So , i'll cut it to the chase...

since the timeskip we've seen haki and red hawk and hawk stuff , right?

so the gear 4th , since we've seen a lot of "hawk" variants , is about the red hawk (bc it's the hardest for luffy to do) , which in other words , is the variant of red hawks , fused with haki , gear 2nd and 3rd ... which means , he'll have power + speed.

btw , in this chapter oda gave us that hint that the gear 4th would be that when doflamingo stated that luffy is lacking power , so since we (readers) know luffy very well , what would he do if he had that "problem" he would create a whole new technique , to counter that weakness of his , right? and the name of this technique is GEAR 4TH.

Well he managed to produce fire with Hawk.

Well it would have big meanings towards Ace and Sabo.

Of course he wouldn't be able to hold the gear 4th long.

Hawk attacks are Gear 2nd techniques. Thor attacks are Gear 3rd techniques.

Hardly. He can't launch fire, or become intangible, or control fire, nor is he immune to fire unless he maintains Koka(most likely), nor can he shift the shape of fire. It'd bump with Diable Jambe/Hell Memories more than it would with the Mera Mera no Mi.

Hawk attacks are Gear 2+Koka, Thor are Gear 3+Koka. Without Koka, they're Jet for Gear 2 and Gigant for Gear 3.

Why is there so many terms for the same thing? Koka, COA, Armament Haki... Where in the manga has it ever said "color of armament haki" Why don't we just stick to one.

OP: I'd like to think gear 4 is not related to gear 2, gear 3, or any haki. It is strickly a new way to use his rubber body.

Yea thats right it would be symbolic . But what we wanna see in a Gear 4 . i want it to be something more advanced then that . Something with Haki .
