does Belgium count as underdogs?

i mean, i can easily see them get into at least quarter finals, possibly into semis (if they get a lucky draw)

today i heard a rumor that the guy from Arsenal (the guy with 29.9% of ownership of Arsenal, i think his name is Usmanov, smthing like that lol) would give Wenger more money for transfers if he got Rooney as well into the team

oh, and i am most certain Higuain will go to Arsenal

btw, what do you guys think about Neymar? i mean, today's free kick against Italy was quite cool imo

I don't regard Belgium as underdogs U_U For me, they are favorites whose true flaw is the lack of experience at top-level. If we speak in terms of chemistry level, they even seem better than some heavyweights like Brazil, Italy, France, France ect...

And really don't think Wenger will break the purse for 2 enormous signings. It's either Rooney or Higuain for me. And I'd bet on the latter too.

^he dived to get the free kick xd
Was still well-struck. :p

doesn't matter, that queer dived that's all there is to it i don't even want to talk about the offside goal, yet Balotelli was mauled in the penalty box all the time still no penalty.
yeah, because no footballers dive eh? ;)

actually i consider France to be really bad (since the final in 2004), at least their current team isn't that good imho, yeah, there are some good ones, but still, they fell quite a lot

oh i doubt he will too, but still, there is a possibility

Ancelotti is set to be RM next coach and will be announced tomorrow I think.

Sadly it seems Barcelona Thiago is set for United move. I really don't want Thiago to leave :(

Carlos Tevez is head to Juventus

With that deal being done, it means Higuain is Arsenal bound, unless City intervene?

Isco wants RM move, ahead of City

I was waiting for the coaches musical-chair transfer to end, to start talking about transfers speculations...

Oh well, I think it's mostly done with Ancelotti/Blanc confirmations. So, we may, as well start talking on transfers on the Debates thread.

And I want Thiago to come obviously. xD

Yes, now it'll be more intense. Thiago is simply amazing I watched every U21 of Spain and this guys the real deal, so much potential. I fear for Isco tho going to RM, as Modric/Ozil are still going to be there, he'll need time to develop.

Did you hear what Cruyff recently said? Barcelona should consider selling Messi with Neymar there now :O

I see were he's coming from, but no way, all of Catalunya will be in a riot. I fear for Tito, how will be deal with the ego's now and his health.

Well, United was linked with lots and lots of midfielders since season ended. And that was to be expected since it's really the region where there's huge need of recruits. Among all the midfielders we were linked, Thiago topped my list. Great price, great talent, young, affordable wage, thirst to prove himself ect... He seemed the perfect fit. I really hope we grab him but United will surely buy another midfielder - even more if Anderson leaves. Most likely Strootman and it's my second choice in any case.

As for Isco, he'll mostly grab a place in the place of Di Maria as RAM. That being said, it's Ancelotti now; so I'm kinda interested what he'll do with Kaka. He'll have competition against likes of Ozil/Modric as CAM and with Jese promotion to first squad, the RAM position will also be difficult to compete for against Isco/Di Maria/Jese.

I'm glad Isco didn't went to City though. I have to say, pairing Silva/Isco was looking really dangerous temptation and a scary thought for me :p Plus, Isco going to Madrid means that Perez stepped up to lure him further at the cost of momentarily forgetting about Bale. This confirmed my prediction that Levy's stubbornness will end up in Spurs' advantage in most case.

I can foresee a scenario though that CR7 doesn't renew his contract, making his value dropping considerably next summer. While, on the other hand, if Spurs fail yet again to qualify for CL, then Bale shall seek new pastures at Madrid. Which could, then see Ronaldo returning to United while Bale goes to replace CR7 in his position....

And Cryuff kinda lost it. That's all I've got to say.

THIAGO MUST NOT LEAVE :T_T: HE MUST NOT,...i mean,...Xavi is old >_> so,...he will be getting a lot of time imho
You must be registered for see images
JUST PLEASE STAY IN BARCA THIAGO :T_T:

to the whole Isco situation,...i think he should have stayed 1 more year in Málaga, just my opinion lol, dunno how big chance will he get in Real, nor do i know where he will play, i mean, Real has a LOT of players for those positions. i mean, on the left there is Ronaldo, and unless he gets injured he will play i would say like,...ALL the matches, on the right is Di María and possibly Jesé Rodriguez, and in the middle is Ozil and Modrič (even tho Modrič plays a lot in the classic CM from what i saw) so maybe he will be able to switch with Ozil if Modrič plays in the CM (well, more like CDM i guess) position)

Xavi isn't planning a retirement and in any case, didn't Fabregas return to Barca for Xavi's imminent retirement in any case?

I don't think any Malaga player is going to risk their careers at Malaga, if an opportunity at a bigger club comes - given how unstable the financial status is...

yeah,...and he plays BAD lol (Fabregas i mean) he played really well in BPL but in Barca it's nothing too good imo, for me he should be substitute for Messi on that false 9 spot, cause, he really isn't THAT good in that midfield lol

would rather play Thiago instead of Fabregas

well, i dunno, i feel that some great player is gonna be on the bench for Real, well, it won't be Ronaldo, but than you have 3, possibly 4 players on 2 positions, Di Maria, Ozil, Isco and theoretically Modric if we can consider him still as CAM, and actually Jesé is there as well, so that is 5 players on 2 positions from which 4 of them are already really great and Jesé has HUGE potential to be on their level, so i think Ancelotti will have to sell 1 of them, and the only one who is possible to be sold imo is Di Maria or Ozil, 1 of them has to go imo

note. i am Barca fan, but i am not that blinded not to think that Real is good team with good players lol

Personally, I'm of the opinion that Fabregas play pretty averagely in that false 9 position. For me, he's better suited in a deep-lying role that turns attacking mid. during counter attacks. A bit like what Frank Lampard does and what was Fab's role at Arsenal. Fab. has changed positions way too often in different Barca formations and at the end, I wonder, if even he knows, at which position he plays the best...

You forgot Kaka - which makes it 6 players actually. We gotta wait what Ancelotti decides...For now, we can only speculates. However, it certainly gives Madrid a great depth in their squad.

yeah, great depth but soon at least 1 of those players will get annoyed that he is on the bench and not getting into the game cause if we count Kaká there are 6 players on 2 positions, at least 1 of them has to go imo (more likely 2)
