So, what do you know of the Illusionary Arts?

As a question was asked to me I take few seconds to remember what I was reading few days back about genjutsu and then start:

Illusionary Arts also known as genjutsu are in some way similar to ninjutsu.They as well as ninjutsu need handseals and chakra to be performed but genjutsu does not make any physical damage. The thing with genjutsu is that it is playing with the mind of opponent once casted on them. This tecniques manipulate flow of chakra in opponent's brain while playing with opponents senses.Usuly for genjutsu user must have prices chakra control.
What genjutsu do is that it is giving illusions to opponent making them in the end unconscious or unable to move if they can not get out of it. Although genjutsu does not make any actual physical damage when person is in the state of genjutsu I as a caster have a chance to attack and make actualy physical damage.
There are few ways for overcoming genjutsu.You can distrub your chakra flow,bite yourself on a lip,you could sting yourself with kunai.One of the most powerful genjutsu known as Tsukuyomi can not be broke unless you posses Uchiha blood.While countering genjutsu every person needs to focus on the smalest of details.From looking how surrounding around them is looking,hearing sounds. Seeing if there is a puf or seals if some kind of summoning comes. Feeling the heat of fire tecnique.For genjutsu you can not just assume something you need to find the way to come out of it.Sharingan users are able to cast genjutsu via eye contact.

Very good, here is a fleshed out description of Genjutsu if you'd like to read it for a better idea on how it actually works

Genjutsu, or Illusionary Arts, unlike ninjutsu, don't produce a real, palpable, feasible effect; it produces an illusionary effect. With a specific KG however, the illusions can become so strong that the body will be fooled into mimicking in real life the fake effects its perceiving through the illusion. There exists two types of Genjutsu: the passive, non chakra fueled ones (basically illusions to our senses like visual paradoxes and such which have little use in the RP and can be easily overcome through experience and logic) and the active, chakra fueled ones. Within the active chakra fueled ones two subtypes exist: Dojutsu fueled Genjutsu and Normal Genjutsu.

Genjutsu works by using chakra to disturb the chakra flow of the opponent, specially in the brain, altering his senses. By doing this you can make him perceive any thing his senses are capable of: pain, heat, cold, tickles, iching, etc etc. A ninja can make the opponent taste, smell, feel, see or hear anything he wants. However, because this is done by using your chakra to manipulate his chakra flow, the ninja needs to be close or, many times, have direct eye contact or even physical contact. This is the main limitation of Genjutsu: range. The further you are away from your opponent, the harder it is to induce the fluctuation on his chakra flow to produce the genjutsu.

How exactly does it work? Well, every one has a balanced chakra flow. The chakra flows in a balanced combination of both physical and spiritual energies. The ratio between them vary from person to person (that is how each person has a different chakra signature) but its always calm and balanced. To produce a genjutsu, a ninja uses his chakra to disturb that balance in a controlled way. A fluctuation is created in the persons chakra "wave length" and makes it fluctuate in a given way. This produces the illusion by scrambling the users link between his Spirit and his Body which effectively is the link between his mind and his senses. To make your chakra be capable of doing the correct fluctuation, you need to use, most of the times, handseals. These help you mold and shape and focus your chakra to the correct wave length you want to induce, thus enabling you to use it to disturb the targets chakra flow.

Now then, *throws you a scroll that contains a map of the human brain and the chakra circulatory system.* We will start with basic illusions. Imagine a change to this training field. It could be as simple as the ground changing color, trees falling down, or the entire thing changing to a desert or something. Send a small amount of your chakra to the part of the brain that understands what the eyes see and disrupt it so their brain believes they are seeing the change that you want.

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique

Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

Thank you for that text it helped me out understand some thing that I wasn't sure about.

First I start out by imagining how terrain is going to look. I imagine trees going in circle,grass becoming pink color and everything is getting neon color of their base color. After doing so I send a little bit of chakra in direction of my opponents eyes making him see what I just imagined.

I think that I would use this a genjutsu when I am 1-2 meters from my opponent after doing so I would use some jutsu that is fast to kill my opponent.
Ways to counter:
Butting my tang because it is easily recognized and keeping long distance

It's true this can be hard to weave into a fight considering it causes changes to the terrain and a lot of people doubt when sudden, soundless changes occur especially on wide scale. Small Scale use is more believable like you said.

- Insert info - one more thing that needs to be payed attention to is 5 hand seals that needs to be made just for this jutsu to be performed making it very slow jutsu to use.

Combinations-strategies
Like I said last time I would also use this jutsu in short range,the thing that I need to worry about is 5 hand seals that needs to be made and reaction of my opponent. After using it in short range I can use anything that can make damage to my opponent.

Ways to counter
Because the petals of flowers are going to cover my vision and my opponent is going to dissolve into petals of flowers which is weird and unusual I can easily either bight my tang or use Kai.

I start out by gathering chakra and at the same time make sequence of 5 hand seals,after doing so I sent chakra into the visual center of opponent making him see me dissolving into the shower of cherry blossom petals which are swiriling around in circles and at the same time blocking his vision.

Description: The user does one handseal and throws a paper bomb at the enemy. The enemy, trapped in a genjutsu will see a clone of the user advancing upon him. As the paper bomb reaches the enemy, it explodes

form a single seal *demonstrates* and then throw a paper bomb (kunai or non) at the enemy. The genjutsu that is effecting them will change their perception of you throwing a paper bomb to you making a clone that runs at them very quickly. Once the tag/clone reaches them it detonates.

Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

Send your chakra into the opponent to cause them to see multiple fake clones that sprout from the surroundings with a special added ability that if they are struck they simply become more clones (like Pain's Giant Dog) they can't actually do any damage since they are only illusions but you can mix in real clones and yourself as a distraction and hit and run style assault.

- Although it is a genjutsu,you are going to trow a paper bomb towards your opponent,which in contact with him is going to explode and make actual damage -

It can be used to actualy hide what are you training to trow at your opponent
Ways to counter: Either by using Kai or I can actualy trow something at clone,and make paper bomb explde

I start by gathering chakra and at the same time I preform one hand seal.As I do so i start channeling chakra trough out my body and a little bit more towards my brain.When I do that I think about kunai changing into a clone of mine and trow a kunai towards your clone.As I trow a kunai,your clone sees me running towards him.

- This is a technique that is used to exhaust your opponent -
- If opponent touches one of my imaginairy clones they are going to multiply -

Combinations-strategies
I would use it to exhaust my opponent if he is not stupid enough to think it is possible for my clones to multiply on hit.
Also It is best used on low range,like 2-3 meters from your opponent because you are unabling your opponent to react when he comes out of genjutsu
Ways to counter:
Using Kai.

I start with gathering chakra,and when I finnish with that I start channeling it to all parts of my body.While channeling most part of chakra I am actualy sending towards my brain and focusing it there. When finnished with channeling and molding chakra I start thinking of how I look and how my clone is going to look.After doing so I cast the illusinary technique towards your clone and starts making him think that clones of mines are going towards him,as your clone sees that there are multiply clones coming at him he trows a bunch of kunai's making my illusinary clones muliply

Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

Form two seals *demonstrates* and control the target's vision to make it seem as if a hurricane of leaves whips up around them, after the short swirld dies down from behind the leaves they will see something that they fear the most and shocks them like the love of their life on the verge of death or something like that (Kakashi used this on Sakura if you didn't remember)

I would start by performing 2 requiredhand seals and as I am doing so I am molding chakra and channeling it through my whole body and most of the chakra I am focusing in my brain. As I finnish up with channeling chakra I firstly think about me transforming into the huge amount of leafs that start to swirl around. Now I send chakra towards the eyes of my opponent because this is an ocular technique. Firstly I distrupt my opponents chakra system and make him see leafs that I've imagined in my head. After that is done I send my chakra to the brain of my opponent so I can find out what is the thing that they fear the most. Finding what their bigest fear is enables me to make them see it up close.

- It is only good to perform a sudden attack or have some more time to perform jutsu that needs bigger amount of handseals. -

Combinations-strategies
Well this technique is best to be used when you want to perform a technique that needs time to be performed lika a lot of handseals and such. Mostly usable when you are realy close to your opponent to create an opening.

Just using Kai or chipping a finger.

Good, now that you know a few simple mind tricks we should make sure you know how to break genjutsus yourself without wounding yourself each time.

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

Now, being an S-class ninja, you are able to dispel up to B rank genjutsu. You can do this by forming the tiger seal and focusing your mind on your chakra flow and stopping it completely for just a moment and then sending a surge of chakra to restart the flow, flushing the pipes if you will, of any foreign chakra and resetting the chakra flow to it's natural way.
