Modric is a great player. Always liked him, but Madrid overpaid for him - or rather, Levy made them overpay..
With the fund they got last year, Tottenham use that, to pay the fees/salaries of 3 top-class players in Lloris, Verthonghen & Dembele. And, even if they didn't qualify for CL, they had the highest tally in an EPL season...

Personally, if Bale's deal goes through, it's up to debate whether Madrid would have made a good or bad deal. But undoubtedly, that would be an awesome deal for Spurs. They can literally bring 3 more great players, and add some fantastic depth to their squad.

Exactly, and I'd say that they'd be able to get more than just 3 great players if they refuse the current bid and ask for some more. And I'm pretty sure they might do it. That "leaving-staying" act has been going for quite some time, they might use it once more just to get some more money for Bale.

God of war, that news is untrue and bale as of this moment is still a tottenham player the news of the transfer is not published on either Madrid or spurs website or any reputable footballing sites, hence it's is simply put not true. I will advise you to pay no attention to the tabloids and mediocre websites who thrive on spreading false rumors and news. Real Madrid sure do know how to spend irresponsible bale is no wear worth 100 millions talk less of 105 million, this is a player who years ago tottenham were willing to offload because his performances were sub par of the level expected of a player of his quality, bales season was phenomenal no doubt but he neither reached 30 goals a season nor did he win the EPL golden boots, all achievements Ronaldo had acquired plus the ballon d or before he could command such market value, bale hasn't won any of those awards aside the PFA player and young player of the year award, bales what? 24? 25? When Ronaldo was that age he was arguably the best player in the world and still he couldn't command a market value of up to 100 millions euros, I don't blame madrid though the prospect of Ronaldo not signing a new deal and one questions marks on his future at the club, can force any team to spend big plus the pressure to secure a marquee and world class player after they failed to land Neymar didn't help, Madrid would most likely buy bale but it's a shame bale leaving EPL arguably one of the best and Competitive leagues in the world and surely the most interesting in my opinion. Lets see how things go in the couple of days, from a barca fan perspective I'm scared as hell because the shear thought of a team with bale,Ronaldo and isco is nothing short of scary. If rosell doesn't step up and sign a cb most likely to be agger or Luiz this season might be disastrous, in rosell recent conference he implied that barca are yet to sign up one more player, and simply put Neymar and this other certain unknown player are in no way going to have the desired effect in my opinion, we need at least 4 top quality signings to make barca become the once feared force it was 2/3 seasons back, let's see I hope rosell is smart enough and I have my doubts about this "tata" guy with no European experience what so ever I hope it works out.

Suarez is really pissed off with them, and may sue them... They should let him go, 40 millions is good enough, they can get another good striker and save some of the money.

I think he owes them one more season as Gerrard says but its pretty clear that he wants to leave. Wenger is doing his usual thing of not upping the bid but this time it may pay off. I really wanted them to sign Higuain. I was kinda depressed that he went Napoli.

Chelsea 1 - 3 Real Madrid (16 Ramires, 14 Marcelo, 31 & 58 I believe Ronaldo).

The game I've been waiting for ever since Chelsea joined my favorite three clubs in 05, two years after Real. Although only a friendly, it was still quite some fun. Even had a uninvited guest who ran over to Ronaldo in the 2nd Half. Ronaldo acted professional and just talked to him, giving him a hug and all until he was escorted away, haha =p
