He did that in one exchange, preventing himself from getting warped in one exchange doesn't mean he's going to do that the whole match and end up beating Obito.

Gates? Gates aren't helping anything since Gai isn't moving at speeds Obito can't react to with Kamui.

The key to beating Obito is understanding Kamui, being able to prevent yourself from getting warped, and a method to actually defeat Kamui and defeat him in the process. Gai hasn't shown the last one, and the second one is something he did in one exchange, not a whole match of fighting a guy who can pass through all your attacks, and attack you with Kamui or his own jutsu, especially when one touch ends it.

The point is, we can't say gai can't do this the entire match, that's his comfort zone. Also, we can't say that obito will be able to react to every single offensive attack. Unpredictability is key here.

Gates is about the amount punches/kicks he can burst out at once. Not about foot speed, if that's what you're referring to.

The last method needing to defeat Obito is something that needs.to.be concluded by observers, which is.why i.made the thread. This isnt in the Vs section. Lol

That last method can very well be accomplished. Just as we haven't seen Obito be able.ro touch Gai,ppl conclude that he will eventually. Well i say Gai will eventually outclass him!

I don't even like Obito and he's being heavily underrated here.

Unless Guy can attack consistently for 5 minutes straight, he isn't getting past Kamui. And in the event he does hit Obito, nothing short of Morning Peacock will put a dent in him.

And this is just considering Obito is just using the catch-and-crush strategy.

The simple act of getting close to Obito gives him the element of surprise, since this can happen literally at any moment.

Guy using the Gates its basically a death sentence, because not only can Obito escape for its entire duration with Kamui, but once Guy is down and worn out:

Even if Guy has info on Kamui, he has to be able to consistently counter for it to be of any use.

To the people saying that Gai would be worn out after using the Gates, he has shown to recover quick enough from the side effects, not showing any fatigue when he deactivated 6th Gate and showing side effects way after his fight with Kisame.

Lool to be honest, it's been shown that superior speed can overcome the Sharingan and since Obito is obviously wearing plot armour this allows him to be undefeated by Gai DUE TO PLOT. Obito avoiding Gai's roundhouse in gates and a surprise attack from Gai wielding his Nunchucks, both of them appearing without Obito even realising where the attack was coming from, is major bull and you all know it.

Unless Gai was attacking up, close and personal, then I can understand Obito avoiding Kamui since its a reckless attack. Obito should've gotten his mask shattered by Gai when he first appeared, since Gai was attacking Obito's blind spot.

At the end of the day, Obito has a borrowed power-up.
Without Senju cells, he would be fodder and wouldn't even be able to spam Kamui.

One has not been able to touch the other. This was Gai w/o gates. Therefore, the fact remains Obito hasn't been able to touch base Gai

Kaeijin wouldn't be smart to use seeing as ot wouldn't help Obito is the situation. Obito will be shielded, but would need to leave in order to make contact with Gai. Also, he wouldn't have the time to perform the jutsu
