Although I agree on all the facts you put there and the fact that we don't have a good team atm, I don't think Moyes was made scapegoat and wasn't given a proper amount of time. He had time and probably I should say whatever is happening is currently an aftereffect of Moyes era. United completely lost balance under his reign. All those Man U fans who are getting despondent with LVG's coaching and who for those who think he is a god, a few points:-
1. When he started coaching us(Bayern Munich), we lost 3 of his four starting games, also were on a verge of Champions league exit, but he then transformed the team by introducing youth players like Muller and turning Schweinsteiger into a DM which worked wonders for us, we won the league that year and went to the finals of CL
2. In 2002-03 season he led Barca to 10 consecutive wins in CL but also left them just 3 points above relegation.
3. AZ finished 2nd then 3rd in his first two seasons, then they finished 11th, but in his 4th season they won the league, contrary to public opinion.
So with LVG you never know but he is one of the best squad and youth developers in the world.
As for as his current results are concerned, Man U sucks as a team atm, moreover Moyes sacking was wrong and he was made a scapegoat for a bad team and wasn't given proper time.

Let's go back to the summer of 2013, United were EPL title holders, have in-form team and had a great chance to attract big names and work out on the weaknesses and what he did? He brought Fellaini for a really high price at the last day of transfer window, he failed miserably. Buttner?? I don't even need to mention him.
United should have figured it out already that they need good defenders and if Moyes was 'such a good manager' he should have figured out that earlier and should have worked out on that issue, along with CM issue, which is there from the end of Carrick-Scholes era.
Also I don't know what United's fitness staff was doing at that point of time, we had a lot of injured players, including potentially important midfielder Fletcher, who is currently the part-time midfielder.:| I don't even need to bring out his team selection abilities and the way he payed almost zero attention towards our young players, including our young center backs, the only player he developed under his reign was Adnan Janujaz, who had a really great potential and hence Moyes shouldn't be given credit for his performance.
Fact is Moyes wasn't suitable for this position. SAF made a mistake while selecting him.
LVG isn't god, even SAF wasn't, he was just a 'good' manager. Talking about yesterday's defeat, I admitted it earlier that we don't have team and yesterday we played without Rooney, RVP, Mata, Young, Valencia, Herrera, Shaw, Di Maria, Jones, Smalling, Rojo etc. So it is more like a slap to the mediocre team that we have currently on board.
I know rightLiverpool lost![]()
I strongly agree with these two points.I agree with most of your points and scapegoat was probably a harsh word, what I was criticizing, was the attitude to put all the blame on Moyes, he was a decent manger, he took Everton from bottom to top 10 position, even finished fourth, he is not as good as some of the other new managers like Rodgers or Martinez but was a decent manager and yes I agree and have also argued with my Man U friends at the time of his appointment, that he won't fit in SAF's shoes.
The point here is who is most responsible for Man U's current condition for me it's the board and Glazers in particular
1.They appointed Moyes as the manager who wasn't big enough to fit in SAF's shoes, that was the first mistake.
2. As if one mistake was not enough they let SAF's backroom staff leave at the same time, I know there were reports that Moyes wanted them out but the situation could have been prevented , SAF's staff was extremely trained and letting them go was a blunder, also David Gill leaving at the same time was devastating, he could easily have influenced big transfers.
3. But the biggest mistake was to not invest in the squad. SAF's biggest asset was he could get the max out of his players even the average ones, the board should have been prudent and should have prepared for the contingency that when SAF will leave.
As LVG said you have a lopsided squad, which is boards mistake of not investing and preparing for the time when SAF will leave.
Right now you need youth development for which LVG is awesome, also you need CB, defenders and wingers too.![]()
I was talking about long term development, for this season we will have to see how the new transfers fare out.I know rightReally hope they can pick themselves up and win this Sunday because Tottenham is better than they were last season.
Really not happy with the Balotelli transfer tbh. I'm afraid he might actually split the dressing room thus causing disharmony between the players. We should have just gone for hulk or someone else totally. but I still have a little faith though.
I strongly agree with these two points.
But i think Youth development at this stage is kind of late. Man u is going to return to being one of the big teams in English football but I highly doubt it's going to be this season that happens.
It just had to be Lampard, I was joking about it with my friends, the shock factor was incredible. That moment when Lampard scores against Chelsea.![]()
