjutsu.... as it's incapacitated and can't perform anything due to it's chakra being controlled by the genjutsu user....

When kage bunshin die, do they give the physical wounds they suffered back to their caster? Of course not.

The clones will only give knowledge that they have acquired, they don't give anything back related to physical condition.

So yes a clone will protect against genjutus in the form of decoil... but the clone it self will be damaged and destroyed. Just like a clone eating a sword in the face will serv the role of decoil but the damage will not be given back to it's user.

Clones are decoils for genjutsu, they arent immune.

His point is that according to all these other pages Shadow clones SHOULD be affected by genjutsu. However shadowclones doesn't feel pain, nor can they be hurt. That is both physically and mentally. Itachi couldn't mentally exhaust Kakashi's shadow clone to begin with, it was only a clone. That's why he didn't feel anything after it poped.

The clone was still trapped within the illusion nonetheless.. a clone trapped in a genjutsu is trapped in the genjutsu, meaning he can't do **** in the real world.

Well your right, and i think majority knew.

They can be caught in a genjutsu but it wouldn't affect them.

this isn't the point of the thread, I was trying to say that the clone user (not the clone it self) should be affected by the genjutsu after it is destroyed.....the pic was just so you could know that the CLONE was under genjustu the genjutsu and NOT the original

In his training Naruto was dividing his chakra with the bunsins(each bunsin takes half the chakra). They were training in chakra control and manipulation which required the release of chakra. The exhaustion Naruto felt came from the fact that his chakra was drained not from physical injuries.Physical injuries are not transmitted back to the caster.
Genjutsu works by disrupting the chakra flow not reducing it and manipulating the brain, affecting the senses and creating hallucinations. The traumatic effects are not transmitted back. When he talks about experience he is referring to the knowledge the gained not in the physical experience...In that was the case every injure a clone would get will be transited back to the caster...
Clones are not a very effective way to counter genjutsu since genjutsu techniques are usually made without one noticing and are instant.
