Minato is more of an all around genius but every genius has their strong suit minato's jutsu making, shikamaru's strategist. Minato is a better genius, because of he is all around, and he learned a lot from the academy shikamaru being lazy didn't he failed a lot. Anyways so minato wins he is all around but specialy known for jutsu making, and the academy thing is correct he graduated top of his class shikamaru not so much.

If you are knowledged in a lot more field you are smarter that is what I'm trying to say I never said minato is better and it all depends on your perspective of the word better right now since u think smart beats power and everything else then better genius is okay to say

Yea shikamaru the best at strategy but what else minato is very talented in strategy, and quick thinking but he learned more at the academy, he makes jutsu's he makes freaki jutsu's shikamaru plan ahead of the average strategist but you don't encounter a lot of jutsu makers they have to have a very solid understanding of natures, chakra manipulation as well as chaka control and how to balance. In the kakuzu fight shikamaru never thought of how earth was vulnerable to lightning kakashi figured that out. Shikamaru came up with a plan. Minato is just smarter

Who's smarter Minato or Shikamaru

Minato's is smarter because he learn the rasengan, FTG, summoning and sealing technique at young age and during the third great shinobi war what for you can ask for. :flaw:

Yes Shikamaru is intelligent but Minato was the Hokage and thats not taken for granted... Except for Tsunade.

Woah woah woah. Tsunade is one of if not the greatest Healer-nin of all time. Especially since Chiyo has died.

Thats not entirely true. Minato most likely had the ability to use nature manipulation, but it was to hard to add BEFORE he died. His young and unexpected death were the factors that inhibited him from doing so. In naruto's case he accomplished this feat in a few days due to all the shadow clones he used. When training Kakashi told him to make as many clones as there were leaves on the tree, which has to be at least 1000 or so. Multiply that by the days of training, and you've got years worth of training.

My original point is that its alot harder to manipulate nature chakara than people think. its a skill that shouldnt be underestimated

Not even the fourth could manipulate his Nature chakra into rasengan. Nature chakra manipulation takes years and Naruto did it in days!!

That was pure Hard work :flaw: ... Beside Kakashi said that the training would've taken 20 years had it not been for the shadow clones ...
