I think it comes down to whether hirudora can blow off the third's armour. If it can, then asa kujaku will end a shroud-less raikage unless before he puts the shroud back up

Raikage tanked FRS, Hirudora isn't doing anything major to him. This ends with Gai's stamina running out, Gates being unmaintanable and him getting shanked with Nukite.

what suggests Asa kujaku is so powerful that it will end a shroud-less Sandaime raikage?

The only way Gai is winning this is with repeated hirudorah, if he can pull that off.

Raikage wins, neg-diff (extremely rare for me to classify the difficulty so low).

He tanks everything effortelessly, waits for Gai to 'solo himself', then lands the finishing blow.

Edit: Forget the above.
Full intel means Gai knows the 3rd's weakness. In the 7th gate he's definitely fast enough to make the Raikage wound himself. Maybe even the 6th gate would do it.
Gai wins, mid-high diff.

Edit#2: TheMist enlightened me back to my original decision :D Unfortunately i can't rep him now.
Full intel goes both ways. That means the 3rd doesn't have to risk himself amd go for a one finger nukite, the weakest with four is more than enough.

Raikage wins. Hirudora isn't doing much damage to him. In the end he simply outlasts Gai.

7th gate guy should have great enough reflexes to push the Third's arm into himself like SM Naruto did and since he has full intel I dont see how he wouldnt pull it off. But Third wins more times than not.

3rd wins.
he'll trade blows w/ Gai, possibly when the latter tries the opening gambit kick for asa kujaku, & the match will be decided.

Sorry but that's never going to happen. First off, the raikage would have to use the one fingered nukite. Second of all(many people forget this) the 3rd Raikage KNEW what happened in the hachibi fight, which is why it became his "life's shame". The only reason Naruto's trick worked was because the 3rd was being controlled by Kabuto.(who had no idea of the 3rd's weakness). I see no reason why the Raikage would use his one fingered nukite against someone as fast as 7th gate Gai. He would simply tank all his attacks and outlast him.

Full intel? Gai might be able to make Raikage finger himself. Although that's unlikely.

Asa Kujaku was strong enough to kill Kisame's 30% chakra clone, which shares the same durability as the original (who survived V2 lariat before being healed by Samehada). The barrage of punches also lit the body on fire and was only put out because it fell into the water. Gai's strength is also enhanced while in gates, so his regular taijutsu hits much harder as well.

Kisame isn't anywhere near Sandaime raikage's durability. He gets pierced by normal swords and kunai. He said that bee's raiton pencil would have went right through him if he hadn't dodged it.

He also didn't even take a direct hit from the V2 lariat, the attack went through chakra absorbing samehada first and then whatever was left of the attack hit kisame. Had kisame taken the hit directly, I'm pretty sure he would have died instantly, or been turned into a head and a pair of legs.

Yea you are right about the lariat part but I'm still not sure about him tanking a gated assault unshrouded. Weren't Temari's wind attacks damaging him?
