Both of them can take Gaara out. I don't agree with any of your points on these facts:
- Gaara was able to pull Madara out of a lesser form of incomplete sussano with the help of Onoki, not by himself.
- What Gaara blocked was Enton, which extremely sluggish and not as powerful as Amatersu.
- Amatersu spreads instantly, as shown by how quickly in mere seconds it had the whole Hachibi under its drape. Don't confuse Enton variants with Amatersu.
- Arrows have penetrative properties and have ALWAYS pierced clean through the target. They went straight through a thick cavern spike. And with enton around it, it will go clean through Gaara's defense.
- Gaara's san manipulation is not fast enough for Amatersu, arrows, Magatamas, and is extremely weak before his Chidori variants.
- Sasuke's Sussano in incomplete form was better than Gaara's absolute defense, which takes a large amount of chakra to begin with, and now he has CS.
- Itachi has Yata Mirror, so forget Gaara hitting his sussano.
- Itachi has a colossal genjutsu adtance, and he can even cast it with his fingers. Gaara is not Gai, he is literally a statinoary ninja and has never shown any taijutsu feats. The second he looks at the eyes to aviod a potential Amatersu flame, both him and Itachi can put him under genjutsu, and he is not escaping Itachi's alive.
- Itachi's sword and Magatama are extremely quick and for how long will Gaara keep up his defense if Itachi uses Amatersu as well to make his Absolute defense useless?
This is a mid-difference max victory for Itachi and Sasuke. Gaara is not wining a one on one fight, let alone a 2 versus 1. He'll get killed fairly quickly.
