Gotta love how Messi was crucified for losing the finals but without him they cant even get over the qualifying round, they have a 100% record of wins with Messi while only 1 win in 7 games without him.

The only mistake Messi did in his career was coming back after he retired, should have left them so that they wouldnt even be able to get to the world cup let alone dream of winning it.

Other than Ruggeri who was an above average player he had no one alongside, even Batisuta became a regular late in Diego's career. If anything it's quite the opposite with Messi having better players around him. It's just surprising to me how Messi doesn't seem to score in the finals himself giving how much of a big game player he is, I can never forget his first half against ACM in '13.. If only he can replicate!
