So I understand you are coming to me in order to learn how to control the minds of those who oppose you and blur their vision of reality?

Right then.
Genjutsu, or Illusionary Arts, unlike ninjutsu, don't produce a real, palpable, feasible effect; it produces an illusionary effect. With a specific KG however, the illusions can become so strong that the body will be fooled into mimicking in real life the fake effects its perceiving through the illusion. There exists two types of Genjutsu: the passive, non chakra fueled ones (basically illusions to our senses like visual paradoxes and such which have little use in the RP and can be easily overcome through experience and logic) and the active, chakra fueled ones. Within the active chakra fueled ones two subtypes exist: Dojutsu fueled Genjutsu and Normal Genjutsu.
Genjutsu works by using chakra to disturb the chakra flow of the opponent, specially in the brain, altering his senses. By doing this you can make him perceive any thing his senses are capable of: pain, heat, cold, tickles, iching, etc etc. A ninja can make the opponent taste, smell, feel, see or hear anything he wants. However, because this is done by using your chakra to manipulate his chakra flow, the ninja needs to be close or, many times, have direct eye contact or even physical contact. This is the main limitation of Genjutsu: range. The further you are away from your opponent, the harder it is to induce the fluctuation on his chakra flow to produce the genjutsu.
How exactly does it work? Well, every one has a balanced chakra flow. The chakra flows in a balanced combination of both physical and spiritual energies. The ratio between them vary from person to person (that is how each person has a different chakra signature) but its always calm and balanced. To produce a genjutsu, a ninja uses his chakra to disturb that balance in a controlled way. A fluctuation is created in the persons chakra "wave length" and makes it fluctuate in a given way. This produces the illusion by scrambling the users link between his Spirit and his Body which effectively is the link between his mind and his senses. To make your chakra be capable of doing the correct fluctuation, you need to use, most of the times, handseals. These help you mold and shape and focus your chakra to the correct wave length you want to induce, thus enabling you to use it to disturb the targets chakra flow.

Sorry I was just busy I haven't forgotten about you 
Sharingan cast Genjutsu through eye contact for the most part (Itachi cast one through his finger of course and Shisui's MS didn't require eye contact to take effect but those are exceptions due to high skill level) and by directly sending their chakra through the eyes into the brain they cause powerful illusions that can, unlike normal genjutsu actually cause their victims to act or feel certain ways due to the level of control they wield on your mind and chakra system. They can cause total separation from reality during their illusions (such as Naruto vs fake Itachi before Sakura released him from the illusion) and even go back through a connection from your genjutsu to reverse it on you (Itachi vs Kurenai)
Sharingan users (3t and above) can also hypnotize weaker opponents like Itachi did to the woman to distract Jiraiya which also requires eye contact.
But basically, their eyes let them streamline the chakra into your brain for more effective genjutsu and mind control. That's why its always a good idea to avoid eye contact with them unless you are totally immune to such effects (like me)

I would use this as a distraction, for the attack i really want to land. For example i'd use this with earth spikes technique, i'd use the earth spikes then this tech to make them "disappear". But in reality they'd still be there and would hit the opponent without him knowing it unless he released himself.

I catch the scroll and begin to study the map of the human brain and chakra network. After listening to how the jutsu works, i begin to focus on the location around myself and your clone. I then begin to build up a steady flow of chakra, using the thoughts in my mind, i send my chakra at your clone and into his brain. More so the area that controls his sense of vision. By disrupting his chakra, i cause him to see the ground we stand on turn into mud.

I quickly perform 5 hand seals then release chakra into my opponent's body, controlling his vision and making it appear as if i dissolved into flower petals.
After throwing the paper bomb and trapping the opponent in the genjutsu I'd use hidden mist jutsu to create even more confusion as the explosion goes off. Using the explosion as a distraction, I'd appear behind the opponent for the kill.

I perform the tiger hand seal causing the opponent to be trapped in a illusion where he sees a clone of me running at him. While in reality i simply took an explosive tag out and threw it at him and detonated it.

Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.
Using your chakra to upset the enemy's chakra flow make them see multiple clones of yourself start to crawl out of the area. Then when the clones attack and are hit they seem to split into more clones afterwards. With the sheer number of illusionary clones you can hide real clones or yourself in the group and then attack making it harder to tell which ones are real.

You remember that old episode of Naruto, where he is in that forest with the guy that stabbed iruko? I'd have clones pop out of the trees like that and we'd all attack the opponent at once, making it seem more realistic. He'd have to hit them to get them off him, and as a result more would be created, causing more stress and confusion. Then after a while an opening would be created in which I'd hit the opponent with a strong close ranged move.

I release my chakra into the area, disturbing my opponent's chakra making it appear as if multiple clones emerge from the trees surrounding us.

Using the whirlwind of leaves to my advantage, I'd use that time to move to the opponent's blind side for an attack. Or i could layer this genjutsu with the servant technique. As the whirlwind settles, I'd throw a paper bomb and do that genjutsu. It would seem as if the clone was the thing the opponent feared the most.

I perform two hand seal and release chakra into the opponent, causing a whirlwind of leaves to kick up. As the whirlwind ceases, a demon appears before the opponent scaring him.

Thats it for Ds so on to C ranks. You'll want to learn one of the main ways of releasing genjutsu so we'll start with Kai.
( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40

Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.
After discovering you are trapped in an illusion, form your hands into the tiger seal and then concentrate on your chakra flow and force it to fully stop for just a moment and then release a spike of chakra to restart it and flush out any foreign chakra disrupting your chakra balance. Your chakra then resets back to its natural flow.
Since you are a Sage you can dispel S ranks and below. This can also be used on teammates/clones by forming one hand into a Seal of Confirmation (one half of the tiger seal) while placing your hand/body part on your teammate to inject your chakra into their system and perform the flush yourself.

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique

Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.
Send your chakra into the guy's head and disrupt their sense of balance in their brain so they think they are traveling straight but are actually moving in a curved path as to walk in a circle endlessly.
( Genjutsu: Jinmon ) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation

Description: The user of this technique, upon casting on a stationary opponent with physical contact with them, is able to convince the enemy to give away information. However, this will only work on ninja two ranks lower and below than the caster.
Have an enemy held still (preferably already defeated) and hold your hand on their head and send chakra into them to bend their will into giving away info. Can be difficult to get through mental blocks if they have any but other then that rather one sided.
