I saw 15 minutes of the british version and was hooked!! I then saw the trailer of the american version and couldn't bring myself into seeing it since it looked so bad.

The Sherlock Holmes and John Watson of the british version is so much better

a few things separates it from the rest of the show...

-it has no so called main character.!!

-characters dropping like flies, literally evwrywhere.!!

-colossal scale storyline.!!

-awesome plot.!!

-it actually takes a bit of figuring to understand whats going on.!!

Edit: Along with True Detective, Breaking Bad, and Friends, I have a feeling this could turn into my favorite show. I'm so glad they went with TV show instead of movies with adaptations of the books.

I think it is.

There is no other show that has so much lore or such grand and elaborate sets and costumes. It is the most expensive show and has largest production.

A lot of shows end up switching writers every season which is why they are rarely consistently good. However, Game of Thrones is based of a novel series and doesn't deviate too much from what I understand, which is why it is consistent in quality.

I've seen a lot of shows, but I don't think any really come close to Game of Thrones.
