A>B>C logic does not work in Naruto especially when dealing with characters who are the worst possible matchup for another (Kisame vs Bee), and when characters are restricted in one battle (Bee couldn't go full hachibi vs kisame and was watching after his friends) but are not in other battles.
Gai has nothing that can put down A. Piercing his raiton armor needs a single-highpowered attack.
Morning peacock wont do it.
Afternoon tiger possibly can, but it couldn't even knock out kisame who took it point blank, and there is no way afternoon tiger will even hit A as he will not be standing there letting the tech approach him as he talks about how his shark is suppose to devour it.
And even if it hits A, it will be far from what is needed to put him down as his defenses are far greater than kisames.
