Do you enjoy gaming as much as you did as a child ?

Me, personally... i don't. I used to love gaming as a child but now i don't find games as enjoyable as it was back then.

How about you ?

I honestly don't. I call it a gamer's impotency - I can be hyped for a game, I can buy it, but it is very seldom when I play a new game for longer than an hour. I still do replay some old ones from time to time, though.

Well ive turned out to be a graphics *****. So i like my game to look pretty and as a kid i gave no sh*ts. I thought true crime :LA was the best game ever as a kid. Metal gear solid 2 as well and many others. Now i just wait for a favorite reviewer who simply keeps it real to his subcribers and tells us if the game is worth $60 or not. If i hear a game is too glitchy, always online (unless its a must have) multiplayer only. Im not buying. And wait till the price drops. I feel like i can still have fun like when i was a kid. The problem can be the developers and the way they treat their product. Pre-ordering is shit, Announcing DLC before a game is released is shit, EA is shit. Timed exlusive games and DLC is Shit. Thats just me. Im looking forward to Mafia 3, BF5, R* new title, FF15, Uncharted 4, Gears 4

I still enjoy playing videogames a lot.
The problem is that there are much less good games than there were in the past. Nowadays almost everything is AAA-copy&paste crap, early access or half-complete games that you have to complete yourself with 43593 chargeable DLCs. The gaming-industry itself just became really bad.

I'd say video games are even more a part of my life now in my 20's than they were back when I was a kid. I still played games when I was younger, but not nearly as much as I do now.

I think the reason for that though is because back when I was a kid I took games for granted (as kids do with nearly everything) but as I've matured and as I've branched off as a filmmaker I appreciate stories in all forms of media more than before. It also helps that games have evolved from simple means of entertainment to rich fleshed out stories and characters - I'd say even progressing beyond what films are capable of and more along the lines of what books and some TV shows are.

Definitely not. Plus when you're older you're more likely to get hung up on things like optimization and DRM. Which is fair, to be honest. Even if you're a nostalgia junkie, you're not really gonna be playing those games as intensely as you did in the past.

Naw forget these games that are out today cause they have too much glitches, bad servers, they worry to much about grqphics. Plus they promise good stuff but in the end they restrict stuff in the game like in cod. Only 20 guns and you can only do 10 things to the slot and there's not that much to do. Honestly I'm done with games until there's no more loading screens and better gameplay until then ima go work and get pu ssy

I still play video games but my interest in them has waned over the years. I can't say whether its age or that games aren't as good as they used to be.

And the first part is what I miss of the PS2 games--they weren't NEARLY as sloppy. Being able to update & fix problems has made them lazy

I'd say it's about the same as before. Better for different reasons and worse for different reasons. I definitely enjoy older games more than newer games though.

Well it's probably more that games are way bigger with way larger budgets now, so they always overshoot and forget they have deadlines. I doubt devs WANT to be patching games, because that's post-release man-hours and they're not really getting any direct money off of it.
