ok first of all... when they talk about geniuses in that way they mean as a ninja.. Sasuke is a genius, itachi is a genius, Lee is a taijutsu genius etc...
Shikamaru is a genius as in intelligence

genius means the same thing, since when does it have so many meanings?

Well being a genius doesnt mean that you have like the best of everything some people are extremely good at certain things but horrible at others, Like Naruto he has horrible genjutsu.

no it just means they excel at what they do
rock lee is pretty smart when up to tai(i never heard anyone call him a genius)
sasuke was kind of smart in learning jutsus and fighting
itachi as well a genius in those things too
shikamaru was excellent in startegy

I know that's why i included lee in my example, but what i was trying to get across is that shikamaru is indeed a genius as in he has a very high i.q and not as in how they say sasuke is a genius.. do you get what i mean? there is more than one way of using "genius"

yeah i agree, im just saying inelegance trumps strength and power, for example...A and sasuke's fight, although he may or may have not killed sasuke in his last attack before gaara stopped him, his recklessness would of costed him his leg and who knows what else hindering his ability to fight in the war.
