If its 1 vs 1, sasuke will see the sand coming since sharingan can see chakra, and gaara's sand won't be exceptionally fast since tsuchikage isnt there.

Also, unlike itachi's susanoo, sasuke's powerful amaterasu arrows. Gaara will have to play on the complete defensive just to stay alive.
