That's not how transfer committee works mate, he can't even keep his players if the board says sell. Most of the players leave and he has to start rebuilding all over again.

The invincibles was over by 2007, still managed to put in a quality side in RvP, Cesc, Nasri, Gallas, Arshavin, Walcott and Hleb. He developed all of them, same goes to every player he managed, I don't think he ever bought a proved world class player other than Ozil and you know he is pretty good when he assists 9 goals in 11 games playing behind Giroud.

Truth about Arsenal's spendings is really hard to discern while I agree Wenger is very frugal in his purchase which is think is great but I have always had my doubt about their war chest or transfer budget, I really think owners don't want to spend much Juventus, Bilbao, Lyon all built stadiums but never moaned as much as Arsenal did. It's owner's and Wenger's unwillingness to take risk which prevents them from spending.XD
