Probably not. They want you to upgrade. They would lose money if they updated the S4 os to a newer model

Dont think s4 will get any upgrades, samsung should n will focus on s5 only to increase its market n sales. This is how the product market works. Make something n sell it, then make the samething with better upgrade n sell it but make sure u dont add these new upgrade to the old version as the sale of the new product wont rapidly increase.

Yes, it will.
The Galaxy S4 and Note 3 will receice KitKat 4.4.2 sooner or later.

It could take a few months, possibly when 4.4.3 or 4.5 comes to the market.

EDIT: At people saying that because GS5 has it, the rest should not have it, the GS5 was not that big of a hit this year. There will be a GS5 Prime and Note 4 which Samsung is relying on. The GS5 will continue to get updates longer than the others, too, so it's not that much of a deal. It's just a matter of look. The GS4 does not have the features of GS5, so it wouldn't decrease the nr. of sales of the current flagship.

Greatly doubt it; they need to expand their market sales, and increase their profit. Although iOS update (iOS 7) was available in most if not all modern Apple products, the update was not as great as S5's nor was there the same principle. Rather their income would decrease.​
