Rasengan is shape manipulation to the highest degree and he invented it all Naruto did was add nature to an already well thought out jutsu. But Naruto isnt idiot if thts wat ur implying

Minato was in fact very clever and smart. He figured out who madara was after clashing with him like three times. But shikamaru is undoubtedly smarter in terms of strategy. When he fought temari he claimed that he had thought of at least 100 moves to use on her besides the whole kunai parachute trick. Not to mention that Asuma said that he had a IQ of over 200.

Thanks to his high chakra and use of the Shadow clone Jutsu. He Used a Shortcut.

ok first of all... when they talk about geniuses in that way they mean as a ninja.. Sasuke is a genius, itachi is a genius, Lee is a taijutsu genius etc...

Thats not entirely true. Minato most likely had the ability to use nature manipulation, but it was to hard to add BEFORE he died. His young and unexpected death were the factors that inhibited him from doing so. In naruto's case he accomplished this feat in a few days due to all the shadow clones he used. When training Kakashi told him to make as many clones as there were leaves on the tree, which has to be at least 1000 or so. Multiply that by the days of training, and you've got years worth of training.
