[Theory] Gedo Mazo is the Ten-Tailed Beast

I don't know if this has been agreed upon so Im just throwing this out here to make sure that everyone is on the same page.

The Demonic Statue, Gedo Mazo, is the mummified ten-tailed beast.

The ten-tailed beast has one eye and ten tails:

The demonic statue has blind-fold over one eye and ten stumps:

The blind-fold and stumps represent how the ten-tails chakra was split up.

IT IS STRONG. Despite not being fully powered, it can suck the souls out of everyone in the general vicinity and could even suck the soul out of a jinchuuruki.

I agree, but why would it only be one of Nagato's jutsu's? I'm sure that if it was the mummified ten-tails, it would be more than just a jutsu :/

I had this theory long time ago.. akatsuki is stealing all beasts and trying to put them all together in that beast to awaken it( ten tailed beast). Now he is weak because he still needs the nine tails from naruto and the eight tailed beast from killer-bee.

This theory is correct, it must be. The perfect wepon that Madara wants, is the ten tailed beast, so.. he needs all of the nine to awaken the most powerful Beast!

Gedo Mazo maybe would be 10 tails, like as it's collecting the beasts with a special seals, and well it does really look like the 10 tailed beast as it has arms, but something doesn't make sense, as it's coming from underground. It sounds like SO6P put the 10 tailed beast's physical form underground, and not in the moon. As it feds on Nagato, it really shows that it doesn't have any "inself" chakra, cause it was taken from it. Well as for the blindfolded eyes, It's maybe Kishi trying to mess with us, so to believe in that, that it is the 10 tailed beasts. So maybe Madara was lying, all along.
Or the blindfold on it's eye only symbolizing that It's eyes are the caster's eyes, basically the one who summoned Gedo Mazo is controling it literally. Again, there are many theories, which are can be true, and can be backed up with facts, but this is a way of Kishi messing with us, and also it's a way of us to be curious enough to see what is really the true, which one of those theories was right.

Nine Tails, because there are NINE tailed beasts. Its 10th tail would grow after all 9 beasts would have been sealed into it.

Nice theory. But the Sage of 6 Paths sealed it in the sky making the moon. But maybe Kishi is trying to mess with us. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
