Kakuzu looks at both of the shinobi before him staring into the distance...in the wrong direction.

Be more attentive to your surroundings, I could of been an enemy ninja. Anyway, tell me what you know of Genjutsu ?

Genjutsu works by using chakra to disturb the chakra flow of the opponent, specially in the brain, altering his senses. By doing this you can make him perceive any thing his senses are capable of pain, heat, cold, tickles, itching, yada, yada yada. A ninja can make the opponent taste, smell, feel, see or hear anything he wants. However, because this is done by using your chakra to manipulate his chakra flow, the ninja needs to be rather close or, many times, have direct eye contact or even physical contact.

Genjutsu user chakra to disturb the chakra of your enemies, making them feel or see things different. Tricking the opponent into reacting in a way to give yourself an opening to finish them, though sometimes genjutsu can be abnormal and easily sussed out by the enemy. Also depending on the strength of the genjutsu (Rank) makes it harder for the opponent to release without causing too much pain to themselves, unless they use kai.

Alright, your current understanding of genjutsu is substantial and is a good base to work from. Genjutsu relies on manipulating your opponent's perception of reality for whatever effect the user wishes to create. Genjutsu seeks to govern over your opponent's five main senses (Sight, Hearing, Smell, Touch and Taste), with Sight and Touch being the most commonly used. I like to think of it as the art of deception, a way of probing your foe into acting in certain ways and more importantly, avoiding certain actions. Genjutsu can also be used on the user's themselves to aid them in various ways.

Now, I want you to tell me how it works, how it affects your opponent, how you would overcome it in battle and what methods of releasing them you know of. Make this as detailed as possible, I need to gauge your current level of knowledge on the matter.

Genjutsu can affect my opponent by making him feel pain, or seeing something that is not really there; deception as you said. This can also cause a stress of the mind and make them faint or like in one genjutsu I know of will make the opponent fall asleep.
The Methods of releasing I know of is Nagashi, because it's a full body technique and will surge lightning chakra throughout, it will stop the genjutsu chakra flow and there for release you from the illusion. You can also you Kai, which is a concentration of your chakra to disturb the other and momentarily stopping it to release yourself from the illusion. And the final one I know of is pain, depending on how high ranked the genjutsu is the more pain needs to be applied.

Pretty much said how it works and how it affects the opponent but I guess I will say it again...

Genjutsu works by using chakra to disturb the chakra flow of the opponent, specially in the brain, altering his senses. By doing this you can make him perceive any thing his senses are capable of pain, heat, cold, tickles, iching, visions, sounds, etc. A ninja can make the opponent taste, smell, feel, see or hear anything he wants. However, because this is done by using your chakra to manipulate his chakra flow, the ninja needs to be close or, many times, have a direct link towards the opponent such as eye contact or whatnot.

As for overcoming a genjutsu? Well I would use one of the three ways to break out of one if I ever get caught, but first I would take in all of my surroundings and examine my opponent(s) carefully before the fight even starts. I would do this because if I were to be caught in a genjutsu that affects my vision or something I would notice it right away as I would see something unfamiliar that wasn't around before hand. With me already knowing I have been trapped in a genjutsu I would use one of the three things:
Pain: When using pain to get out of a genjutsu you have to use a certain amount to break from different levels of Genjutsu.

D-rank Gen: inflicting small pain like in biting your finger to summon a summoning
C-rank Gen: Biting your lip or getting hit with a low base physical attack like a punch or so
B-rank Gen: A more powerful physical attack than previous
A-rank Gen: Stabbing oneself, breaking small bones, shocking oneself, etc.
S-rank Gen: Breaking bones or biting off the tongue something along those lines
F-rank Gen: Well you're just F'ed >.>

Chakra surge:
Kai is one of the main things people use to get out of a genjutsu as this technique causes oneself to forcefully stop their chakra flow and then begin it again causing a spike to form in their own chakra breaking them from the genjutsu. Though when doing Kai the user has to spend the same amount of chakra the opponent used in the genjutsu to break him self out of it. Another way to cause a chakra surge is using a technique that produces a high chakra flow into your chakra system like the most used jutsu, Nagashi. Though when using something else besides Kai like Nagashi you have to remember that it will only release you from genjutsus that are one rank or lower from the actual rank of the jutsu you used to free yourself. Since Nagashi is A-rank it will only break you free from B-rank and lower genjutsus.

Foreign chakra:
This can be done by an ally who is capable of using the chakra transfer technique or by entering, for example, sage mode or being a jinchuriki in control of your bijuu or releasing a Curse Mark. The reasoning is that as foreign chakra enters your system or another energy (natural energy), your chakra flow becomes altered and unbalanced and thus releases the genjutsu.

Ah, an impressive display of knowledge, since you already know so much about Genjutsu this will be a relatively short process. However, since your description lacked in comparison to your partner, I'd like you to read the following transcript to get you up to speed, Lonely Assassin. Albel, feel free to look at the transcript also since there's some information about different release methods you may find useful.

The first step in realizing a genjutsu is observing for anything overly-obvious or something which would naturally probe your character's suspicion. In battle, I want you to observe even the smallest of disturbances in your surroundings and the slightest inconsistencies. I want you to notice, if a tree begins coiling around you, does it produce growing sounds as it emerges ? If a fireball is shot towards you, does the heat of the technique resonate from it and make you feel like the temperature is rising ? If you see an illusionary clone walking towards you, does it bend the grass when it walks ? If you get burnt by something, does the wound sizzle as the burn is inflicted ? Does the water beneath your feet ripple when you walk, or make any splashing sounds ?

Pay very close attention to the senses a technique affects, its fundamental to breaking a genjutsu. If a technique doesn't specify the senses it affects, make sure you don't assume anything. Find other ways of seeing through the technique. Does the illusion respect the laws of reality ? Does the illusion distort happen to abruptly and distorts the natural occurrence of events ? I can't teach you how to realize every genjutsu, I can only teach you the concept of doing so. The rest is up to how much you take away from this training. One thing to bare in mind is, when you're trying to realize genjutsu, don't come up with extremely complicated thought processes or anything which wouldn't be realistic in the heat of a battle. I don't want you to "god-mod" or try to use knowledge your character doesn't have to break Genjutsus. You must be realistic and legitimate in the way you break genjutsus. I'd hate to be that guy who teaches his students to metagame their way out of illusions >_>

Additional Information I'd like you to read
1) Kai Release Method

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

Using Kai to release Genjutsu is the simplest and arguably most common method. After performing a single handseal, the user will stop their chakra flow for a moment before spiking it to purge the opponent's foreign chakra from your body, hence releasing the illusionary technique. It can range from a C-Rank to an S-Rank technique, depending on the rank of the genjutsu you're trying to break. If an A-Rank Genjutsu is cast on you, you'll use an A-Rank Kai to release the technique. Keep in mind that even if you learn Kai, to break higher ranking genjutsus e.g. A-Ranks, you have to be of the right ninja rank (determined by posts). Also, it requires a single handseal to perform and so this technique can't be used against Genjutsus which paralyze/immobilize your body.

Other things to remember is, its a really uncreative method and some fights have rules stating either "one kai per battle" or "No Kai at all". Make sure to watch out for rules like this and don't become too dependent on using it. I don't think i've ever used Kai xD

2) Pain Release Method
Like you all correctly stated, Pain Release is the quickest but the most consequential of all Genjutsu Release methods. You can inflict this pain upon yourself in various ways e.g. removing a kunai to stab your arm or biting off your tongue. Usually people attempt to simply bite their tongue/the inside of their cheek but this seems like an invalid method.

1) Biting your tongue without removing it will break D-Rank Genjutsu at most
2) Biting off your tongue seems like a disgraceful/embarrassing method to use. Especially if you have to spit it out in front of your opponent. It will make them feel like they have the upper hand
3) The severe blood loss caused by biting off your tongue will give you about three turns to live (possibly less).
4) You can't talk anymore xD

And so as I say to all my students, never release a Genjutsu through biting off your tongue.

This is the chart of releasing genjutsus and the amount of pain you need to inflict on yourself:

D-Ranks: Biting your tongue or equivalent
C-Rank: Cutting yourself slightly e.g. piercing your skin with a kunai
B-Ranks: Small stab wound or equivalent
A-Ranks: You need to stab/inflict serious harm to a limb or equivalent
S-Ranks: You need to lose limb or inflict equivalent pain

Another nice way I learnt from Better to release Genjutsus is using the C-Rank Stone Spikes technique. When you realize a Genjutsu, whether it paralyzes you or not, channel your doton chakra into the ground and cause a single spike of earth to emerge. Angle the spike the depending on how much pain you want to inflict.

(Doton: Ganchūsō) - Earth Release: Stone Spikes
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30
Description: This technique lets the user create a few rock pillars that will protrude from the ground to skew the target. The rock pillars will even pass through obstacles to reach their target

If you're breaking a A-Rank or below gen, angle the spike to strike into your thigh or another part of your non-dominant leg.

If you're breaking S-Rank gen (and have no other options), angle the spike to emerge directly beneath one of your legs, to completely crush it up to the knee region. This will keep you standing up and block blood from gushing out of your body.

This method inflicts serious harm on to you and is only recommended if you have no other options. Sometimes this is the best method to use and so its better to take many wounds rather than fail to counter a Genjutsu. Also, this isn't a possible method to use when you're standing on water or a similar terrain. If you have a bio which can heal or take such wounds e.g. Hidan, Kakuzu, a medical shinobi, using Pain to release genjutsu is very tactical indeed. You don't waste a move countering one of their techniques by making full use of your bio's capabilities.

3) Full body surges
A full body surge is basically a technique which releases/leeks chakra out of every chakra point on your body at the same time. This sudden burst of chakra purges any foreign chakra residing in the body. A full body surge will break Genjutsu of one rank lower than it e.g. an A-Rank Surge breaks B-Rank and below Genjutsus. New rpers often only associate the word "surge" which lightning techniques, when in actuality all elements have potential to be full body surges.

Canon Full body surges
Nagashi (A-Rank)
Earth Release Armour (B-Rank)
Earth Spear (B-Rank)
Lightning Strike Armour (C-Rank)
Hardening Technique (S-Rank)
Depth Charge (B-Rank)

We'll be using the following template for all of the Genjutsu techniques we learn. You will learn two at a time, testing each and every Genjutsu you learn on eachother. Whilst under the effects of the Genjutsu, your partner will recite out loud how he/she can logically deduce why they think they're within a Genjutsu. Once they do this, they will successfully break out of the illusion and cast the other in the same Genjutsu. The faster you take to this and the more detailed your replies means we'll breeze through Genjutsu.

I like the earth spike example a lot. I never thought about using that jutsu like that I'll have to keep this in mind in case I ever have to use it like that. Oh yeah I also forgot to say or well we both for got to say that there is actually a fourth...well kind of a fourth way to break out of a genjutsu, but only those with the sharingan like me can do. Since many people don't have it or have yet to unlock it, I guess it wouldn't be called an official fourth way of breaking genjutsu but it is still a way. The sharingan depending on how many tomoes the user has unlocked will allow them to pierce right through B-rank and below visual genjutsus, and a good chunk of the canon genjutsus are visual related. All they have to do is notice that they are in a genjutsu through the normal ways like you stated and then their eyes do the rest of the work. And to me I think it is one of the best ways of breaking out of a genjutsu because you don't have to hurt your self, use a jutsu slot, or even cause a spike or surge in your chakra.

And no questions, lets begin.

You will have to be resoruceful in the way you break Genjutsu technqiues. Pain Release isn't the only way of breaking illusions. Not to mention our training only goes up to A-Ranks, meaning there will be no need for the loss of limbs.

Alright then, time to move onto the techniques.

( Magen: Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu ) - Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10 (+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

For the first technique, I'd like you to cast your partner in a genjutsu which changes a single feature about the battlefield itself e.g. makes a wall rise up, creates a pond or water source and etc. Quite a basic technique, doesn't require much explanation.

Key Points: Cannot effect things which aren't considered the terrain e.g. masking the fact you've thrown a kunai. Also, pay very close attention to wording. This jutsu only changes the way the terrain looks, meaning no sounds and smells are produced along with it. Also, any features you create, are of course intangible.

( Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.

After doing that, I'd like you to perform a string of five handseals to cause your partner to see you "dissolve" into a cloud of cherry blossoms. These same cherry blossom petals will move towards the opponent and cloud his/her vision, allowing you to mask your movements in reality.

Key Points: Lower ranking techniques tend to control less senses, this probably controls the sense of sight *hint hint*

Now, follow my instructions, fill out the template and no one will get hurt xD.

I focus my chakra so that is makes it's way into Albel's own chakra flow and disrupting it, circulating it through the brain. I change change terrain in front of him by creating a rock wall which looks like it rises from the ground to block off the view of me and him.

Combinations you could make with this jutsu:
When creating this fake wall, It can conceal my presence and so then I can either sink into the ground and make a clone to look like it's actually me that didn't move. I can also make hand seals and my opponent wouldn't know it, causing a surprise attack.

Your reasoning on why you would deduce it to be a Genjutsu:
Well I would try and get rid of this 'wall' and attack it will some ninjutsu, obviously the attack would go through it and I would then know it was a genjutsu. Also the fact that seeing it rise from the ground but no noise is produced is a big hint.

Your preferred method of release:
My preferred method to release would be to just simply bite my tongue or lip, to cause some pain to release me from this tech.

Rate the technique out of ten:

Seven

Questions about the technique (Optional):

If you created a pond of water, would it look like objects could fall or enemies (clones, partner, summon etc) could fall into it, further tricking your opponent?

--------------------------

I focus my chakra and perform five hand seals to amplify it and to infiltrate Albel's chakra flow with my own chakra, causing him to me dissolve into a some flower petals that swarm around him and cover his sight so he cannot see what is happening around him.

Combinations you could make with this jutsu:
After using this technique I could move quickly to another spot and attack him. There is away to further confuse your opponent by speaking aloud that you are doing the substitution technique he may think you've substituted with some flower petals, especially if he's a thicko xD.

Your reasoning on why you would deduce it to be a Genjutsu:
The fact that you see him dissolve into petals is rather odd, and then when the petals swarm around, you can try and blow them away and the attack will go through again, not affecting the petals and that's when you would know.

Your preferred method of release:
Again simply biting my lip or tongue, no need for any extremes just yet.

If you created a pond of water, would it look like objects could fall or enemies (clones, partner, summon etc) could fall into it, further tricking your opponent?

The water isn't actually there, so this isn't possible. Also, it will not ripple or produce any splashing sounds, so it'll be largely obvious that its not real.

( Genjutsu: Kasumi ) - Illusion Technique: Servant
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user does one handseal and throws a paper bomb at the enemy. The enemy, trapped in a genjutsu will see a clone of the user advancing upon him. As the paper bomb reaches the enemy, it explodes

For this next technique, I'd like you to perform a single handseal before tossing a paper bomb towards the your opponent. The person you tapped in the genjutsu will instead see an illusionary clone of the user walking towards them. In battle, you'd detonate the paper bomb as it reaches your target, however since this is training do not detonate the explosive tags. We don't want any of you getting killed

Key Points: Its an illusionary clone, gives you a good idea of how you to realize this Genjutsu.

( Kasumi Jūsha no Jutsu ) - Mist Servant Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

Following a similar concept, this Genjutsu also causes the user to see illusionary clones. Focus your chakra into your target's mind, causing them to see multiple clones of the user emerging from terrain-based features e.g. rocks, trees. If any of the clones are attacked, they'll appear to multiply, meaning it will seem as the opponent is not making in progress in defeating them. You can also co-ordinate and time your attacks with the clones to add an element of realism to the technique.

Key Points: Like the last technique, these clones do not disturb the terrain since they're purely illusionary. If you cause them to emerge from water, the water source will not ripple or produce any splashing sounds. Its best used in a noisy area (e.g. on a water source in stormy conditions).

I make a hand seal and release my chakra so that it invades my opponents, making him see things he wouldn't normally. In this case he sees my clone run towards him to fight him. After performing the first hand seal I throw a paper bomb towards my gen partner (that doesn't seem to exist anymore <.< >.>) and it splats him in the face but doesn't explode, cause that would be murder.

Combinations you could make with this jutsu:

Well the best thing to do is make a clone first, or else it'll just appear out of no where, So when you make the genjutsu handseal you can say "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu" to trick your opponent. You could also use it in conjunction with a wind jutsu making the explosive tagged kunai go faster and deadlier towards the target.

Your reasoning on why you would deduce it to be a Genjutsu:

Well if a clone randomly appears without the user doing shit, it'd be weird, you'll know it's a gen. Then you'll definitely know it's a gen when you attack the clone and the attack goes straight through.

Your preferred method of release:

Same as above, nothing too fatal yet, just bite my tongue or kunai to the back of the hand though not too deep.

Rate the technique out of ten:

Questions about the technique (Optional):

None <.<

___________________________________

I release my chakra, and it travels into the target's chakra system, taking over his mind so that he will see things he shouldn't be. Clones start to rise from the ground all around him, some of them emerge from the trees nearby, and they start to attack him but land no hits on him, and I'm not gonna beat my practice partner up U_U

Combinations you could make with this jutsu:

Well like said you can sneak around and attack the opponent as the illusionary clones attack, and create real clones to do this too. In my opinion there is little to do.

Your reasoning on why you would deduce it to be a Genjutsu:

Well the clones splitting isn't valid, I guess if you let them attack you and they did no damage you have your reason, and take note of where they emerge from.

Your preferred method of release:

Same as above.

Sorry, I don't know where exactly it featured. I never saw much of part 1 naruto <_>

( Magen: Narakumi ) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

Now I want you to perform a string of two handseals before focusing your chakra into your target's mind. Utilize this chakra to cause him/her to see a swirl of leaves surrounding them, before making it die down and fall away. A few seconds after this, your target will see an image of whatever they fear most in this world, severely shocking them and potentially causing them to faint. However, most ninja are strong hearted and so won't faint as a result of this jutsu, bare that in mind.

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

An exceedingly simple technique, but most tend to misunderstand or over-complicate it. If your opponent is running towards you in a straight line (if they do not specify, assume its a linear path towards you), you can cast them in this genjutsu. The genjutsu will cause them to see themselves continuing on in this straight line path, when in reality they're running around in circles and not covering any ground.

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40

The technique itself is a basic chakra surge which can dispel up to S-Rank genjutsus if your rank permits it. As it requires a single handseal, any genjutsus which hinder your upper body maneuverability or cause paralysis which affects your arms can't be dispelled by this method. Genjutsu is commonly used to paralyze or prohibit certain movements e.g. handseals and so more often that not, this technique won't be a viable method of release. Personally, I don't use the jutsu that often since I like to think I would cope perfectly fine without it since there was once a limit on how many times this jutsu could be used per battle. It seems like its seen as the easy way out of genjutsus and the least creative method possible. However, sometimes its the best option to take as pain release is problematic for most bios and this technique can be used to free team mates from an illusion.

Key Points: Make sure to watch the rules for battles very closely, many of them say "No Sub/No Kai".

I perform two hand seals and send my chakra straight into my opponents chakra stream, the chakra flowing through their brain I sabotage it to make them see things that aren't really there, a bunch of leaves swirl around him and then fade away an image of their worst fear pops up in front of him attempting to scare the bajesus outta him ._.

Combinations you could make with this jutsu:

Well if their worst fear was toads I could summon an actual one and once they have release from their genjutsu they will see another and get scared even more lmao.

Your reasoning on why you would deduce it to be a Genjutsu:

The swirl of leaves may give it away as the opponent may attempt to touch them and they'll falls through his hand, also the fact that the creature would make no noise?

Your preferred method of release:

Like all the other D-Rank ones, slight bite of the tongue but not bite off. <.< little cut or something

Rate the technique out of ten:

8 can cause them too faint GG

Questions about the technique (Optional):

NAHAHAHA

I Channel my chakra into my targets body as he begins to move in a line straight towards me, I get into his brain with my chakra and change it so that he sees himself going forwards when in actual fact he starts to run in circles and keeps doing so when he becomes exhausted.

Combinations you could make with this jutsu:

If I had a clone out I'd use this gen and as he begins to turn I could use earth spikes to pop outta the ground as he begins to run in a circle, making it a little end game hehe

Your reasoning on why you would deduce it to be a Genjutsu:

Well you're gonna reach your target some time or another, you will be able to tell cause you'll never get to him or go right through him

Your preferred method of release:

Same as above.

Questions about the technique (Optional):

Can you confirm me the "Your reasoning on why you would deduce it to be a genjutsu? Im not too sure.

I Am put into a genjutsu, I manage to figure out what it is after a while of figuring, so I make a hand seal an concentrate my chakra when a certain part i concentrate on makes its way into my brain I stop it for a second and release and let it flow again, this release me from the genjutsu I was put under, there was a sexy naked lady in my room, that would never happen I thought to myself with a little chuckle.

lel

I rate this tech 10/10

Really sorry about this late reply, I've had a lot on my plate. I'll speed up my replies from here on out

Hm, usually its better to avoid this genjutsu entirely by running in a non-linear path e.g. a zigzag-like motion. However, if you do happen to be caught in it, you could simply use the reasoning you stated or use thrown objects to decipher you're moving in circles, since more likely than not the object will go off on angled flight path, clearly showing you're not moving in a straight line. I particularly like Lili-Chwan's reasoning on how to realize Genjutsus such as these.

With that being said, it can't be used if your opponent is walking towards you it requires something up to mid range that conceals what's past that. Like a forest, or even if the opponent goes underground. Else the opponent will clearly see a distortion between the area not affected by the genjutsu and the area that is. In the manga, that distortion was hidden by the forest, so they could wander around in circles that the distance wouldn't change. They noticed it because the tower they were looking for, in the distance, never changed place (That's the distortion).

With that being said, though, case you can't find any distortion, you'll have to realize through a certain fog in your brain, signifying that someone is messing up with your head. A genjutsu master would have no problem figuring out after a couple of seconds. The transition is sloppy, and thus, someone fully aware of their surroundings, will quickly notice the trick. (It is a C rank afterall). Just look at the surroundings and you'll find that, as you walk, the images seem to distort. This can't be reached as quickly if you're running low on chakra, or if you're tired, etc. But if it's the opening move, it's really easy to break out of it (sometimes).
( Genjutsu: Jinmon ) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: The user of this technique, upon casting on a stationary opponent with physical contact with them, is able to convince the enemy to give away information. However, this will only work on ninja two ranks lower and below than the caster.

This technique is rather basic and will require a target far weaker than you who is unable to move/paralyzed. For that reason, you'll be testing on my lab rat aka Margarine. After I paralyze him through the use of an unfocused burst of electricity, I want you to place your dominant palm on his forehead before focusing your chakra into his mind to "convince" him to reveal information. Usually Genjutsus cannot control the opponent's actions (except Sharingan gens), however this technique has many requirements to be able to do so. The opponent must be much weaker than you, physical contact is required which amplifies its effects and they must be weakened enough to be incapable of movements altogether.

Key Points: Not particularly useful for battle, however its a nice rp tactic to use in the Ninja World.

( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

For this technique, I want you to cast your target in an illusion where they see a massive blast of fire descending from the sky above. This Genjutsu only affects the sense of sight, meaning the fireball can easily be distinguished from the real thing e.g. its devoid of heat, sounds of crackling and the characteristic smell of fire/the smoke it produces.

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

Finally, I want you to cast your opponent in a Genjutsu where they see a illusionary clone of you charging towards them. Once the clone gets within range of them, it jumps up and explodes into a cloud of cherry blossoms which masks their sight and disorientates them.

Key Points: Realizing this genjutsu relies primarily on the fact that its an "illusionary clone *hint hint*
