This thread will show you how to play Game Boy Advance/Sp games on your computer. For those people who are to lazy to go find their old gameboy or those who no longer have one due to it breaking or well O_O if you're like me maybe you threw it against the wall when it froze. >_<
Step 1:
You're going to need an emulator to play the game on. It could be compared to the Game Boy itself and a Gba emulator is typically easy to find personally I use Visual Boy Advance. This Game has a Game Shark already in the program as well as a code breaker...
To download from the link provided first you must click the link once you have you should see this screen...
Click the link in the Yellow rectangle it will lead you to this page
Step 2:
Now that you have the emulator(Gba) you need some games =DD or in emulator speak Roms. These are pretty easy to find in terms of Google >_> and I will show you the process of finding one in this step.
1. Go to a search engine I used Google... you can use your own.. O_O once there type in the game your looking for followed by the word Rom for all intensive purposes I'll use Pokemon Fire Red... I don't think you need a screen shot for this part.
2. Now that you have the Sites you find one with a download of the game I chose the first one which happened to be Coolrom.com Now that you are on the site scroll down to the option "Download" and it will start instantly.
Step 3:
Now that you have the Game Boy (Emulator) and the Game (Rom) you can play it =DD after you put the Game into the Game Boy to do this you need to open up the file folder for the Emulator
Once you open the Vbs it should look like this what you do is go to file and click open Game Boy
Once you hit that it should bring up a separate window... You go into Downloads or into the direct file folder of the game since it was in my Downloads I just used it from there you can do the same once you open it it should start right up
If your unsure of the keys to use the Game you can follow the pathway in the picture to edit the Command Controls
Bonus Step For the Cheaters: Okay now this is simple it's just finding the Gameshark codes you need and putting them into the Vba which is not all that hard once you find the code you want you simply click the Cheat menu and click onto Cheat List you then click Gameshark a new window should open you just tittle the cheat and paste the code into the box and hit enter it should take effect instantly...
