Yea you are right about the lariat part but I'm still not sure about him tanking a gated assault unshrouded. Weren't Temari's wind attacks damaging him?

I'm not saying Sandaime is going to shrug off MP, but he's not going to be taken out by it in one attack. It wasn't just temari's wind attacks it was her + at least 3 other alliance members combining their fuutons with her, and it hardly did anything to him. Had that been Kisame, he would have been in pieces considering the durability difference.

Sorry but that's never going to happen. First off, the raikage would have to use the one fingered nukite. Second of all(many people forget this) the 3rd Raikage KNEW what happened in the hachibi fight, which is why it became his "life's shame". The only reason Naruto's trick worked was because the 3rd was being controlled by Kabuto.(who had no idea of the 3rd's weakness). I see no reason why the Raikage would use his one fingered nukite against someone as fast as 7th gate Gai. He would simply tank all his attacks and outlast him.

Good point however I can reverse it in the same way and say if Gai knows his attacks arent going to do anything and he has to wait for the third to get serious then he wont be going all out until that point. Then the fight stays a stalemate right there.

Anyway again the Third wins more times than not but in that situation Gai could pull out a victory.

Gai loses more times than not... Mostly because his only way of damaging the 3rd Raikage is gated which he cannot stay for long... Gai shouldn't be underrated though... His 7th gates feat allowed him to him Madara and that's something Sm Minato couldn't even accomplish. I can honestly see Gai doing what Naruto did and cause the 3rd to suicide...

Guy is not replicating the feat of SM Naruto,
as the raikage knows more than enough that he doesnt need his strongest hell stab to inflict damage on Guy,,
and if he never uses that, then Guy is pretty much screwed, not to mention that the raikage tanks all of guys attacks and once he loses his gates, guy is wrecked
