Then you should have said so.. instead of trying to beat around the bushes,
Why did they continue talks ? because united agree with Madrid offer.. isn't that obvious ?

if you think Real don't have faith in Navas, you are wrong, they just did not want to loose the opportunity to get the best possible keeper, Navas is 86% DE Gea is 90% but both are still pass marks, it's just that one is better, its just that simple
It was obvious from my first post that I agreed with you and didn't agree with the actions of your authorities, wasn't it??
Let's get back to the root cause of all of this, why Real Madrid initiated the talks at the last minute if they were confident of getting De Gea next season?? You didn't answer my question. Navas is 86% according to me and you, but not according to the Real authorities. They still think that De Gea is far much better than Navas and that's why they were even ready to offer Navas to United. There is absolutely no meaning in denying the fact that Navas was just a stopgap for them until they get De Gea and according to me they shouldn't have even tried for De Gea on the last day of transfer window, period.
You let us worry about our club and Barcelona, Ok ? while you guys watch out for the likes of swansea deal ?
I was just discussing Real's approach towards their players, typically of their authorities and anyways we don't claim that we are the best club in the Europe, while Real fans does. So, higher the club, higher the expectations.

C'mon you can do better than that, if that was the case then Cristiano,Bale,Varane and Ramos would have left for United or PSG but nope... every last one of them snubbed united,

and also its official boys have fun bwahahahahahahaha

80 million for some unknown kid who played in ligue 1 ? and i thought Madrid is stupid for paying 30/35 million for Illarramendi and Kovacic.
When exactly we put official bids for Bale, Ronaldo, Varane??:|
Ramos was never going to join United and hence he shouldn't have been our priority. So, now tell me one thing, how anyone of this, snubbed us?:|
And about Martial, I agree paying 80 million is ludicrous and I got it. There is no need to reiterate it. It is done deal and this isn't the point of discussion. Point of discussion is 'De Gea saga'.

What does the authorities have to do with it ? all am saying is "why do people say this is bad for Madrid" that's all,
as simple as that, there is no root here because in the end of the day i'll put the blame to united and you'll put the blame to Madrid,

"why Real Madrid initiated the talks at the last minute if they were confident of getting De Gea next season?? You didn't answer my question"

that's your question ? am pretty sure i answer that, they do that because united agree with the offer,
why they do it the last minute ? to get a better deal.... but apparently united is still playing the hardball, so that's why Madrid play along with them,

like i said they do that to get the best possible GK available,

I was never interested in discussing who is to blame for all this farce, both side is to blame for being stubborn
i just wanted to know why this is bad for Madrid

I was just discussing Real's approach towards their players, typically of their authorities and anyways we don't claim that we are the best club in the Europe, while Real fans does. So, higher the club, higher the expectations.

Like i said you mind your own business, how Madrid deal with their players is their business and that is irrelevant in this discussion because as far as am concern everyone is content in Madrid,

i mean all kinds of crap is happen at united and you have the audacity to question other club ?

When exactly we put official bids for Bale, Ronaldo, Varane??:|

There's no official bid of course, the offer got snubbed before united get an ok from Madrid to begin the talk, there is actually a talk about Cristiano a few years ago but in the end Cristiano chose Madrid and sign a new deal,

And also the point of this discussion is not "De Gea Saga" its about "How is this De Gea failed move to Real Madrid is bad for Madrid ?"
am sure that i make myself pretty damn clear from the get go.

Any news about Neymar and MU? I heard MU is interested with Neymar?

They can get all players they want but they still beneath Barcelona FC and Bayern Munich FC.

How dare they tried to snatched many players from my fav teams

The funny part is offering 240mil for him =D Manure is becoming a bigger money club than $hitty.

Now that Rooney has broken the record with yet another penalty, can he be considered an all-time great for the national team ?

The simple answer is no. The fact that he has not won any major trophy for the national team will stand against him, as well as only scoring 1 goal in the world cup thus far. Most of his international goals have come from lesser teams, like San Marino and Switzerland (and penalties at that). The only argument that can be made for him is that he's been in a side far weaker than the likes of Charlton, Lineker and the rest.

I'm not sure what's worse scoring a single in the WC or the fact that it was assisted by Glen Johnson.. Roo did have a proper team around him though back when Becks, Stevie, Lamps, Owen, Terry, Rio and Cole were still there.
Btw **** Lineker and Charlton, I'd pick Gazza and Fowler over them any day of the week.

Yes, obviously yes.

What do you want to say about Messi then?
Wayne Rooney played alongside the worst English squad possible, so I don't really see the point in the argument that he hasn't won major trophy and hence he isn't legend. Same goes for 1 goal in the world cup argument, which I don't think makes much of a difference.

I never said he wasn't a legend, he'll go down as one of the best strikers we've ever had but that point I was making was that he's not the best. Comparing Messi to Rooney is silly too, considering Messi has had such an illustrious club career and Rooney pales in comparison in that respect, not only that but Messi has actually gotten to a world cup finals... The most Rooney has gotten to is a quarters (if I remember rightly). However, both have their legacies sealed in history.

Both Chalton and Rooney have had a 12 year England career, with the same amount of games and goals and by all means are equal but Bobby Chalton will be remembered more fondly for achieving the greatest English footballing feat there has been to date. Rooney will just be a number on a leaderboard.

I never compared them. I just used Messi as an example to prove my point that how it isn't possible for even the most notorious players to win major trophies. Again, that doesn't matter, Messi will still be a legendary footballer in not only mine but in the eyes of all football fans.

Again, you are undermining the efforts of other English players and contributions in the world cup win. Do you know, Charlton wasn't even the English top scorer in that tournament? What about the amazing team Charlton had with him??
I don't want to undermine Charlton, he was beast, but Rooney has done everything to prove that he is 'all time great'. Also, you are forgetting really important point here, Rooney is still 29 years old, so if he plays two-three years more(which I guess he should), he can easily add few more interesting goals(so, 'Rooney had 12 year England career' is technically wrong).:p

I'm not undermining them, I'm just telling it as it is. Rooney will undoubtedly go down as an all-time great, that's not a question but in the eyes of loads of people, he will not go down as the greatest and Rooney is 30 in October and so realistically he only has one World cup left in him. There are many factors that play into this that can be used to argue either side and in my opinion, don't regard Rooney as being the greatest of all time. Who knows, we might be pleasantly surprised in Russia 2018 :p

No he can't, he did nothing special for the national team, plays absolute shite in every big tournament and therefore doesn't belong with the all-time greats like Gazza, Lineker, Charlton, Moore, Robson etc.

Keep in mind that he's not far away from being the most capped player, He's 18 games away I think.. The most capped player with most goals scored that would be something.
Rooney on the club level is already a legend, although he's not half the player he used to be. Internationally, it's debatable.

Anyway, Footy is finally back :bouncy: How bad are you going to get it from Everton ?

He's been brilliant on club level but he never delivered on the big international stages.

I think we recovered during the international break and we'll smash everton 1-3. :lol
