I won't say much but we may not have any Spanish teams in the Quarter Finals. U_U
it's a conspiracy

A shocking result from Milan 2-0 Barcelona...a happy one too! I don't think Barcelona can win the 2nd leg and go to the quarter-finals. They have to score 3 goals to win the game, 2 goals to draw. Knowing that Milan will try to play a more defensive game, it will be very hard for Barcelona to score. Also, if Milan scores only 1 goal Barcelona will have to score 4 goals. Barcelona can win the 2nd leg only if Milan will play a bad game. Barcelona's adventure MAY...END...HERE!

Sadly.

Valencia still have a chance, as Ibra won't be playing and I thought they did a good job containing him at home. PSG will be difficult and odds favour them however. I do think Valencia may put one in at the very least.

Malaga are going home, so a benefit for them there defence away was quite amazing, imagine at home? Of all honesty I think Pelle came for a draw at Porto. Porto is a dangerous team however, but at least Malaga now have home advantage, so will see.

Madrid and United are 50/50, however United have never lost in a KO stage when they drew an away game and Madrid have never won when they drew at home, so it'll be interesting.

Barcelona is probably in the worst seat right now compared to the other Liga teams, but they can still turn it around I think they'll have to perform extremely well and seeing how they have conceding so many goals I believe Milan will score one. Barcelona will at least need to put 4 past them for insurance.
Well, it may go the other way as Madrid may pass and thereby, we'll have no English teams but as a United fan, I' have extreme confidence that they can deliver another great performance and get the job done this time. But whatsoever, this First Last 16 Round has clearly gone into the favor of German & Italian teams. While it was expected for German teams, a big hats off to Milan & Juventus - two teams where odds were against at beginning of campaign with Juve making its CL return and Milan being in decline.

Yes, the home goal gives them some hope but frankly, I felt that PSG should have won 4-1 or so at Mestalla and that, they'll be more efficient on their ground.

Well, that match is 50-50 in my eyes; like Man U-Real but still, there do remain a goal advantage to Porto who've got a lot of CL experience by now.

There's also the stat that United have been scoring atleast 1 goal consecutively at Old Trafford for the past 62 (or is it, 64) games. Plus, they've also scored around 2-3 goals at Old Trafford in this season in nearly all matches. The question is, how much they'll defend against Madrid. Back in 2003, their 4-3 comeback after Ronaldo's hattrick didn't count for much after the poor result at Bernabeu. This time, any type of win will lead them to the Quarters...

Yes, Barca is in the worst seat with Valencia but we do know their ability to find their game back. I think, a lot will depend on the physiognomy of the match. Like, they'll be under big tension if they scored 1 or no goal after 1st half. Also, what if they are leading 2-0 in last minutes of the game - will any of the team try to end the game with their full might or will one or both of them, prefer extra-time/penalties? Also, there is the question of when Milan will score (if they do) in that match. A lot of this match will depend on the timing of goals as tactics will be the same; with probably Barca upping their game...

Come on, don't speak stupid things. Besides, we all know how Platini has wet-dreams of an El Classico CL Final every year.

Lol, I didn't notice it at first :p @God of War: Celtic 0 - 3 Juventus.

Oh, sorry. Dumb mistake! :p

@Escorpiius - Well...I hope so. The only Spanish team that may go to the Quarter-Finals can be Real Madrid. So...can't wait for the second leg to start!

oh yes he will that's the plan letting him play for MANU then take him back when he's ready,40m pounds should be enough,
yes they could lose by 2 or 3 goal margin but De Gea save the day
We'll give him a box of doughnuts. He'll fu**in' stay.
And had RVP not found the bar or missed connecting the ball with his left foot twice, Madrid could also have lose by 1 or 2 goals.

De Gea love doughnuts, not cookies!
To be honest, De Gea saved a lot but also, Madrid put a lot shots off-target whereas United did have most of their chances on-target.
Bull shit.... everyone like COOKIES!!!!!!!!!!,
yeah i know but most MANU shot on target was not that dangerous, while Madrid chance trolled me twice/third time in that game.

When a player with €50,000 weekly wage decides to steal doughnuts from a small bakery, you gotta understand that cookies isn't as worthy in his eyes. End of story.

Madrid had 28 Shots [1 goal, 7 saved by De Gea, 1 onto the post, 10 off-target, 9 blocked by defenders]
United had 13 shots [1 goal, 5 saved by Lopez, 1 onto the post, 2 off-target, 4 blocked by defenders].

And in those 5 on-target saved shots by Lopez, I think there's the fluke save with his knees on Welbeck's deflection, a header on corner, the last-minute shot of RVP - 3 pretty dangerous chances. Plus, a ball saved on the line Xabi Alonso & the ball onto woodwork, I think United did have chances to nail the match.

Let's put it simple - Madrid shot more onto our defenders and onto Bernabeu supporters than onto De Gea; so they got themselves to blame. United were a bit more realistic with their chances. If they had 28 shots like Madrid, they would have 4 or so past Lopez probably.

While you two discuss about doughnuts and cookies we do have an important fixture today.

Barca V Madrid, I have a feeling this game Madrid may win on away goals 2-2, or either of the two teams taking it 2-1. Barcelona haven't been too good this year (2013) and Messi hasn't been that impressive at all neither.

Tomorrow we have Dortmund V Bayern another mouth watering fixture.

Well, he started it and as for Barca/Madrid, well, I'll let the pitch do the talking and not make any predictions. But I get a feeling, they'll reverse roles from last season, with Madrid taking CDR, Barca winning La Liga and both crashing out of CL. Though, I may be wrong in parts.

This match is way more important for Madrid and besides, he'll need to rotate squads before the CL match and as you know, 2 Classicos before it isn't the best way to do that. But if Mou plays a strong Madrid that does deliver a strong performance in CDR and do qualify, then he may escape the wrath of some Madristas, even if he does rest up some key players in the Liga El Classico.

Hmm interesting and possible. However I'm sure A. Madrid will make it to the final and since their out of Europa I'm sure they'll have something to prove as well, so either of the two make it won't be easy unless they get KO of CL, but the closes team is Barca right now to elimination.

Barca have to do the same thing. We need a miracle to beat Milan and need our players rest or will have no hope to line another day in Europe this season. Madrid/United are still 50/50, however playing away will be the problem.

Never saw such a convincing performance from Mourinho's Madrid against Barca. Though I must admit that Barcelona are continuing their poor display of San Siro in this second half. And it's at Nou Camp!!!
