[Theory] Gedo Mazo is the Ten-Tailed Beast

Maybe nagato summons it from the moon.

ex: When naruto summons frogs, they are at mountain something something and they teleport into naruto.

Nagato summons Statue, statue is inside moon and it teleports into nagato.

gedo mazo maybe would be 10 tails, like as it's collecting the beasts with a special seals, and well it does really look like the 10 tailed beast as it has arms, but something doesn't make sense, as it's coming from underground. It sounds like so6p put the 10 tailed beast's physical form underground, and not in the moon. As it feds on nagato, it really shows that it doesn't have any "inself" chakra, cause it was taken from it. Well as for the blindfolded eyes, it's maybe kishi trying to mess with us, so to believe in that, that it is the 10 tailed beasts. So maybe madara was lying, all along.
Or the blindfold on it's eye only symbolizing that it's eyes are the caster's eyes, basically the one who summoned gedo mazo is controling it literally. Again, there are many theories, which are can be true, and can be backed up with facts, but this is a way of kishi messing with us, and also it's a way of us to be curious enough to see what is really the true, which one of those theories was right.

nice theory. But the sage of 6 paths sealed it in the sky making the moon. But maybe kishi is trying to mess with us. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

that thing is not anything of the ten tails, in my oppinion it's just a container to keep all the chakra and fuse it back together once they are all there so that the chakra can then be infused into the body of the ten tails that is sealed in the moon

Now i see the pictures, i agree But it is a statue so maybe the spirit is sealed in the moon? And they need all the tails for the chakra, they have to body now and only the spirit get back from the moon to get life back in him?

Erm..
If I'm not mistaken, Gedo Mazo has nine eyes.
When Gedo Mazo is being used for the Illusionary Dragon Nine Consuming Seals, he is portrayed without a bandage over his eye(s).
Though this may seem somewhat irrelevant, it shows that Gedo Mazo has nine eyes and not one, like the Juubi.
I am currently incapable of posting image proof, but if you look up the previously mentioned technique, you'll see what I mean.

There is no doubt that gedo is related to the juubi in some way. (thats why they are sealing the beast chakra into it)

My guess is that it was created by the So6P, and that nagato unlocked it similar to how naruto was able to use the So6P sealing tech on the fox.

Gedo is a vessel that the juubi will be summoned with, but as it has been said before, the body of the juubi is sealed inside the moon.

i don't think this theory would work since gedo mazo has more than one eye. (i think 9) remember them slowly opening up when akatsuki were removing the tailed beasts from the jinchuuriki? but i do think it has something to do with the 10tails

There are 2 things that i can point out that your theory is wrong.

1st: The ten tailed beast has tails pushing out from the lower back and the gedo statue has tree trunks on its back.

2nd: It is said that the Sage of 6 paths created the moon on his death bed to trap the ten tailed beast within it, examples just like Nagato tried to trap Naruto in his planetary devastation.

So you have mistaken the idea of the ten tailed beast being the gedo statue

We've seen that the hachibi looks like with all his tails cut off: stumps.

Everything that the gedo mazo has shown points to it being the ten-tails:
the one eye that is covered
the stumps on its back
the fact that it is the container for all of the tailed beasts.

And I'm pretty sure if madara gets the kyuubi and hachibi in, the stumps will grow back into real tails.

And I agree that gedo mazo is the ten tailed beast, or at least an artificial body for it since its real body is suppose to be trapped in the moon.
